I didn't specify the smaller holder - but I'm glad they used it. I agree w/ you about the larger holders where the card slides around inside. It looks terrible and puts the card at risk of being damaged.

This came in the mail today. It's a pop 9 in a red flip, with 5 graded authentic. I'll make the crossover on my next sub.

Picked up an Ollie Matson for my 1952 Bowman Small set. Pretty sure this is from Huffyface's former registry set. Also got a Tobin Rote, Jerome Smith, Herman Clark, and Volney Quinlan for that same set.

Hey everyone...I wanted to share a handful of new additions over the past month.

The Exhibits below now bring me to 27/59

The 1948 Leaf cards bring me to 45/98

A handful of signed HOFers from my favorite dealer:

Just imagine if this WASN'T a reprint...(I can only dream...):

Finally, even though this is his second year card (1949 Leaf), you don't see very many Bob Waterfield vintage signed cards:

That's all for tonight. Hopefully everyone is well.

Sorry - I take that back, it hasn't been added yet...thought that it was. I know that PSA submitted a poll...so I'll check w/ them on the results.

    Thanks,

Very cool. Do you like the silver sharpie on the card?

I think it looks better than a blue or black sharpie signed in that spot. I've seen the autos placed higher, and I prefer it lower.

You made two nice additions to your set...love the Bradshaw and Jurgensen. Did you get anything else signed at the show?

    Hey guys,
There's been a lot of activity on the Registry lately. BBCE finally listing Huggyface's former cards on eBay is leading to some really impressive sales.

With the HOF contributor announcement today, I'm wondering what everyone is thinking as far as rookie card choices for Tagliabue, Jerry Jones, and DeBartolo. My choices would be as follows:

Paul Tagliabue 1990 Pro Set Commemorative Collectible #2 (1990 Pro Set #785 - the Berlin Wall card - would be the other choice, but CC #2 is the card in the Future HOF set)

Jerry Jones 1995 Pacific Crown Royale #12 (He appears on a couple of Jimmy Johnson's 1993 Pro Line Profiles cards, but the backs of those clearly designate them as Jimmy Johnson cards. I think the Crown Royale is the first card solely devoted to Jones.)

Ed DeBartolo Jr. 2016 Panini HOF Class of 2016 #HOF3 (This is the card that was just released. Again, he appears on 1991 Pro Set #26, but that card doesn't even have his name on the front or back. The Panini is the first card solely devoted to him.)

Anyway, what is everyone else thinking?

Man, that Swann is so tough. Nice find! Somehow I don't think he'll ever start signing them again so they should stay rare. Anyone with any deceased doubles up for sale under the radar? LMK

Sorry for not responding sooner. I think the Tagliabue 1990 Pro Set #785 should be his rc. The CC was a subset which I don't think should trump a regular issue card - especially if the values are the same.

I agree about Jerry Jones - 1995 Pacific Crown Royale.

As for Ed DeBartolo - I'm on the fence on whether the 1991 Pro Set card should be his rc. I would lean towards his 2016 Panini HOF class card - just because the Pro Set card doesn't prominently feature him.

    Thoughts?

Welp, look at this sad submission:

N9 - Auto Grade: No Grade - 1952 Bowman Small 7 Chuck Hunsinger Card
N4 - Auto Grade: Questionable Authenticity - 1952 Bowman Small 42 Norm Standlee Card
Item Grade: GOOD 2 Auto Grade: Authentic - 1952 Bowman Small 56 Tobin Rote PSA/DNA Certified Card
N9 - Auto Grade: No Grade - 1952 Bowman Small 76 Herman Clark Card
N4 - Auto Grade: Questionable Authenticity - 1952 Bowman Small 83 Joe Perry Card
N9 - Auto Grade: No Grade - 1952 Bowman Small 109 Volney Quinlan Card

What do you do with all the N9s? Does that mean it is just a rare auto they haven't seen?

eBay seller already replaced the Perry with one in a blue flip.

While this is his second year card, still a tough one to come by as he passed away in 1973.

Edit to add cool story about his final game at ND:

I just listed a 1978 John Stallworth signed rookie and immediately got an offer to end it for $100. I have no idea what it is worth. Should I let the auction run or take the $100?

I'm actually watching that card. Personally, I would let it run. Stallworth doesn't generally sign TTM and doesn't do many paid signings. He is however scheduled to be at CSA in October. His signing fee at CSA is $130 for flats/minis.
