The pardon is for tyrants. They like to declare pardons on holidays, such as the birthday of the dictator, or Christ, or the Revolution. Dictators should be encouraged to keep it up. And we should be encouraged to remember that the promiscuous dispensation of clemency is not a sign of political liberality. It is instead one of those valuable, identifying marks of tyranny.

Somebody is ordering. I cant believe it's run out of available sets already. Could the Mint have miscalculated the demand this badly ? Or did a few order thousands of sets ?

Based on order numbers I've seen, compared to mine, looks like about 500 orders so far to clear them out.
Totally stunning.
Both the ease of ordering right at the opening bell, no delay at all, to the fastest "clearing the shelf of bottled water" pending an emergency scenario. What was the Mint thinking?

The mint was thinking the $1700 entry price for the AL was too high for many. So this was the alternative prize they offered...
Bought a couple as gifts for family members that just had children last month.........hmmmmm, may have to give them regular silver proof eagles instead.......

This is a sleeper. IF a couple big dealers know about it, it could be a sell out today.

I am quite annoyed.
What is the last order number from yall? Lets see how many orders it took to sell 75,000 coins. Mine was USM049852XX
Yup...snagged 15 at 1202p and went to order 5 more at 1203 and they were gone
Sweet. Hopefully they honor the orders.
My orders were 400 alart

I'm stuck in checkout, CSC submitted, waiting to confirm order.....
i am sure a few ordered tons
Based on order numbers I've seen, compared to mine, looks like about 500 orders so far to clear them out.
I think these will be issued again in the proof packaging or in a 2 coin proof set later in the year as there is no mintage limit on the coin.
It looks like it's not allowing anymore orders?
Don't quote me on that.
USM049852XX credit card charged
USM049858XX Backordered
Then the product was gone
So less than 700 orders probably
That will hopefully push my little order of 4 out the door faster, or do they ship larger orders first?
We know for sure whether the ASE-S will be included in the Silver Set later this year?
Here's a warning parable for coin collectors...
I've seen a few at 56xx. at 12:01 and 12:02.
My first order was USM049850xx, so about 600 orders in three minutes to sell out? Either there were some big orders, or they halted sales...
Totally stunning.

Yes. Mint said so. This year there was a product limit of 50K on the LE Silver set....
I wonder how long it takes for these to hit ebay
If you think about it that is a lot of orders. SilverTowne could have bought them all to supply their TV sales.
Yes and yes....
The mint was thinking the $1700 entry price for the AL was too high for many. So this was the alternative prize they offered...
So does this portend the 225th Anniversary Gold Liberty will sell out in 7-9 minutes? ;-)
Looks like someone put 100 of them up for sale on ebay for 100 a piece. Not mine, I like to wait a while, my box might just go ATS!

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment
I thought this was a dud how quick my order went through. Now, like always wish I would have added a 0 at the end! LOL
Order number 049849xx is about the lowest I've seen
USM049855XX at 12:03
Don't quote me on that.
Ordered 6 at the opening bell.

I've seen one sale for 25 at $100 each on Ebay and then the seller raised his remaining 4 to $130.
