    Reese,

Nice pickups... That's not a bad Berry rc for $10!!! How many signed HOF rc's do you now have? I have ~ 65.

48 isn't bad at all. I have another 10 outstanding - so I should be around 80 by the end of summer.

Are you going to get anyone signed at any of the upcoming shows?

That is strange! I wonder how many I have that you need and vice versa. Probably 7 to 10 going both ways...

I just checked Bud's Sports Cards website and the signing was yesterday....I thought it was last week! By the way, Dwight is signing at the Chantilly show in case anyone missed the private signing yesterday.

Has anyone else seen the auto guest list at the Chantilly show? The link is below.

I received the Stephenson rc today from the private signing. By the way, Sonny Jurgensen is signing at the National! He only signs once or twice a year...so you may want to think of getting a rc signed.

New to this thread - I'm interested in sending some TTM requests (more modern versus the all HOF route, but for baseball, basketball and football most likely), but wondering where you get mosts of the addresses, and identify those individuals who request/require a donation as well (and the subsequent amount)? Any point in the right direction for this newb would be appreciated - thanks!

Welcome! Yep Mike is right about Sportscollectors.net. It's a $15 per year and will give you addresses, success rates, and the fee amount if that is something the player requires.

Top notch - think I may make a big project to get my favorite athletes from the late 80's/early 90's. Have a good start on basketball I personally collected, but this opens up new avenues I never thought of.

From now on, when you post a new rc can you guys post how many total HOF rc's you now have? I just added the Stephenson and a 1951 Bowman Lou Creekmur (which I don't have in hand yet) which brings me to 67! I should add a few more at the National and hopefully my outstanding TTM successes will start to roll in.

A couple new ones to show off. The Stephenson was from the private signing in FL. I was looking through my NFL HOF Set and found this Bruce Smith. I completely forgot I had it so it was a nice little surprise today. Oh and the best part it only cost me $12 when I bought and was already PSA/DNA certified!

Total signed RC's to date: 67

I must have picked up the Smith before he was inducted. It is definitely nice to have considering he is charging $100 at the National this summer.

Has anyone sent Jim Taylor a TTM? Would you all rather have a 59 Topps Error or 60 Topps signed for your set?

    Reese,

I sent a 59 Topps card and $50 to Jim Taylor back in early April but haven't received it back yet. I'm starting to get nervous because he typically responds within a month and a half and I'm been waiting over 2 1/2 months. Personally, I'd rather have a 59 Topps signed...however I can see why someone would want a 60 Topps signed...as it would be his first card with his picture actually on it.

Thanks Reese. I had Page sign a 1970, 1976, 1978 and 1980. All look as good...

Let me know what you decide on the Taylor. I wonder if he'll sign a 59 Topps considering it's not his picture on the card (and some players are weird about that).

Persistence pays off! After mailing this over and over and over and over again, I finally got this back in about a week. I'm starting to think he tracks the return address and after a certain number finally opens the item and signs the card. It appears that all of the successes are after numerous attempts.

I have 4 new additions, only one of which is a HOF rc:

First off, Terry Bradshaw signed 1971 and 1984 Topps cards for me:

    image

Next up, Robert Kraft (Patriots owner) finally signed a card for me (for my future HOF auto'd card set):

    image

Next up, Tom Brady signed card (for my future HOF auto'd card set):

    image

Finally, Herschel Walker signed his Topps USFL rc for me (for my Heisman rc auto'd card set):

For some reason, Monk thinks that the increase in the price of his signed rc was more than he would be paid to sign it (even though he charges b/t $90 and $100 per auto).

Swann's prices are crazy, however what's even crazier is that he often won't sign goal line cards cards and/or his Topps cards. At a private signing back in Dec, he wouldn't sign his GLAC and at the National, he will sign his GLAC but not trading cards. What a douchebag (sp?)....for $200, he should sign my asscheek if I so desired....

    Hey Greg,

The Mackey was from KHW for $35 and the Motley was from Ron Gordon for $150. Probably a little pricey, but I couldn't turn it down when Ron told me about it!

BTW, I got a steal tonight on a great 48 Bowman autographed RC! I should have it in hand soon!

Sadly, PSA/DNA has slabbed a significant number of ghost signed signatures, most specifically Joe Montana and Terry Bradshaw. Another classic example is the authenticated secretarial Sid Luckman autos while PSA/DNA rejects most of the signatures that Luckman actually signed during the late 1980's until his passing.

Bradshaw publicly stated a few years ago on the NFL pregame show that he hasn't signed any fan mail since he retired.
