<< <i>Thanks for the summation Robb - you are right on that 75 box - big blow to the ROI. You did pull some beauties though. Have you been selling the raw commons? There is sometimes more value there than you might think. >>

I agree, I have been buying raw 75's on ebay and have spent a small fortune. If you decide to sell some raw on ebay or the bst let me know!

My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009. We were stunned that another child of ours had been diagnosed. Please, if you don't have a favorite charity, consider giving to the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)

Four packs of 1977 Topps football purchased from BBCE as part of a group rip for $20 per pack. Need a Mike Haynes PSA 9 for my PC. Pulled a nice HOF RC but not the right one. Selmon looks like an 8 with a chance at a 9.

Three packs of 1980/81 Topps basketball purchased from BBCE as part of a group rip for $28.75 per pack. Pretty good luck on the 3 packs. The Bird/Magic is an 8 but will probably get a PD qualifier.

Three packs of 1980/81 OPC hockey purchased from BBCE for $65 per pack. Pulled a Gretzky which was cool, probably a 7, but was looking for a Langway or Goulet in PSA 9 condition.

Next up a box of 2009 Playoff Contenders football.

One box of 2009 Playoff Contenders football purchased from my local card shop for $129.95. I really don't like the look of Playoff Contenders this year but I did pull one of the big rookies (Sanchez) and it looks like it is an on-card auto as opposed to a sticker like the other 3 signed rookies.

Next up 2 1984 Football rack packs.

Grades for my latest sub. Not very good. Got suckered into subbing some sub-par cards for the $5 special. I thought I would get at least one 9 out of the 79 hockey but didn't happen. Pretty much the only year I pre-grade accurately is 86 Fleer basketball. The 86 Roy received EOT for the second time.

Grades for my latest sub. Grades seem fair, was hoping for a 10 on one of the Farve rookies and the Tisdale. The Gretzky and Bossy were both pretty OC, I asked for NQ. This is the 2nd time the Bird/Magic rookie has been deemed Miscut by PSA. I will be sending it to BGS or BCCG along with the other two I pulled from the box (both of which were previously deemed Miscut by PSA). Kind of sucks to pay ~1k for an 80/81 Topps basketball box and have the key cards be non-gradable by PSA. The Harrison was a throw in to get to 10 cards for the Feb special.

I have a complaint to register about the joker that started this thread.

I expressed interest in a card he pulled of some random former LSUer, but I never heard back from him.

A few weeks later, the card shows up in my mailbox. This a-hole had taken the time to find my address (from someone or somewhere) and dropped it in the mail for me.

Just who does he think he is???

Four packs of 1984 Topps football purchased as part of group rip from BBCE for $11.25 per pack. 84 football is definitely the best product for pulling HOF RCs, there are a ton of them in the set. Nothing gradable in the 4 packs but was fun.

One box of 1975 Topps mini baseball purchased from BBCE for $1170. Only pulled one HOF RC which was disappointing. I need a Yount and Carter in PSA 9 for my PC, was hoping to pull a submittable one. A couple nice commons but most packs only had one or two decently centered cards. Plan to sub the four commons in the second scan. My last foray into subbing 75 minis was not pretty, hopefully I do better this time. Will definitely buy another box of 75 minis at some point.

Done for tonight but up next week a GAI 9 1969 Topps basketball pack I purchased off eBay. No idea if the pack is legit or not but for $520 was worth the gamble.

    good damn point.

you're better off buying the cards already graded, b/c probability of you
pulling the cards and them getting teh grade you wanted is
    slim and none...

    for mini's at least

I'll probably be buying a box or two of 75 Minis this year or next. The issue with me is I'm building a pack pulled graded set for my PC. So anything I get will be gradeable. Hopefully in the few boxes I get centering is decent.

The last time I saw Howie Long, was in "3,000 miles to graceland" a few nights ago.

Those mini's look tough. Although more economical than regular 75's. Not an easy year.
