  • So what is the sequesce for the Jordan pack?
  • thunderdanthunderdan Posts: 3,036 ✭✭✭
Just in case anybody wondered (I did), Steve is going to be sending out the packs randomly. In other words, if you signed up as #4 on the list, you won't get the 4th from the top pack necessarily. I'm guessing the Jordans tend to be in the same packs in the same location in the box. So, kudos to Steve for a very fair method of distributing the packs.

I hope there's a Jordan in every pack! You guys deserve some gems for being so brave! image
  • To pay for some of this madness and avoid divorce, I have put a big group of auto postcards, etc., up here:

They will go to high bidders ending this Sunday night. Good stuff. Maybe really cheap. We'll see...

I assume you are going to get it graded at PSA? MAYBE ask Steve for his opinion as to the best one before he sends it to you.

Someones a little paranoid. Probably due to a powerful drug not associated with the set registry.
  • Just paid an hour ago. I look forward to posting some awesome cards!! Good Luck to everyone who bought some packs!! Let's get some 9's and 10's!

Wow, 10K on a group rip. Good luck fella's. Just out of curiosity, how many PSA 9 Jordan's can you get with 10K?
  • MBMiller25MBMiller25 Posts: 6,057 ✭✭
Based on VCP of about $950, 11 people could buy a PSA 9 Jordan for the 10K put out for this rip.

But what fun would that have been...

Maybe next time I'll do a group buy searching for 9 PSA Jordan's!

A very valid point. But why do people buy unopened product at all? The thrill of gambling.

Anyone can pick up raw or even PSA 8-9 graded singles for less than the cost busting these packs. But the possibility of pulling Gem MT cards and having them come back as 10s is worth the risk to some.

I wish everyone the best of luck, and I meant it about those checklist cards!! I want first crack at them!

Yeah if it were about being smart, I'd have a lot more money and a lot fewer wax wrappers in my trash can. The gamble's what it's all about!

    Hey - I wasn't knocking anyone.

I've blown through my fair share of dough on gambling, strippers, drugs, etc. So I get that it's about the thrill/experience and not hitting the jackpot or even breaking even. Hitting a nice 10-worthy Jordan is not expected, but would be a nice bonus. Just like hitting that 4 when you have $100 on the pass line and 10x backing it up. Not expected, but a nice bonus. I would have joined myself but my days of blowing dough on the gambling, strippers, drugs etc. AND cards may be numbered. My 41 year old wife and myself (36) just had a positive pregnancy test - after 2 years of trying. I think I'm going to be a daddy.

    Again - good luck fella's.

That is great news and is much more exciting than any GEM MT Jordan RC could ever be. Speaking only for myself, I very rarely ever open wax for precisely the economic reasons mentioned. Furthermore, I feel that the odds are even more stacked against me with all the resealing and reshuffling of boxes.

However, this seemed like a great opportunity to get a fair shake on a pack that I've always wanted to open (and never have). I don't expect to pull a Jordan at all, but I've always wanted to bust one of these packs, so for me the entertainment value was worth ponying up for a pack.

Congrats Bob.... my daughter is going to be 2 this month and believe me you never get over the addiction of pack busting... I went cold turkey for a while, now I must get my fix every so often!

Also there is no bigger rush/thrill when the GEM MINT 10 baby pops out!
