<< <i>My concern is that I haven't gotten an e-mail. Also, what does everyone else see as their order status if they check it? Mine says "Order Status: Your order request has been suspended. " >>

That does not sound good. Did you push too many buttons and accidentally order more than 5?

<< <i>So, I was able to get to the payment step, where I hit Quick Checkout, but then it timed out. However, I've since been able to get to my "Track Order" page and see it listed there. So, I guess it went through? If so:

Same thing happened to me, I hit place order, then it crashed.. Checked my email, had an order number.
    That's legit right? >>

Same deal here. I hope it's legit.

Ya, Im pretty sure if you have the email you're good to go.
    Right?

I wouldn't trust their email system rite now.

My shipping amount is wrong in my email, but they charged me the same as what is on their website in my purchase history.

  • been trying for an hour and still no luck. Very jelous of those who got through
  • OK, so apparently I thought I timed out the first time, but my order (for 5) went through. I never got an email.

In the meantime I had tried ordering again and that one went through as well (5 more).

I already cancelled the second order, so I should be okay under the 5 per household limit, right?

I'm on the lap top with the Mint - and my order is in "continue Checkout" mode
and its trying to connect, and on the desk top typing this.

Its been just an hour and 2 minutes since I started this... Good God is this slow.
I just had to add a 5 oz Glacier Silver to my order - and its now crawling...

    edit:

My order was finally accepted .... # 3833xxxx

    Of course, its all backordered...

I agree. Neither my father, brother, myself nor my friends can get through. It always amazes me during these hot item sales how many seem to get through so quickly.

As I said, I just don't understand why it's impossible for The Mint to upgrade their computers to be able to handle such surges.

    Finally got it through. 38333XXX

I was logged in ahead of time, but got logged out because of how the site was bogged down.
I had less trouble with the UHR. I had my order through for it in eleven minutes.
This one was around an hour to get it through. I actually got them into my cart quickly, but
paying for them was a mess.

Why not trust their email system? If you can't trust an order confirmation email, then how would anybody know they have placed a real order? image

  • I got the email. I panicked though. I would have liked to have ordered 2,2,1, but settled for a box of five. Happy to get that.
  • I wish I knew how you guys are getting through - I can't load their web site and when I try calling on the phone I get as far as selecting option 1 to place an order, get told the call may be recorded, and then get a busy signal.
  • cell phone in one hand, other phone in other hand, on line and still can't get through!!!!image

Thanks for the advice! It turns out that it had not gone through, so I kept trying and finally managed to get one completed -- with a confirmation e-mail -- at around 1:08 p.m. My confirmed order had an order number of 38336xxx.

The only way it isn't is because the mint's website is so darned slow. They could learn something from Ticketmaster!

They say 'backorder' because they aren't shipping until 11/10

No confirmation email, but they are in my track order status. I cannot figure out why I did not get a confirmation email. I ordered five single sets and not on email? I have had this account for years so my email is in there system. Strange!

Don't you guys who are having a hard time placing an order lover reading about guys who got their 15 , 20 or 50 sets on order. image
  • When checking the order tracking does the status for a confirmed order read "on hold" and/or is a charge actually processed when you place the order?

Have the confirmation email, but no charge on the card..

On one of my orders, I did not see the final order page and had no idea that the order was placed until I looked at my emails and read the confirmation. Glad I did because I was about to place another order which would have made me go over the 5 limit.

Past hot Mint items tend to peak in the short-term after the sell-out, then settle down to a long-term plateau.

The 2006 3-pc Silver set peaked about $550 in the first months, and has been about $300-$350 the last 4 years. That about right, guys?

Another example is the 2008 rev 2007, which has a similar history.
