Another example of why 2011 is a minefield for novice or ASE collectors who haven't done their homework. I find myself having to read these ebay listings about five times each just double-checking the nomenclature.
Successful transactions with keepdachange, tizofthe, adriana, wondercoin
PCGS Mercanti and Blue Label Flag, set only = $895
PCGS Tombstone (First Strike) set with a wood display case = $995 (I figure a $100 premium for the case?)
Now the kicker -
NGC 69 ER, set only = $995
NGC has a larger premium than PCGS over @ Apmex all things considered? I thought PCGS graded sets sell for more, at least that is what I see on ebay. Go figure.
Funny, they call the NGC ER 69 set a "Rare! Perfect Set!" I wonder what a 70 set is?
Anyway, only on left so you had better jump on it.
I noticed their PCGS FS70 sets are going for $1,495 (wire or check) with the box. They look like the Black label slabs. It is also a"Rare! Perfect Set!"
Heck, they want as much for an ungraded, open set as they do for the PCGS 69 sets. Strange!!!
<< <i>If the Euro keeps going south, just watch what happens to the prices of all of this modern/bullion stuff. >>
Then I'll just have to average down with $500 face bags of 90% junk silver. And if silver goes below $20/oz, I will average down with $1000 face bags. Is that a plan or what?
Up or down, your choice lies in the moment. If you wait to make your move, you might do so too soon.
Or, too late...
How does one carve up the opportunities? By the minute? The Hour? Wait a day, a week, only time will tell if your decision was the right one [for you].
There is surely truth in the adage, "No time like the present"... Then again, "Haste makes waste"...
The test of a good decision is the test of time. The more time one takes, the more certain the test.
Rather than be driven by an aversion to loss, or the greed of gain, I sold some, and kept others... on balance, I ought to break even.
Oh yeah... I really like the coins, too...

Nevermind,I just bought a $100 face bag for $1996.99. Hooray! That's the lowest that I've paid this year for 90% junk silver!
