You have no idea how sorry we are for you and to hear of your sons passing. It is always hard to hear of such a loss, but an American Hero always really hits a special part of me hard. May you and your family find comfort in eachother and peace and understanding from God. As a new, first time dad myself..... I can't even imagine...
I hope this is not taken the wrong way but it is in my signature line I use at work, with the US NAVY, and I think it is a very powerfull statement. Everyone can have a different interpretation, but I hope you can find meaning in it.

My condolences to you and your family for the loss of your son. Nothing could be worse for a parent than the loss of a child. Your son's service and the ultimate price he paid make evidence his nobility and honor. The USA owes a debt to your son and your family that can not be repaid. God bless him and your family.
I am so sorry to hear this news. I saw your post yesterday with "your two youngest boys" Link I was shocked and saddened by your loss, less than 24 hours later. My prayers are with you and your family.
Heartfelt condolences go out to you and yours... anyone who serves our country in the armed forces is a hero. Your son made the ultimate sacrifice so that we may live safer, keeping the bad guys over there instead of over here. I, for one, am very grateful for the decisions your son made to serve... I am truly sorry that he won't be returning with his comrades. Take care...
My sincerest condolences to you and your family. Hearing news like this even tho we don't know each other personally is extremely distressing, we give so many of our heroes to protect this country and the freedoms we all enjoy.

My heartfelt condolences to you and your family, what an abosolutely horrific tragedy. I can't even begin to imagine what you must be going through. I read this entire thread and I have never been one to express my thoughts well on paper. Coxe, Jay Brahin and LordM expressed some the of thoughts I had very eloquently.
Our families thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
There is not much that can make up for your loss and our countries loss. I also have a son in Iraq. My heart and prayers are with you and your family. Your loss here, is heavens gain. God Less you and your family.
I am sorry to hear you lost your youngest son. Whenever I read your post, it brought tears to my eyes. In fact, as I type this, I have tears running down my face. As Ray said, you have lost a son and I have lost a brother in arms. You have my condolences and prayers. Michael Dixon Sergeant First Class (Retired) United States Army 1983-2003

TextText Here ae the stories. I leaned more here than what the Army has told me.... I want to thank everybody for their response to this. I just consider this place like a second family as long as I have been here. I remember when you all shared my grief on the death of my beloved sister several years ago. I just needed that again, and I thank you all for it. From the bottom of my heart....Kory Thompson

I echo the sentiments of Ray Paseo and Michael Dixon, as I too have lost a brother. I remember seeing your post just the other day of your "two boys", and thinking of what a strong, good looking son you have, and that the military's job was in good hands with him there.
I offer my wishes for peace and strength in this most difficult time for you and your family. You and they are definitely not alone in your love and respect for Michael. He will never be forgotten by any of us.

God Bless and take care of your family.
I'm sure his death is a loss for our country as well. He looks to have been a formidable soldier and son.

Your son served most admirably for you, your family, and his country.
I am going to take a moment of silence for your son, as this is the least I can do.

A Nation's Strength
What makes a nation's pillars high
And it's foundations strong?
What makes it mighty to defy
The foes that round it throng?
It is not gold. Its kingdoms grand
Go down in battle shock;
It's shafts are laid on sinking sand
Not on abiding rock.
Is it the sword? Ask the red dust
Of empires passes away;
The blood has turned their stones to rust.
Their glory to decay.
And is it pride? Ah, that bright crown
Has seemed to nations sweet;
But God has struck its luster down
In ashes at his feet.
Not gold but only men can make
A people great and strong;
Men who for truth and honor's sake
Stand fast and suffer long.
Brave men who work while others sleep,
Who dare while others fly...
They build a nation's pillars deep
And lift them to the sky.
