This is fantastic. After the Japan trip I would have been satisfied a game or two over .500 for the month. Loving the kids stepping up. 6 regulars are hitting over .300. They need to trade Lugo, eat half his contract and let Lowrie play when Lowell comes back.

Despite serving one up, it does look like Hansen is making progress. His slider is better, he has a rhythm (fast), and he has filled out a bit (I assume some is muscle and some is a good signing bonus being eaten). Consistent speed of high 90s on the fastball too. Maybe another year in AAA with a September call-up and he could be ready for limited (one inning per game, righties only please) action
We should be more vigilant after these early morning games . . . too many hours pass afterwards and the thread eventually slips down in the meantime.
I predict a decent game from Wakefield today . . . I always like his chances more when he's in a domed stadium. All the same, let's score some freakin' runs in support of him.

WOW! Tonight I went out with my buddies and got caught up in the bar scene and payed more attention to the women than the game so I missed out on the highlights- thanfully! I freakin' catch a little of the post game highlights and actually see Papi belly flopping into first base.... First thought-OMG is he OK? Second thought-there is zero chance we won this game if they are showing that ugliness!
YUCK is all I got to say. Well Im working a double tomorow so maybe my absence will do the Sox good! Remember last Summer I tried that a few times and it worked? Well Im not too happy with the BS of the last few games so Im putting my absence into play for tomorow in hopes it will do the Sox/you guys some good!

Tonight is 'Cowbell Night' at the Trop. The first 10,000 fans is Rays gear get a cowbell. Talk about an obnoxious promotion! They don't understand how much money/fans the Sox bring when they come to town. Oh well it will only be a week and I will be at Fenway. I will take a bunch of pictures and should have a real good story to tell.
