Very interesting, why do you think he is not buying? Is he worried about people backing out? Seems a big dealer like that would buy all they could at 75 over.
This could be old news, but these numbers are pretty interesting. This is from NN
"Tom Jurkowsky, the Mint’s director of public affairs, said that in the first five hours the sets were available, the Mint received over 27,000 orders. Order size averaged three sets, so roughly 81,000 sets were snapped up in that period."
So at 5pm est. there were about 20000 sets left and that doesnt include all the cancellations that probably occured in the first 81000 sets. This should give hope to us that are on the waiting list. Sorry if this is old news.

I would be worried if I was only paying $75 over the original mint price .That dealer may want to call each person and up that price to make sure it is secure. BTW I never sold any of my sets to a dealer. These sets have'nt shipped yet.
Bidding has brought the single sets to at least $650.00 on ebay. Assuming they start to ship from the Mint this week, do you expect these trending higher prices to hold, continue moving up, or fall back when they finally reach customers?

There are always some who do not want the OGP.
There are some sellers who sell graded without OGP.
There will be some who buy graded sets without OGP that want them.
My guess is you may have some competition selling OGP on these because there may be a lot of graded set collectors who don't care.
The good news is that auction listings will largely be free. Just make sureyou have a reasonable shipping fee. If they don't sell because of the fee... you're not out anything.
Peace4Darlin is my sister. Last night she sent me a pic of her order status. She was logged into her account. She had ordered 2 items. Prior to last night her status was on hold, last night changed to in process, with the above mentioned changes.

<< <i>I'm interested in what people, who have their sets graded, are planning to do with their empty display boxes? I imagine I'll keep some and sell some, but have no idea if selling will be worth my time...I hate to throw them away, so anyone have experience selling the boxes from previous sets? >>
There are always some who do not want the OGP.
There are some sellers who sell graded without OGP.
There will be some who buy graded sets without OGP that want them.
My guess is you may have some competition selling OGP on these because there may be a lot of graded set collectors who don't care.
The good news is that auction listings will largely be free. Just make sureyou have a reasonable shipping fee. If they don't sell because of the fee... you're not out anything.
Prior to last night her status was on hold, last night changed to in process, with the above mentioned changes.

<< <i>Peace4Darlin is my sister. Last night she sent me a pic of her order status. She was logged into her account. She had ordered 2 items. The ASE set shows backordered with no cancel box as of last night. (It had a cancel box prior). The other shows in stock and reserved with no cancel box.

System glitch...you can't be on a b.o. status w/o the cancel box. According to PBGS, none have been coded "In Stock & Reserved"
