It seems more prevalent in MLB at the trade-deadline to move players to a team where their chances are better at post-season play. That's the situation Garrett is in with the Browns. He's loyal and will play his heart out if the Browns retain him, but his immense talent is wasted here. The Owner/GM/HC will gain capital with other players if they honor his trade request. If they deny it and force him to play out his contract with the Browns it won't help encourage other players to want to sign here. And it's a foregone conclusion that with/without Garrett the Browns are going nowhere quickly.
To that end, I feel Cleveland should not only trade him, they should involve him in the process so he ends up where he wants to go. Detroit would be a good landing spot where he could play opposite Aidan Hutchinson.

Well said, If I were the Browns I'd try to help Garrett get into a good situation since he has been such a good Brown.

But it's a business first so who knows
can you imagine Miles Garrett added to that Eagles front 4!?!?!
George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.
Umm that would be diabolical

Aaron Rodgers, for better or for worse, has been a regular on "The Pat McAfee Show" for years.
Pat McAfee is one of the few watchable things left on ESPN.
I can completely understand the Jets wanting Rodgers at all practices but the McAfee show is on his own personal time
