69DMPL`s are getting harder to get. I just got an amark set back (3) 69pl (1) 69 and (1) 68pl. Thats 4 sets and 2 singles not 1 complete set in the bunch.Have 2F trades being graded they looked more like DM`s just hope they make 69.

There are a lot of people wasting a lot of money on grading. The price of grading education is high on these pucks. I hope others realize that save their hard earned money. During the past 2 weeks on ebay, the HS and Yos are fairly common in 68dmpl. Quite a few MHs too. There were only 2 GCs & they went for $450 & $432. And there were no Ystones. If you're going to put together a set, you'd better start looking now before the prices of those GCs & Ystones go up.

Ok...so ungraded sets are really stalling out on ebay. I'm seeing sets sell for $1300. After fees and shipping, these people are profiting like $150 TO $200. i guess its still worth it to a flipper, but at that price, I'm actually thinking about picking up a few more unopened sets. I think that once all of these are sold out at all the APs and the 2011's are underway, that they just have to gradually go back up in price. Does anyone think that $1400 is too much to pay for an unopened amark box?

I would definitely pay $1400 for a sealed AMark box! I've noticed prices easing back up on these on the bay.

I don't know if they're getting tougher or what, but my latest (and last) Fidelitrade grades posted and they were all 68s with a mix of PL and DMPL. That's not bad, but before I sent them in I thought they were my best batch of all, and I had been pretty accurate with my predictions up to this point. For anybody trying to build a set and interested in a swap, I'm looking for an MS69 DMPL (or PL) Grand Canyon and have a post on the BST. Anyway, here's the breakdown of all my submissions, by AP:
The above price quote assumes the "Regular" service level @ $30 / coin, with a 15 day turnaround. If you don't mind a 20-30 day turnaround, you can save $80 by submitting under the "Modern" service level of just $14 / coin. Here's the fee schedule link:
<< <i>Quick question, how does Fidelitrade package the coins? Are they in air-tite holders? >>
Quick answer: yes.
Long answer from their website:
" Regarding packaging, the coins have been a) carefully removed from the original mint boxes and tubes (we use soft gloves and non-abrasive surfaces), b) immediately placed in hard plastic containers and inserted into bubble-wrap envelopes, c) they are then placed in corrugated boxes with bubble wrap cushion, and the boxes are sealed with reinforced tape. Shipments are continuing to ship every Tuesday via FedEx. "

No, you must use Regular service. Period. >>
Why "must" you use regular service? MOdern says 1956 to date for coins with a maximum value of $1k. The vast majority (unless MS 69 DM) are selling for less then $1k on ebay. It seems like it's within the rules for Modern submission.

Because PCGS has stated you need to use the regular service. Their service, their rules. If you question it, you should call their customer service line, M-F, and they can explain it in detail to you.

Sorry for the misinformation. Several weeks ago I called PCGS and I could swear the guy told me Modern was ok. Guess I'd better start with the Ginkgo therapy.

200 is nothing to a pro flipper
If you have the money to spend you should buy all the unopened Amark sets you can at that price. I myself can not afford to buy any more
pucks but for sure are going to hold on to what I have because they are never going to get any cheaper with silver going up the way it is and
this being a low mintage year.
Sure wish I had more $$. Those A-Marks were beauts.

That one MS66DM is a real shame too. It took a good hit right on George's cheek. Otherwise it is a BEAUTIFUL coin!
<< <i>Ok...so ungraded sets are really stalling out on ebay. >>

I paid $187.95 plus my shipping to them
They do not send it back in the original box, they use a small box inside a priority mail box.

Im starting to think I was the only person to receive an A-Mark set that pretty much sucked. Upper lip hits visable without out a loop on 4 of the five coins and all with heavy die polish. Sold them on Ebay without thinking twice of grading them.
I knew it would happen.

<< <i>What is the cost of sending in a set of raw pucks to PCGS for grading? >>
Roughly - $30 shipping to PCGS, $150 for grading plus $90 for optional first strike + $38 return shipping and handling.
$308 give or take.
The above price quote assumes the "Regular" service level @ $30 / coin, with a
15 day turnaround. If you don't mind a 20-30 day turnaround, you can save $80
by submitting under the "Modern" service level of just $14 / coin. Here's the fee

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

Hmmmm... Seems like some SERIOUS false advertising to me. lol. They should atleast specify it on their fee page for all those people who don't know.
