Parking lot finds

Walked an empty parking lot for 58 minutes yesterday morning. 6 quarters, 4 dimes, 1 nickel and 8 pennies plus 30 aluminum cans. There are a lot of days that I don't do that good detecting??

Got a Canadian dime and a clad Roosevelt in the Coinstar reject bin yesterday. It's something, and quite a surprise because they're usually empty.

They didn't get where they were going because then are in my roadkill container now. Someday they will be traded in for silver.

Hydrant... Canadian quarters spend just as well as American quarters... with the SHQ and Parks

Walked the sledding hill and picked up 65 cents followed up by a trip to the CoinStar and scored another 22 cents including a Canadian dime.

On my morning can walk I was crossing a street and noticed a quarter. When I when to pick it up I noticed more change. Total: 3 quarters, 2 dimes, 1 nickel and 2 pennies. (aluminum cans - 36)

I would count Canadian quarters. My guess is that most stores would take them and well as other Canadian coinage. Did find 4 pennies at 4 different locations while I was walking today. Sure miss Docks updates on Hockey pucks. Maybe it will freeze up and hockey can be played again

Checked the high school parking lot before I metal detected today. 3 quarters, 2 dimes, 1 nickel and 7 pennies plus a QuickTrip prepaid card with $20.63 on it. I may be able to get a few extra Apple Fritters now

Nothing today... but I did see something interesting...At the Coinstar machine I saw two

women with SIX gallon jugs of coins.... slowly emptying them into the Coinstar maw. I was going

to wait around until they were done, so I could check the reject slot, but one of them was cleaning it out as fast as coins dropped there. Cheers, RickO

Today's finds were the same as the 11th. Quarter, 2 dimes & 6 pennies. Yesterday I walked in the rain a only found one penny but I did find 2 baseballs laying in the street as I went by some baseball fields

Any kind of Craftsman tool is ok. You can take the beat up or broken ones back to Sears and get them replaced for the life time of the tool ??

Discarded cans are not common around here.... I think most people recycle them.. Sure, once in

a while I see one, but that is rare. I did find a nickel today....not in a parking lot, not in the market... but in the gutter in front of my house....weird. Cheers, RickO

Well I did find 17 cans yesterday. I just didn't report it. Nothing today. Hid Easter eggs for the grandkids. When walking and collecting cans I smash them and put them in a Wal-Mart bag. I do stash some of the bigger items that I find to drive back and get them like an aluminum grain shovel that I found the other day. Haven't gone back yet. Same for car batteries.

There is no refund for cans here so we have a lot of people that just pitch them like good slobs.
