Jones will be a HOFer for the Chief, but the Bills Oline was a yikes with how they got dominated. Was impressive the Bills scored as much as they did but that line has serious issues
Looks like the current NFL Head Coach penchant to try for 2 point conversions, the "riverboat gambler" mentality, has worked against the team attempting it again. It sank Brandon Staley with the Chargers and hurt the Ravens with John Harbaugh. Now Sean McDermott wants to use it to the detriment of his team.
If Buffalo would have kicked the two extra points they'd have found themselves ahead of KC 30-29 after their last TD, that was the time to attempt a 2 point conversion. Poor play didn't doom the Bills, poor coaching did. That's why Sean McDermott will be a footnote in NFL history, along with Staley and Harbaugh, and Andy Reid will be going to the HOF in Canton.
So now it's on to the Super Bowl for a Chiefs vs. Eagles rematch. The 3-peat would be nice but my belief is that Kansas City isn't as good as they were for Super Bowl LVII and that Philadelphia is better. So long Buffalo, your window is closing.
Another tough loss for the Bills. The bright side is I got to watch my team win 15 games this season. Only one team wins a Super Bowl and it just hasn’t been Buffalo. Their short comings were exposed but played a heck of a game. Looking forward to having some money next year, some new faces and another great season. Thank you Buffalo Bills! Stay classy.

very classy post. a lot classier than i would have been. i'm not going to use the overused rigged word, but I'm simply going to say that if there is an uber-critical 50/50 ball and you're playing the Kansas City Chiefs, best of luck coming down with it.
let me preface what i'm about to say by letting it be known that i had KC tied to a parlay. Buffalo was up 1 in the 4th and driving to put a stake in the Chiefs' heart. i desperately needed this to be short. but it wasn't short. I didn't think it was short when i watched the play live, and i certainly didn't think it was short when i view still shots like this. it makes me want to puke, truthfully.
you can't see the ball from this angle but you can deduce where it is. Allen had both hands wrapped around the ball and it was tied to his chest. that means it is in the vicinity of the 1 and the 7. look at where the 1 and the 7 are. all Buffalo needed was the ball to touch the 40.
the official on the opposite end had the ball well past the line to gain. the official on this side mind-numbingly ruled it short of the 40. they deferred to him. of course they did.
again, before i cuss, this is precisely what i needed from a financial standpoint. but marking Buffalo short of the 40 and giving KC a lifeline was complete and utter bullshit. it just never stops when you play the Chiefs.

There was zero chance that Allen was short on that play, it was a horrific call
I’m not arguing the point but we all know you must be absolutely sure, no question on any play that it’s an absolute win that cannot go 50-50 while playing for the Chiefs. It’s just that way. No debate is going to March buffalo down the field on Monday to win the game. They would have I’m 100% sure and I think the NFL was sure too.
W.C.Fields "I spent 50% of my money on alcohol, women, and gambling. The other half I wasted.
The situation with Buffalo and Kansas City reminds me of three times when I was following a favorite team.
The Phillies had their best teams ever from the mid-1970s to the early '80s. The trouble was the Cincinnati Reds were better. It was only after the Phillies acquired the late Pete Rose that they finally got over the hump in 1980.
The Red Sox had some good, but not great teams in the 1990s. Oakland was always better. The Red Sox never beat Oakland. After awhile following the league championship series was a waste of time and money. The outcome was totally predictable always the same.
Red Sox lost to the Yankees every year in the early 2000s. It was only when they came back from an 0-3 deficit in the division championship series that they finally broke “The Curse of the Bambio.”
Personally I don’t think that Buffalo will ever beat Kansas City in the big game. The Chiefs are in their heads, like the Yankees were with Boston.

Travis will be done soon and Mahomes isnt exactly young but certainly has several good years left. Reids in his late 60s and not really in good shape. Not doom or gloom or anything but dynasties generally only last like 5 to 10 years and the Ce-ifs are getting there. Unless of course Bufallo wants to be the Twins of the NFL who are like 1-21 in their last 22 playoff games against the Yankees
I have friend who feels like many others, would like to see a different team at the top besides KC. But he’d like to see Mahomes and the Chiefs pass Brady and the Patriots.
He’s a Steelers fan and loathes the Patriots, Brady and Belichick. 😂😂
Since Gronk played for a team that actually had rules changed to benefit them it's a bit disingenuous of him to cry about the Chiefs. We all know it happens. When the same thing happens to Patrick Mahomes, Baker Mayfield and Gardner Minshew most everybody realizes the call won't be the same, that's just how it is.
This sort of stuff is ridiculous. Not sure if Tucker did anything and don't really care, what bothers me is the way the internet explodes when stories like this break. It sort of highlights the dark side of the human heart and the way we glory in the deficiencies of people, or worse yet, are happy with the mere thought that that somebody has done something.
I seem to recall discussions here where members viewed "Cancel Culture" in a negative way. This sort of stuff only gives power to it. Count me out.

You know that is a spoof spin off on the hilarious disaster signing of Deshawn Watson by your team.
@Maywood it's just clever humor. same place i get a lot of the Chiefs stuff from, which i'm sure darin doesn't like either. you guys -- and i give you credit for this -- are bigger fans than i am, clearly, because these things bother you. meanwhile, if i ever run across one poking fun at the Bears or any Bears player, i'll immediately post it and el oh el while doing so.
I know it's all a spoof on Watson and I know this post was a joke, I thought it was clever humor. The bigger point is that when the story broke it was immediately fed by people posting stuff like that on pretty much every social media platform there is, this one notwithstanding. Trust me, judgement will be passed and Justin Tucker will suffer somehow no matter what happens going forward.
I love the internet, use it every day and find it an invaluable tool. Unfortunately it has a darkside to it, also.
Looks like we're in for some fun with the media for all the reasons... One of the things my wife and I do for fun - not that, but something we can do whenever/wherever - not that... we will each pick 3 news articles on apple news or whatever, read them to ourselves, and then we come up with our own headline and tell the other person about it. We're 1 month into 2025 and I've been absolutely leveled twice.
This Justin Tucker story came up this morning. Her headline. "Justin Tucker - Known for more than his long field goals". Delivered with a wink.
We're not judging him at all by joking about it. These matters shouldn't be tried in public, but when they are... humor wins.

That's a pretty incredible "in your face, you could have had this" statement by Belichick. The afterthought is, "Yes, we all knew what we could have had" which is why no NFL GM hired him. BB had a brilliant football mind that he cultivated slowly and then took the league by storm. It took the rest of the NFL a while to catch up to him but now that they have I think his personality and demeanor worked against the rehire by any NFL team.
I think his enshrinement speech at Canton, whenever that happens, will be a must watch event for any fan of the sport. Too bad he can't be in the same class as Tom Brady!!
How was Josh Allen selected as the NFL MVP, essentially meaning he’s the best player on football, but he isn’t First Team All-Pro, not the starter at QB??
Keep in mind that the same people vote for both awards.

IIRC the voting results for both awards were like one of the closest counts in history. It wouldn't be surprising to hear that most of these voters just went with one guy as MVP then giving the All-Pro nod as a form of recognition for that other guy having such a great season.
Something similar happened with Pats CB Christian Gonzalez, he missed all but 4 games in his rookie season a year ago and played so well in his return that he got Comeback player of the Year votes and was named 1st team All-Pro but he wasn't voted to the Pro Bowl. Sometimes the results just make zero sense.
@erikthredd, I saw the vote totals and the MVP was close so maybe you're right. It just seems to me that if a QB wins MVP he would automatically be the All-Pro QB 1st team. It's kind of like a consolation prize. I'd be curious to see what both players had in their contracts as incentives for both awards.
