One pack of 1979 OPC hockey purchased from BBCE at the National for $275. Unfortunately still no Gretzky. Some nicely centered commons but most have a soft corner or two.
Two packs of 1980/81 OPC hockey purchased from BBCE at the National for $65 per pack. I need Langway and Goulet in PSA 9 for my PC but didn't get a single HOFer in either pack. Scanned a couple of the better commons.
Going to open another pack or two of 86/87 Fleer basketball. Odds are not in my favor on getting another Jordan (I believe 2 of the 3 that are normally in a box have been pulled thus far).

Last nine packs from a 1975 Topps mini box purchased from BBCE at the National for $995. Pulled another Brett RC but it is way OC unfortunately. Most of the packs I opened had 3 decently centered cards right after the gum card and the gum card was normally well centered. All the other cards in the pack were OC. The Carter was a gum card that I did the freezer trick on, without the gum it would have been a 8/9. Unfortunately it is probably going to get a PD or down grade because the gum did slightly damage the finish of the card. I need a Carter PSA 9 for my PC so kinda bummed that it was damaged in the pack.
Overall a very fun box to open but not too many stars (those 9 "star" cards are all that were in the entire box). Happy to pull a couple Brett rookies. I have a bunch of cards to send to PSA that have a pretty good shot at being 9s with a couple that might be 10s.

Fergie This thread is awesome and I must say you have large stones. I have roughly 500 unopened boxes of football and basketball from 1973-1985 Topps. Most are in sealed cases however I do have 50 boxes or so that are PSA graded. If you ever want to break some of my stuff please let me know. I will be glad to send you scans of all of it to prove it is legit. I bought most of my stuff from Dave and Adams and auction houses over the years.

Two packs of 1975 OPC hockey purchased at the National from BBCE for $55 per pack. Was looking for a Gillies rookie but the Orr is a nice card, probably a 7 or 8. A couple commons that are 8s or 9s depending on the grader. Overall happy with the packs, most cards in them were sharp.
I sent the 2 Jordan rookies, the Farve rookies and a handful of 75 minis off to PSA under the 5 day Set Registry special. Should pop next week, they were marked as received on Friday.

2008 Allen and Ginter box purchased at the national. Don't remember where I bought it or how much I paid. The Big Foot is an oversized cabinet type card with an "auto" ie tire tread. A little too gimmicky for my tastes but box was fun to open.
Grades back from PSA. Happy with the Jordan rookies, I figured both were 8s so no complaints when one comes back a 9. Surprised at the 75 minis, I thought I subbed fairly sharp cards. Ohh well I think my subs from my last mini box sucked as well. I have 29 more that I am sending in under the $4.50 special. The Federko was a crack and resub, same grade as before. I don't know which Jordan got the 9 so will update the 86 fleer posts when I get those cards back.

I believe it is virtually impossible to slab a "short" mini like the Taveras these days...though it's better for the hobby as a whole, IMO..
