doesn't bode well for my bet next weekend :#

Bears fans better send Kenyan Drake a Thank-You card.

    edit: cancel that card...damn kicker

i am furious over that conservative 3rd down call

Looks like they were trying to line up on the right hash mark for the kicker.

That's a tough loss. I think next week's game will still be a tough one for the Pats. Trubisky has been playing great and they have one of the best defenses in football.

a well-deserved loss. D played like garbage. so, so pissed off at Nagy's play call on 3rd-n-4. conservative calls like that make me want to throw things. a 53-effing-yard-field goal off of that grass at Hard Rock that looks like rough on a golf course?

"nah, we got this. we'll just run it up the gut here."

i am so angry right now. hope every guy on that roster is too. they are going to need that mentality next sunday.

Why didn't the Jacksonville Jaguars play like they are today against the Cowboys when they played the Patriots? They look like the "pussy cats" of old so far.

Most of the QBs in football are overpaid but some team will go after him. I doubt it will be Cleveland though, they look loke they're committed to Mayfield going forward.

Yep, the Cowboys are running through the Jacksonville defense as if it were wet tissue paper. What a boring "game of the week."

just watched Nagy's postgame presser. he's explanation for that call? he was worried about absorbing a sack. in other words, he played not to lose. could have sworn we hired an innovative dude who exudes aggressiveness. especially after receiving a gift on the goal line minutes earlier, that was one of the worst pieces of coaching i've seen since...............last Sunday night in overtime.

I thoroughly enjoyed watching the Jaguars get slapped around by the Cowboys, the NFL regular season has a way of putting trash talking guys like Jalen Ramsey in their places lol

Yea not a chance they would consider wasting big money on Eli Manning, Mayfield is playing his heart out and is showing leadership to that team even in defeat. They need to stick with that kid going forward.

Someone is floating the rumor that Gruden might want to trade Derek Carr as well and he could possibly end up with the Giants. Carr,OBJ & Barkley would be a great core to build around.

They want to trade Amari Cooper too I believe I read. Gruden needs to tear that mess down and start over, he already set the team back with some dumb moves

Its just too bad Mahomes was off in the first half, he would have rung up 50 points on them.
Looked like he was just amped up for a big game, a couple sure TD's were overthrown.
Of course the Chiefs defense played terrible, but not much mention about how awful the Patriots
defense played. Doesn't look like either team is a Super Bowl contender unless something improves defensively.

Can you think of any other AFC teams that are better than either team? The Jags are playing awful and the Steelers D isn’t much better

It's been rumored that some Patriots fans may become Chicago Bears fans after today's game is over for some unknown reason?

We shall see if the rumor is true or not if their avatar changes to a Chicago Bears logo after the game.

Titans blew it. After the first failed two point attempt they were redeemed with a defensive penalty
so decide to fail once again on the two pointer.
Nice low percentage of success play call on that second attempt, Tennessee, you football geniuses.

  • DarinDarin Posts: 7,087 ✭✭✭✭✭

At least the Chiefs were able to stop a decent offensive team. Maybe there's hope after all.
Next up the Broncos get to come in to Arrowhead and get drilled.

Amari Cooper traded to the Cowboys got a first round pick

  • DarinDarin Posts: 7,087 ✭✭✭✭✭

The Chiefs just knocked the Broncos out of the AFC west race.
Between K.C. and the Chargers now.
Mahomes clearly the first half MVP, but still has to keep playing well.

No offense, but I thought that "the Little Bucking Horses" were out of the running before the seasons started. That's okay with me. I don't like football horses, both the Colts, since they moved to Indianapolis, and the Broncos.

I grew up following the BALTIMORE Colts and the Eagles since the two teams were about equal in distance from my home. After the football “inflate-gate” case with the Patriots, I was done with with the Baby Horses. It's cold in New England and the pressure in a football goes down as the temperatire goes lower.

It's too bad. But I don't think GB had a choice. Montgomery's teammates were anonymously venomous towards him and there were even reports he was receiving death threats. It sucks Aaron didn't get that opportunity to try and pull the upset, but people take things way too far. Good luck to Ty in Baltimore.

Redskins traded for Haha Clinton Dix. Makes that defense even better. They have a great safety pairing now with Swearinger.

No it’s not like the guy has a bad charge or something. I’m kinda defending the guy, it is possible he wasn’t sure he had both feet in the end zone and after all his teammates were crucifying the guy because Rodgers didn’t get the ball. Honestly I wish Rodgers got a chance and failed, I can’t stand the guy.

    You didn't watch the replay.

I read what the guy said in his post game interview - he was lying. The ball was clearly in the end zone, and the guy had perfectly clear instructions not to run it out...which is precisely why he was traded. If not traded he would have been cut.

It was a definitely a bonehead move on Ty's part but this is a guy who stepped up as a WR a couple years ago when the Packers had literally no active RBs on the roster (nice personnel moves there) and who took a beating as a back when they needed him to play RB. He played very well, too, averaging 5.9 yards per carry. Not many wideouts out there able or willing to tote the rock like that and even after he suffered a kidney injury. The guy has talent. A change in scenery may be best but it's an unfortunate turn of events that led to his departure.

The Ravens got a good, very versatile player for only a 7th round pick. It's a win for them. I think he can be an average or better player at both running back or wide receiver. He'll be a valuable weapon for Flacco.

Come on now Paul - you fully understand the game of football. These guys who return kicks know the end zone like the back of their hand. They are paid big money to be highly skilled at that. It wasn't close, he knew exactly where he was at, and he returned the kick out of selfishness and spite according to what I've read.

The Ravens made a big mistake signing this guy. I don't follow every player in the league as fantasy football players do, so I guess the Ravens must be fairly desperate to sign this malcontent, who is a marginal player that won't listen to a coach's instructions at a critical point in a game, and then fumbles the football. That is both unacceptable behavior and performance.

Bill Belichick would never have a player like this on his football team.

couldn't believe he brought that ball out in real time.

first off, when you think of prolific kick returners, do you think of Ty Montgomery? i sure don't. his long for the year was 27 yards. what was he, 2 deep? so if he doesn't have his best return of the year, he's not going to exceed the field position he'd attain simply by genuflecting.

second, the moment he came out, he rendered the two-minute warning useless. he in essence burned a timeout.

third, his quarterback's name is (was) Aaron Rodgers, not Nathan Peterman. just 13 days ago, AR drove 81 yards with no timeouts and 1:07 on the clock to set up the game winner against the Niners. who here would have put their hard-earned money on the Rams if A-Rodg had 2:05, a TO and the 2-min warning at his disposal? not me.

fourth, he was told prior to the kick to stick and stay.

no surprise he was traded for a ham sammich.

you'll never be able to outrun a bad diet

I get what your saying and probably lean more towards agreeing with you but there are possible variables is all I’m saying. I got a question, why the heck was he back there to begin with? Stupid coaching decision to start with, the guy was disgruntled in a big way, he slammed his helmet on the ground and wasn’t focused. If I’m a somewhat responsible coach I’m putting a real special teams guy with good hands back there and getting an agreement that under no circumstances do you step foot out of the end zone. McCarthy is an idiot and I’m glad Rodgers party got ruined.

What amazes me is how long the Raiders have stayed in Oakland after they announced that they were moving. Usually these things are announced at or virtually at the end of the current season, and the team is in its new home the following season. The Los Vegas move was announced so long ago that it almost seemed like it might not happen.

I can’t understand how the Raiders still draw any fans to their games. Who wants to spend money on a team that has abandoned you? I wouldn’t.

And why are they moving to Los Vegas? It’s gambling capital of the United States, and it seems to me that the opportunities for bribery and other problems are enormous.

    Almost hard to believe.

And the Eagles basically started the big money nonsense with him. However it was before the Eagles knew that they could get Carson Wentz in the 2016 draft.

Still, even at the time it seemed like a dubious signing. I think it was for around 20 million. Not sure what was guaranteed, etc.

Speaking of Sam Bradford, the Eagles at the time of the Daniel signing had the fragile Bradford as starting QB, who i didn't like. Doug Pederson had just come over from the Chiefs to the Eagles as their new rookie head coach, and Daniel played under Pederson there.

Seemingly there was a method to the madness. Daniel seemingly a viable starter if the fragile Bradford went down, or even possibly beating out Bradford for the starting job. Nevertheless considering the money spent, it was madness considering the background of Daniel of having no NFL success and he was an undrafted free agent years before.

Fortunately the Eagles did recognize their mistakes, and decided to cut their losses. They drafted Carson Wentz, quickly got rid of Bradford, and then next season got rid of Daniel.

In any event, with all the money Daniel has made in the NFL for doing so little work, I guess maybe he gets the last laugh? :|

Sam Bradford is way overrated. I remember when Chip Kelly traded Nick Foles to bring him to Philadelphia. It was one of the Chipster’s many bad moves. The Chipster told the press that Bradford was a "super accurate passer." Some how Bradford clicked for a while in Minnesota, but then the Vikings management perceived that he could not take them to the promised land.

Bradford can succeed if a team has the right chemistry. Usually that has not been the case. Hence he is a journeyman quarterback, not a franchise player like Tom Brady or Aaron Rogers.

Well it’s business as usual with the Tampa Bay Bucks. They are getting their butts kicked by Carolina, and it’s the only game on TV. :/ Boring.

When it comes to defense, the Tampa team plays as if it’s flag football or two hand touch. Maybe the defenders could start carrying stop signs to flash at the runners.

Ahhh it’s now 28 to 7. Too bad they don’t have a mercy rule in the NFL. :s
