Guess that makes the ANA coins "Pre-First Strikes."
Non-ANA buyers should rejoice that these early ones get the price run-up underway.

Of course, you know how much money PCGS would lose in sales if they cut it off early.
Makes you wonder why the buyers on the opening day have to wait for a month or so to get their coins shipped when they have them all ready a couple of months before 8/8. Plus have 1000 of them available for sale today at the ANA. Those 1K pieces could have gone to the folks who ordered the first day and get their coins shipped sooner rather than much later

another big boy dealer trade,, I just cancelled my order for the Gold reverse proof.. already 13 coins listed on ebay ready to ship
IMO, these have been packed up and good to go by dealers that HAD to have had an inside "run" at buying these buffs. Even though, mint slave that I am, bought one I think they are not as attractive as the regular proofs are rather gimicky and Hollywood glitzy.
Love that Milled British (1830-1960) Well, just Love coins, period.
US MINT had RP Buffalos on sale at the ANA show yesterday. I saw a picture ( not sure if real ) of a PCGS slabbed RP Buffalo First Strike Black Diamond PR70
on the Coin Talk Forum. The Cert. # 26631509 comes up " this Cert. is not available for display "

PCGS is doing on site grading so smoeone probably paid up for rush service. $200 a pop for show express service.
------------------------- PLASTIC!! It adds a "little" and forgives a "lot". When people hem and haw when I want good money for my stuff I just say. You know what? If I hadn't paid up for this coin I wouldn't have it to sell to you.

<< <i>when will they be re-priced again. Can I still buy tomorrow at $1640? >>
You have until Noon EDT. >>
Ah-oh!!! Did you wait????? >>
I did NOT buy. I decided I would rather buy another 100 shares of CLCT. It pays a nice dividend and sales at PCGS and PSA are going through the roof. The Buffalo is a beautiful coin, but I don't have unlimited funds.
<< <i>So first strike started yesterday? I have 5 on order let's see when they ship if it is a day after 30-days i'll cancel. >>
So you ordered this coin for the potential "First Strike" label and not the coin? Whatever happened to buy the coin NOT the label? Don't forget, if the price of gold keeps rising, the current raw prices will be considered "cheap". But who knows? I ordered a crystal ball from the mint and it too is backordered.
"What we are never changes, but who we are ... never stops changing."
I ordered by phone on 8-8-13 and the ship date on that Coin is 9-8-13. Well I checked the website about 1:00 AM today ( 8-14-13 ) and the ship date for new orders was 8-29-13. I went ahead and put in a 2nd order planning to cancel after getting a ship on either of my orders.
Now I see the price has jumped to $1690, a $50 increase. Maybe I'll just keep both Coins now. Or maybe I'll jump in the Lake and float for a while.

And the splash page shows 8/29.....and with the lucky few in Chicago having actual possession in hand that's 3 dates for when these coins will appear. The Mint is a confused bunch aren't they. The right hand doesn't know what the left hand is saying and neither know what the mouth is spewing.

Shipping is handled by a contractor in Indiana. Disregard changes in ship dates. They will ship soon as the contractor (Fullfillment Center) gets them and ships them.
Projected date on splash page is for those buying at that moment. Does not affect prior orders.

Projected date on splash page is for those buying at that moment. Does not affect prior orders.[/q I agree with what you say and most here understand the nuance. But the Mint could do a better job. On the splash page they could say " Shipping date for orders made today is approximately 08/29/2013". The date on your order summery page would be for your particular order, "Expected to ship on 09/08/2013". How can orders today show shipping before orders made on the first day? Confusing and contradictory to Mint policy of shipped in the order received. Then to stick the knife in a little more and have coins in Chicago a month before the earliest date of expected shipment shows a total lack of respect toward Mint customers.

except desire for more profit.
