I don't think anyone will be satisfied with McCarthy at the helm. When he was Michigan he progressed each season but that seems as much due to the makeup of the team as his talent. He strikes me as coming from the same mold as Darnold, mainly a pure pocket passer with limited ability to avoid a rush and extend plays.
Yeah, that's not accurate at all. His freshman year, he was used as a running QB alternative to McNamara. He ran a 4.48 40 in 2023. He's not a running QB like Allen or Daniels but he's not a statue like Darnold or Brady.

LOL Brady a statue?
He couldn't run but literally nobody outside of a scrambling QB had better pocket presence and evaded a sack better than Brady, literally ever

That's fair. I was thinking in terms of mobility outside the pocket and overall speed. In tiny spots within the pocket, yeah, Brady was otherworldly.
So does the AFC have the 4 best quarterbacks in the NFL. Mahomes, Allen, Jackson, and Burrow…. are there any QB’s in the NFC that are better than any of those 4 ? Just curious as I was looking at the matchups for the weekend.
Can’t wait for that Bills vs. Ravens game, that could be an all time classic if it lives up to its potential.

No one else is even close to this list. This is the Brady-Manning 4.0 of our time.

It’s really fun watching great QB players
W.C.Fields "I spent 50% of my money on alcohol, women, and gambling. The other half I wasted.
The problem with the 4th & 20 thing is that it creates lots of opportunity for defensive penalties which isn't fair to the defense. Do we really want PI hunting to take the place of onside kicks?
@galaxy27, that's an interesting graphic that highlights how the players have aged and how the position has changed slightly. When the Draft was held for those two Derrick Henry was the more powerful runner, but Elliot was faster, a better blocker and a better receiver. In the NFL of today the RB's just aren't regularly called on to be utility players and stay in games for three downs. They take the best runner out and replace him with a blocker or receiver. That's not absolute but it happens most often.
Henry has easily outpaced Elliot as a runner and his power lets him show his speed.

Does Aaron Rodgers Make Sense For The Raiders? I just ask WHY? I can't come up with one good reason.........
The only place he makes sense is a complete team minus a veteran QB. With competent owners and an established coaching staff. That doesn’t exist at this time. Rams and Stafford type deal.

Houston got screwed so often that what did anybody expect. Eventually it adds up to a tired defense and a two score lead. It all started with a phantom roughing the passer.

The NFL protects their brand - would you expect anything less?
Protection is one thing. Tainting a game is completely different. When the announcers both call BS on both PF’s you know it’s bad, really bad. And the flop by Mahomes was a bad look. I called it early in the week this is what we’d see.

I didn't mean to imply I thought it was good. Some of this is becoming a bit too obvious. Need to dial it back when I can't tell the difference from the actual game and the satirical Chiefs/Refs. jokes.
unless you're a fan of theirs, KC games leave the worst taste in your mouth
they look like a team that should lose by 3 touchdowns, yet somehow they always win and somehow they receive a present or five from the zebras or football Gods along the way
would someone please take them behind the woodshed and beat the living hell out of them for once

So far it looks like Detroit’s season is imploding. Too many mistakes on offense, no defense.

Just read the team stats for the KC/Houston game. Incredible. Texans led all offensive stats, even the penalty. That one stat hurt the Texans. But they lost the most important one, the score.
If you saw those stats except the score you'd of thought the Texans won.

Maybe Baltimore or Buffalo will wake up this season and play to their potential. The trouble is they will have to do it in KC. Buffalo had the home game last year and blew it.

That's ridiculous if true
A 4th and 20?
Should be a 4th and 35 and even that is easier than an inside kick
Those 4 would be the top tier in my opinion

Look for the same treatment in a close game for the Ravens. A lot of iffy penalties to help buffalo

I've seen it all now. Spread 9.5 and end of game safety to cover for the dog. I had KC $ line, but still a poor game overall.
