Wow! I wish I would have seen that. I need him for this and my 55 set. Would you mind posting a scan when you have a chance? >>

Will do... You'll have to wait until I get back and get everything unpacked (probably later Monday night).

If you really need it, I'd consider moving it, but it was a bit pricey (and has a crease that does not impact the signature). I like it and thought is was a reasonable value considering how tough this specific HOF RC is to find signed. Not sure if I got a nice deal or if I overpaid, but I'm content with it. I think I'll put it next to the George Allen signed '73T NFC Champ card... image >>

Sounds good, I'll pm you in a couple days and hopefully we can work something out. How many days are you going to the show?

    Hey Greg,

This was actually everything I bought. I was on a roll Friday. I picked up everything I posted and figured my luck would continue into Saturday. Well I didn't find a single thing on Saturday, but got the Jurgensen and Brown cards signed. I think the "J" looks a little shakey on the Jurgensen. It will work, but I think I should have had him sign with an ink pen. Oh well.....

    John,

The dealer was asking $100 each for the Tittle RCs. I picked the nicest one he had and we agreed on $80. Sorrry I don't know who he was otherwise I'd give you his email. I think the Brown, Hornung, and Tittle turned out fantastic! I couldn't be happier with those!

    Reese,

You are REALLY lucky that you found the Tittle rookie cards. It's funny how you looked for months for the Tittle rc to no avail and then found one soon after arriving at the show.

$80 wasn't a bad price at all and the auto looks great. Congrats.

The funny part was that it was probably the 3rd or 4th table I looked at. I was lucky the seller wasn't asking a fortune for it as well. Must have been my lucky day!

You got very lucky. On 3 or 4 occasions I've gone to a show where I had an autograph ticket but didn't have the card that I wanted to get signed - and every time I had my money refunded because I was unable to find what I was looking for.

Here is my newest pickup... My totals thus far are:

    70 signed
16 being signed at shows (should have back in hand soon)
    11 outstanding TTMs

At the PA shown in Oct, I should be adding Larry Wilson and Don Maynard...so I should be near 100 assuming the TTMs are eventually returned signed. We'll see. Please PM me if anyone has a raw Bob Lilly in VGEX to EX condition....

There is a great show at the end of August and they accept mail in orders:

    Show link

There is a pretty good lineup including HOFer Jimmie Johnson (rare public signing), Daryle Lamonica, Dwight Clark, Ken Stabler, and Russ Francis (among others).

Not sure on the deadline...probably 2 to 3 days before the signing?? The owner was nice - I talked to him on the phone and he doesn't charge extra for mail in orders. Jimmie Johnson's auto is very cool - I can't wait to get his rc signed. I'm also going to get a 69 Topps card signed...for my set. Don't pass up on this signing....he doesn't sign very often!

    Scott,

    PM sent.

    Reese,

Here are my oustanding TTMs for rc's (I have other TTMs outstanding to HOFers for non-rookie cards):

    Joe Greene 8/7
    Frank Gifford 8/31
    Ted Hendricks 7/23
    Gale Sayers 5/30
    Bob Griese 5/20
    Jim Taylor 4/1
    Randall McDaniel 3/23
    Lee Roy Selmon 3/23
    Dan Dierdorf 2/10
    Ollie Matson 2/6
    Dan Hampton 2/2

I think I also have a Warren Moon rc outstanding....but am not 100% positive. I just received my orders from SCH and Jeff Whitmore...and will post scans later tonight.

Join the club on Matson. His personal assistant must've made out like a bandit as Ollie is no longer signing and she kept the cash and the cards from many of us before they said Matson's health would no longer allow him to sign.

Nice haul Greg. The J. Brown, B. Brown and E. Dickerson are particularly sharp. Ironically I went to a show today where Gene Michael (former Yankee player and GM) was signing for free with paid admission. Now usually I don't take advantage of this freebie when I go to a show. I get so tied up in looking for cards I forget to get in lineimage
Plus I hate waiting in lines...for anythingimage

Well, he was just finished signing when I happened to walk by with my son. I had the 2 free coupons in my pocket, bought 2 balls, and went up to get my autos. He seemed a bit tired and haggard. (he was signing for close to 2 hours), but signed the 2 baseballs along with his nickname "Stick". A Catholic school nun would have been proud. Clear, crisp and legible on the sweet spot and perfectly centered.
That's my autograph story for the day.image

Not entirely sure as I popped them into deals when I bought them so the sting wouldn't be so bad, but I overpaid in the $50-60 range. The one on the left was the first one I bought, but then I picked up the second the next day as it was obviously nicer.

They are a pain in the neck to come across, even at major shows. And when you do find some, they're usually way over priced. It's not much better on eBay.

    Mike,

Yep - I sent him $50 cash which is actually less than I sent him 2 years ago to sign a GLA ($75...which is what he typically charges). Jim Taylor is notorious for not wanting to sign autographs (he is one of the tougher living HOFer to find anything signed of) and rarely signs at public events (and when he does, chages $100++).

I sent him a new sharpie along w/ the card and cash - I'm glad that he used it...

I sent a beat up 1952 Bowman Small and $20 to Lambchop Productions (where I have sent at least 5 other cards over the past year) and today I get back a signed Topps Flashback card (2001 Topps Heritage) signed w/ a sh*tty marker? Has anyone else had problems with cards being swiped from someone at Lambchop Productions? I'm pretty p*ssed because it took me FOREVER to find a low priced rookie card.

    Thanks

    Did you send to:

    300 Main Street, Suite 802
    Stamford, CT 06901

    ?

StarTiger doesn't have any other similar stories. Most got their stuff signed properly. How cheap did you come upon a 52 Bowman Sm RC?
