Mr. Thompson, I hope you and your family can find calm and comfort in the belief that your son Michael is in the best of hands, now and forever. Carry on as he would have wanted you to.
I do not know you, but I want to say this to you: I am so very sorry to hear this. I will go to bed tonight thinking about your loss and I will have great difficulty sleeping. May your son rest in eternal peace and contentment. May you and your family find peace knowing that many are with you in this, the most difficult time of your life. May God bless your son and your family.

Words can not describe. My heart goes out to you and yours. May he Rest In Peace and forever be remembered as the hero he is. I will say a prayer for him right now.
I am stunned and saddened to hear of your loss. As a retired soldier myself, I truly believe your son is a hero to your family, to his fellow soldiers, to our nation, and to me.
Day is done Gone the sun From the lakes From the hills From the sky
All is well, safely rest. God is nigh.
Fading light Dims the sight And a star Gems the sky, Gleaning bright
From afar, Drawing nigh, Falls the night.
Thanks and praise, For our days, Neath the sun, Neath the stars, Neath the sky,
Kory, my words cannot express my GREATFUL THANKS to your and your family for Michael's service to his COUNTRY. May GOD almighty receive him with his everlasting LOVE. May you and your family be comforted in your time of LOSS. You will one day be together again, scripture says our lives are but a Vapor in GOD's timetable. So keep him in all your everyday thoughts. 4 and He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away." Mike.
Someday REAL American HERO's will be on our COINS.
Enjoying time at home with the family now is my full time passion.
I certainly can't say anything more than what has been posted. I took this pic a few summers ago of the sun setting on the flag on a ferry my son and I were on.
OMG - there is no way that I can feel your pain and sorrow. What a wonderful American he was to give his life for his country .... I know that is not much consolation to you now, but someday it will be.
My brother lost his son on Valentine's Day of this year. We had a 5 day search for him, and it is very, very hard for him, even now. You will not recover completely, and but you will recover a little with time. It is going to be very rough for you and your family for awhile, and my prayers to you all.
Lean on your family and friends, and reach out to others. After the hubbub fades, read this: continue to reach out to friends and family. They will be there for you. Don't hold things in - it's not good to do that.
Thanks you for you son's service . As he has given his life for our freedom as far as I see it he is a true American Hero and will live on throughthe frredoms he has given us. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family .
Sorry to hear this.May God bless you ,we will pray for you and your family.Your son was a true hero putting his life on the line for are freedom.God bless

He was a handsome strapping kid. It must be heartbreaking and my empathy goes out to you and your family. It takes a true patriot to let their son or daughter serve our country and risk that loved one's death like your family has done.
I hope the healing can begin soon for you and your family.
I heard this on the NBC news tonight and it struck me as personal. Every week we hear of our dedicated young men losing their lives because they VOLUNTEERED but this was humanized more than ever. I now have an even deeper sense of loss for all our sons and fathers who lose their lives in conflict. And I remind myself that what they died for was selfless and from a love for their country.
Every single life is a profound loss but in the name of America and all the GOOD that this country stands for, even at a time whan many feel that we are not worthy. I ask you, where else could you enjoy the opportunity, freedom and quality of life other than the USA? If you want to live as a Socialist maybe you should try Canada, Sweden or France.

To our brave soldiers I raise a beer and say "HOO-AH". You are worthy to be called a true American.
Remember me when I am gone away, gone far away into the silent land; When you can no more hold me by the hand, nor I half turn to go, yet turning stay. Remember me when no more day by day you tell me of the future that you planned; Only remember me; you understand it will be late to counsel then or pray. Yet, if you should forget me for a while and afterwards, remember, do not grieve: For if the darkness and corruption leave a vestige of the thoughts that once I had, better by far you should forget and smile than that you should remember and be sad.
My sincere condolences , this poem helped me thru painful loses I hope it can help you too
I am so sorry for your loss. You, your valiant son and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers. I am thankful for your son's courage, patriotism and service to our country.

I just can't imagine it, although my oldest son is serving as well. I pray for all of them.
Real tears looking at you and he ...
What a fine young man you raised.
My prayers are with you and your family.
