We are down to one team who is still in the playoffs who has never won a SB. Minn, now Detroit are out. Leaves the Bills.

Regarding the Chiefs game the refs absolutely helped them a few times but the fact that in this day and age Travis Kelce is allowed to run free unmolested in the middle of the field that even I could throw him a pass is an absolute joke and that is 100% on Houston for allowing that to happen multiple times, even Aikman was astonished
On the Detroit debacle which cost me a chance to make about 3k if they made the Super Bowl,.they just lost so many key defensive players this year it finally caught up to them, and Goff throwing to Redskins players didn't help either.

yet he caught at least 5 passes with no Texans player within 10 yards of him

True but a couple of phantom PF penalties lead to 14 points. You can’t give any team more downs to extend drives
W.C.Fields "I spent 50% of my money on alcohol, women, and gambling. The other half I wasted.
Everything went sideways for Detroit today. Come in with a depleted defensive roster, immediately lose a starter on the first drive. Lose two more during the game. Ben Johnson calls a poor game (empty backfield on 3rd & 1 with Gibbs on the sideline when he's averaging 10 a carry? And they fumbled on the play. Williams throwing a pick in the 4th? Brutal). Aaron Glenn having absolutely no answers defensively - and not actually trying anything while also somehow getting a key too many men penalty without calling a timeout. Jared Goff with too many turnovers while possibly feeling the effects of an uncalled illegal hit on one of them. And Dan Campbell at the top unable to change the momentum.
Kudos to Washington. They were basically flawless. Daniels looked great.
To say I'm bummed would be a massive understatement. But... I felt this coming. Just too many defensive injuries to overcome finally. I'm excited for next year. Basically everyone is under contract and they will get better simply by guys healing. Bring on next year!
It's hard to win while committing penalties and throwing interceptions. And it doesn't help when the penalties just don't look like penalties, the ones called when/where Mahomes is involved. I will say this though, and I'm not trying to open wounds or make excuses, but what we saw yesterday in the KC game is the sort of thing that fans endured with Tom Brady and the Patriots for years. It was predictable then and it's predictable now. The NFL protects its star players and preferred teams, even when they don't really need that help. It skews the outcome of games and championships.
The most shocking thing from the entire Saturday of thoroughly enjoyable football was Jayden Daniels. The guy played and sat on the bench like a 10 year veteran. He always seemed in control of what was happening and was very decisive the entire game. Joe Burrow 2.0 out of LSU!!! I am really surprised by the Commanders rejuvenation, they are fast on offense and hit like a Mack truck on defense.
Right now I would call them the team in the playoffs that I don't think anyone wants to play.

The difference between the Patriots and KC is it rarely cost the opposing teams a win though, the Pats were pretty consistent in winning by more than a FG
Houston didn't lose because of penalties alone, they lost because they couldn't stop the pass rush and they didn't feel like covering Travis Kelce
Too much whining about the penalties called for the Mahomes hits. It is not like the Texans didn’t have plenty of chances to stop the Chiefs on those drives after the penalties were called. The second one looked bad and most refs would have reflexively thrown the flag even though the defenders actually missed his helmet. I think those plays should be reviewable like targeting in college.
In the end, the Texans lost because they just didn’t get it done on the offensive line and forgot to cover Mahomes #1 option in the playoffs (Kelce). They gave up way too much pressure on Stroud.
The Chiefs are being treated the same way the Pats did once Brady established his dominance. Everyone is tired of seeing them win but only the best teams in the NFL can actually beat them. I think they will be an underdog to either the Bills or Ravens but should be a fun game against either team.
As for the Lions, their OC got way too cute. The Redskins couldn’t stop Gibbs so of course they had a WR throwing the ball. If I were an owner I would not be backing up the Brink’s truck for either of the Lions coordinators.
Actually the second one was helmet to helmet while Mahomes was on the ground. So nobody here took the time to look at it on replay? As for the first one, how is this not contact to the helmet? Facemask is part of the helmet. Anymore it’s just mob mentality, when the Chiefs win people just look for an excuse to blame the refs. Gee I wonder if the Chiefs pressuring the QB 23 times and sacking him 8 times had anything to do with it?
If I were an owner I would not be backing up the Brink’s truck for either of the Lions coordinators.
i disagree about Ben Johnson, as 31 was roughly their average on the season and was definitely enough to win the game. the real issue was the defense being an absolute sieve for 4 quarters. so i do agree wholeheartedly with you as it pertains to Aaron Glenn. really can't believe he is being interviewed for head coaching positions. that guy couldn't have crapped the bed harder in his team's biggest game of the season. he had no answers & made no constructive adjustments throughout the game. i know they were depleted, but giving up 45 points in a home playoff game after going 15-2 is grounds for getting fired and never being hired again. the Lions couldn't have stopped Washington with 13 guys on defense. they were a disgrace from the opening kick.

Contact with the helmet is not illegal. The rule requires "forceable contact". That hit was clearly not forceable.
I have less of an issue with the second one. That one was helmet to helmet on a sliding player. The issue, of course, is the late slide that created the contact.
from where the zebra was standing, it appeared to be helmet-to-helmet forceable contact. but it wasn't. watch the reel below. It shows a side shot in real time. they may have briefly touched helmets, but the brunt of the blow took place in a legal area.
now for the problem: the NFL, for whatever reason, doesn't review this shit. it would take less than half a minute to get it right. why not do that? why does the NFL forgo a temporary stoppage to ensure a clean, fair game and instead opt to allow the complexion to be altered by a blown call? that i do NOT understand.

Why the hatred, why all the jokes about KC paying off the refs. It just goes way too far, blame the refs for bad, or questionable calls it’s not any teams fault.

and then when you sit back and try to quantify what her mere presence means to the NFL, it's even more gross. she single-handedly adds an untold number of viewers to any Chiefs game she attends. she adds an absurd about of value to the NFL's brand. so really, you're going to avoid doing the right thing by reviewing a very important call like that and instead allowing the complexion of the game to be altered, then reminding us time and again how you're raking in the dough after the Chiefs score and win games by repeatedly showing her mug?
it leaves a really foul taste in my mouth, and i'm not alone

You gotta have thick skin. I’ve hung around every year as everyone says Allen is a choke artist knowing full well most of Buffalo loses to the Chiefs haven’t been his fault as he’s played out of his mind. Haters will hate no matter where you go. Rest easy knowing you and I cashed in on Mahomes and Allen rookies when they were cheap and you and I told everyone to get them in their rookie years.

Never easy for Philly fans. That false start killed them and the 2 turnovers and 205 yards by the one player that had to stop. Philly home again Washington for the rubber match.

As Perkdog said, we went through it with the Patriot's.
I can remember hearing it all the time. The Patriot's had the NFL trying to dethrone them. Remember Deflate Gate and Spy Gate. Pats lost top draft picks Brady was suspended 4 games. I can remember Brady getting flattened and not getting calls.
I see it all the time on line jokes about the Chiefs. The problem about the jokes is that THEY ALL GO IN THE CHIEFS FAVOR. I am very tired of it because it keeps going on and on and now with Swift on board it has gotten waaayyyyy out of hand.
Turnovers are starting to add up, now at two for Baltimore. The Bills weren't able to capitalize on the INT, but TO's are a death knell in the playoffs.
I don't see that as what was going on. First off, the NFL isn't really "Sport" it's better described as "Entertainment" and as such is more big business than anything else. The teams share revenue so it isn't in the League's best interest to go after a team. Fans on both sides see what goes on differently and the rules have become progressively less black and white, they are now almost entirely left to interpretation. All the gambling changes in the recent past don't make things easier. Money is just too big of a corrupter of people than anything.
Call me old fashioned, but I think the "Game" was better when far less money was involved and the players actually had to work in the off-season and have some sort of career when they retired. Today, the average pay for a player in the NFL is somewhere between $860k and $3.2m, an average player is in the league for about three years. A lot of players are way past that.
@Maywood said:

Playoffs Lamar.
Bills game plan is pretty simple. Stop Henry at all costs and make Lamar beat them. If he does, good on him.
Rapp is a big loss as was apparently on the long play. Bills playing a rookie at safety now
W.C.Fields "I spent 50% of my money on alcohol, women, and gambling. The other half I wasted.
That fumble by Jackson is the difference right now. With Baltimore down by 8 points it's probably too early for Harbaugh to be thinking about a two point conversion, but it wouldn't surprise me if the Ravens can score.

and then when you sit back and try to quantify what her mere presence means to the NFL, it's even more gross. she single-handedly adds an untold number of viewers to any Chiefs game she attends. she adds an absurd about of value to the NFL's brand. so really, you're going to avoid doing the right thing by reviewing a very important call like that and instead allowing the complexion of the game to be altered, then reminding us time and again how you're raking in the dough after the Chiefs score and win games by repeatedly showing her mug?
it leaves a really foul taste in my mouth, and i'm not alone
you'll never be able to outrun a bad diet
@Darin
Yea, I noticed. The Eagles allowing it. 😒

Ruh ro. Hurts can’t move and this just got very dire for Philly. Rams with momentum and all the sudden they believe they can win.

Could they really?? 2:00 minutes down 6. Veteran QB. A lot of nervous Philly fans.

Playoffs Lamar.
Bills game plan is pretty simple. Stop Henry at all costs and make Lamar beat them. If he does, good on him.
Rapp is a big loss as was apparently on the long play. Bills playing a rookie at safety now

I'm. rooting for Buffalo 100%
He’s a bad man!

Tell ya this much McDermott best start playing to win and stop playing these stupid games with his terrible play calling .
That fumble by Jackson is the difference right now. With Baltimore down by 8 points it's probably too early for Harbaugh to be thinking about a two point conversion, but it wouldn't surprise me if the Ravens can score.
