Chance Adams to start the game for the Yankees today. Recently promoted from AAA Wilkes-Barre, Chance will have a chance to see if he can handle the heat in Fenway. I'm betting it won't be pretty for him. My money is on Eovaldi and win #3.
IF the Red Sox can win today and tomorrow, I'd say the Division race is over. Red Sox, in spite of ongoing injuries, still field a powerful team. Tanaka/Price tomorrow, that'll be a huge game. At the very worst, we still remain 5.5 up.
Awesome performance from Rick Porcello last night. Red Sox will be sending Ian Kinsler to the 10-day disabled list with left hamstring tightness. Let's hope the injury bug subsides otherwise Yanks are on the ropes. Still two months left in the season but this sox team looks like they are sailing toward tops in the division with much to look forward to making a deep playoff run. Just need the injuries to slow down.

The Yankees looked lethargic last night. One guy failed to run out a ground ball and the second baseman let the Sox get an extra run a ground ball single that he should have knocked down. In the old days George Steinbrenner would have put those guys in a big doghouse that might have led to their banishment.
Let’s hope the Sox can keep this up with no let downs.

I missed the last two innings but just took a look at the boxscore and saw that Porcello pitched a complete game one hitter giving up just that Andujar homer.
Hopefully we get no rain delays tonight, there is rain expected in that area for before and after the game.

Love to see the Yankees lose. Keep it up boys. Porcello was unreal. Game time was unreal.
Chance Adams has no chance today. Marginal AAA pitcher. Should be batting practice.
Sometimes a pitcher like that comes out the woodwork to pitch a surprisingly strong game. I hope not.

Seeing as how the sox are over the last cap anyway they might as well bring up Rusney Castillo as he is hitting in the high 300's . They could put Betts at 2nd base which is what he played before he came up to the majors. There are no further penalty's they would endure by doing so. Might as well get something for their $60,000,000 they are paying him.
Whew!
Looks like Kimbrall has had way too much time off in between appearances. That Price start tomorrow night could be so huge for his confidence if he can finish out the sweep. Hopefully the bats get on the board early
All kidding aside,Adams has had the best start for any of the Yankees starters these past three days. I bet most managers would take five innings while giving up three hits & three runs from a kid making his first big league start.
JMHO - The team chemistry on the sox this year has been excellent. Bringing in Alex Cora is a big part of the change because of Cora's "Team First" approach. It also helps to add JDM and his quiet clubhouse leadership (and power bat!). I may irritate some in saying that the best thing that happened to the sox this year is the absence of Dustin Pedroia. Last year when his teammates went after Machado and the laser show didn't back them that team never was right. Still a long way to go but this years team is light years better than last year. Don't tell the Yankees but it all starts and ends with leadership!

Heads up play by JBJ. I noticed that Febles was just standing around watching with his head up his ass while Bradley was making the right decision. Worst 3B coach since Dale Sveum
Nice win with 3 in ninth to tie off Chapman and 1 in tenth on a single by Bentendi.
How many of you fair weather fans hit the sheets like my wife for those last two innings?

I hit the sheets before the .game even started and didn't miss a single pitch on my Kindle Fire.
Well...guess who crashed in the 9th inning and missed the comeback???
I even said to myself..."never know, could be a great comeback"...nah, go to bed.
But it still doesn't equal what happened to them in 2004 when "the Bronx Bombers" (a.k.a. "skunks" so fas I'm concerned) lost the play-offs after leading by three games to love.

Ya know, Yankee fans will never, ever have that 2004 feeling that Red Sox fans have. Yeah, they've won world championships, and they know the joy it brings, but they'll never know what it's like to come back down 0-3 to win a series against your long time nemesis.
The Yankees can claim to have all those world championships, but guys alive today have
no clue what they were like, as they weren't even born yet.
I would say that Red Sox fans have had the better of it the past 42 years, just because of 2004.
If you asked Red Sox fans if they would trade places with the Yankees the past 42 years, I think the majority of them would say no. 2004 was just so special. A memory of a lifetime.
Red Sox fans are way better off than Yankee fans, 2004 was biblical and overthe past 14 years we got 3 Championships. It’s not even close, I compare the Yankees to the Celtics, most people don’t remember all those championships nowadays.

I don't trust price against the Yankees . I'd rather see his dog Astro start
Kimbrel was shaky, shaky...almost blew the game...and not the first time! Hopefully he gets back on track.
A win tonight would almost be a stake in the heart of the Bronx guys.
9.5 up, or 7.5 up, a big opportunity for the Red Sox.

be nice is Price sees the performances by Porcello and Eovaldi as challenges to his status and he actually "mans up" and shows them he has it too.

I listened to the game on the radio. Great win.
Kimberly is so awesome, isn’t he?
Methinks the orange haired one needs to be sent down...too many heart attack moments and blown saves lately.
He and Kelly are in their final year !
Nuther great W!

Great game pitched by Price today !
Price throws a gem and I missed it
Did get to watch my daughter play volleyball instead
Better to be with the daughter...tv has a record button.
Kimberly let up his usual home run in a *save situation. JD Martinez carried the team again!
Is Kimbrel hurt? Last week he was not throwing many breaking pitches. Opposition is sitting on his fastball.
