I think we'll be see the rest of the 2010 ATB's hit the market very soon.
Per NN:
Once an AP has certified to the Mint in writing on its letterhead that it has sold all of its share of the 33,000 sets sold by the Mint last year, it will be free to enter the secondary market to buy additional supplies in numbers and at prices that are not subject to Mint scrutiny or control.
This certification also is a required step for the AP to participate in the 2011 program.
Availability date for the numismatic version of the 2010 set has not yet been determined. The Mint has 27,000 sets of these that it will sell directly to collectors through its website and telephone order numbers.

Oh vey...such a scene...! I was going to eat a BLT while I waited but I thought better of it... >>
The way I remember the thread described @ MTB, NY. NY in Jan, puck public sales were conducted every 15 min., behind a closed door. Someone came across town by cab, stood in line, only to be denied pucks and was pi$$ed. An MTB manager or rep came out and told everyone to leave and locked the door.
True? False?
True or not, the MTB lobby OTC was a classic moment in this thread.
The MTB scene combined with the Gold Center standing in line debacle set the stage for the ensuing frenzy that we have all experienced.

It really has been an amazing ride. It's hard to think of a modern release that quite rivals these in terms of antics, controversy...the list goes on.
Thanks for the nod as well. Lots of folks have put in valuable contributions over the last two months. Some folks are in it to profit, some are in it to collect, most are probably in it for some combination of the two. Whatever your end goal, the contributions here help everyone. It's been great. Thanks, everyone....

In peoples opinions were the Amark's and MTB's better than the FideliTrade's? I thought my Amark's were awful, every coin had a significant scratch somewhere on it. My FideliTrade's (bubble mailer) on the other hand were great. It just makes me wonder why MCM isn't buying the newly packaged boxed FideliTrades. Any ideas?

That's a good question. Especiallly since I've been hearing that Fidelitrade's coins were by far more PL/DM then any other AP.

I had three 69 DMPLs in my first Fidelitrade "Bubble-wrapped" submission. Nothing before or after has approached that and I've submitted APMEX, MTB, A-Marks and more Fidelitrades. I think it's all luck of the draw...

LOL!
We got 20 sets and sold them for $2500 average - all raw - with in one week!
Craziness.
Much like that single, trend-setting APMEX (whatever happened to those guys?) set that started this thread and the ATB world rolling.
I too appreciate the time you all have taken to keep this thread relevant and up to date!
There has been no other thread like this for me nor do I imagine another competing with it soon, or..........

I'm messy. I'd have gotten bacon grease all over my ATBs. Not so good for resale value...

And to our benefit!

Sounds way similar to how the Ferengi on Star Trek operate

What an amazing ride this has been!
Is the party over or just taking a 7th inning stretch? I think it's the later.
We still have the 2010-P's, coming to you live from the mint, due sometime in April. I think I read where there only 27,000 each of those pups.

Thanks, everyone....
...and it ain't over yet!
It's good to see them back. Helps raise the noise level around here with a respected dealer showing buying interest.
I haven't quite reached for the mothballs yet. Close, though.

It is heartening to see MCM/George also offering continued higher prices for the UHR's; I love my $1189 per PL Mint cost even more!
<< <i>In peoples opinions were the Amark's and MTB's better than the FideliTrade's? >>
