It really depends on how strong demand is through the holidays. If they are simply unavailable through Christmas shopping season, the retail price could spike almost immediately.
I was at coin club yesterday and brought a set to show the kids. Still a lot of people who haven't even seen the sets. Do they want one? Time will tell.

Or not. This would certainly NOT be the first time they called it early. They are running out of time to mint them as it is almost November. They can't make them in 2018. If they haven't made them now, there's no guarantee they bother to make them later.
