<< <i>Yeah, Wake didn't have it. This team is almost always in the game though. Another nice comeback falls just a little short. >>
That's what amazes me about this club. They are "always in the game". They always take professional at bats, (perhaps excluding Lugo), and fight no matter what the score. I really like this club. They never seem to give the other team an easy win.
Ed, I dont think he meant that LITTERALY! But you know what? The Bottom Line Timlin is awful right here right now. Sure he has been with us and has money rings ect.. but its no different than the Flak that Drew and Lugo have received- or anyother ballplayer who is either overpaid or simply just sucks. I want Timlin GONE, I wish him well but I dont want him on the mound for us.
I hope you felt better after all that. I thought it was kinda dumb of you to ask how many rings I have or my bank account. I'm not the guy making millions and blowing games. So what if Timlin has 50 rings and 50 million a year, what is your point??? He isn't pitching worth a rip lately. How does his past mean anything to his gross ineptness NOW? He is toast and needs to leave the team, and the sooner the better. Who threw the ball to Monroe for the 9th run? TIMLIN
As for throwing him under the bus, a bit shallow of you to take that literally. AND YES, Timlin is a LOSER!!! What he has done in the past means NADA, ZIP, ZERO. Lugo and Drew can go as well. These guys are paid MIND-NUMBING salaries for 6 months of playing baseball, the fans deserve performance, not choking again and again.
BTW, I am VERY comfotably retired with more than ample discretionary money to do almost as I please, and free as a bird. I also fly free on Delta anywhere in the world they go...is that cool enough for you?
I have also seen Ted Williams and every player in the 55T set play. Does that give you an idea of how long I've been a Red Sox fan?
Rude? Get a life. Stick your apology, you meant what you wrote, otherwise you wouldn't have written it.
And yes, I will continue to call for Timlin's head, whether you like it or not, whether you think it's rude or not. Do yourself a favor after you read this...don't read anymore of my posts if they upset you so much.

I think he meant to say Jon Lester? I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
I think the simple answer is that we're not scoring enough freakin' runs. The other answer is we're allowing too many freakin' runs. My gut response though: we just plain suck right now.

Hey Sonny, fair enough, I put my foot in my mouth-- for now. Well see how this AL East thing shapes up by the end of the season.
<< <i>Did anyone see Manny? catch an impossible fly ball, hi five a fan, then throw to first for a double play! >>
That was awesome- and hilarious after too- Manny was giving Millar a little ribbing from the bench and Millar is a good sport and a good guy but you know he was FREAKIN' STEAMED!!! I pointed out to my buddy the size of the chew he put in after that, he needed one! He was Rippin!!!
Actually I think I needed a day off. I dont think I could take another day of this stupid horsecrap, again hopefully tomorow they can get back to putting me in a good mood.
Tough to watch the Red Sox lose those games with a 3-0 lead. I've been flipping between the Yankee's and Red Sox games...boy, those Yankee's just can't score runs. Gotta say, Tampa Bay is on fire, with Kazmir back, they could be hard to beat the way they're playing.
Anyone know if Gagne played long enough last year to get a WS ring? Please tell me he didn't get one.
Well, at least I can't rant about Timlin...BUT, I'll bet he swallowed hard when he got the news about Tavarez.
Did you happen to Google any MLB rules on the WS ring thing? I vaguely recall the Nomar WS issue, and I'm thinking it was about his share of the gold. I'm not that well veresed on what Nomar got or could have gotten had he stayed the entire season. Honestly, I find it unimaginable that Gagne would earn such an accolade for his "stay". Never got his style, though he was hot in LA at one time.
I find it odd of the possibility of player x being traded to team a, then is traded again in two days to team b. So, for a nano-second, player x is thus "on the roster" of team a, who happen to go on to win the WS. While in fact player x was less than a ghost on the team...doing nada for a coupla days entitles him to a ring...gotta be a rule no?
BTW, you need to get your shoulder to the wheel on the Registry...spend some money and smoke right on in there with a 39 Play Ball PSA 8 Williams. Been waiting for you to make a move and recover your spot. GL stepping up.
Nice win against the Brew Crew! Papi with the big hit and Papelbon nailing it down- good to see us get a win after a few days rest, hopefully we can build on this and regain first place!!!!!!
Its strange because through his first 9? opportunities he was 100% this latest stretch of giving up at least one hit and an earned run here and there is not good- I think he will work it out though. I hope.

Ted you should be a Poet!
Q. What did the predestinationist say after he fell down the stairs?
A. "Whew, I'm glad I got that over with."
That's how I feel about the Minnesota series. Let's bring the smack down on Baltimore and put this behind us.

Im with ya on that!!!!
let score some freakin runs-es
Lifetime fielding percentage Manny .978
Ted Williams was JUST .974
ergo Manny is a better fielder than Williams
Yaz was .988 but never hit 500 HR? says 452

Getting dangerously close to being in the bottom 20% of page 1.
Since there isn't a game today, let's hope that whatever is ailing the team will be cured by the day off.

true, true
Edited to add: Or maybe I'm just thinking of a share of the playoff money?
