What if it’s 11 bears vs 11 tigers?

I would say Eagle is top dog (so to speak). The Eagle could watch the various beastly carnivores take each other out with the best seat in the house either perched or flying from above. And with incredible eyesight it would be like all the blood spilling action was happening ten feet away.
And it would never have to join the fight. 🦅

No Daniel Jones comments after he was let go? I'll start - I don't think he is a horrible QB; he is inconsistent and should be a backup at best.

Here is a strange thing (as of 11/24/2024). The most QBs that a college team has on current NFL rosters is 3; there are 6 college teams that have 3 and they are listed below . Which one sticks out?

    Alabama
    North Carolina
    North Dakota State
    Oklahoma
    Oregon
    Tennessee

I pointed it out I can't remember which thread, he was on a horrible team but his deficiency's like horrendous inconsistencies on routine pass plays is a big problem, the Giants never should have fell for it and paid him all that money, they pay him and get rid of Barkley which didn't help matters.

He might not get picked up because of his salary, nobody wants to pay that much for a back up

What I thought was odd about the Daniel Jones situation was they dropped him from starter to 4th QB on the depth chart.
I guess that’s why he was so proactive in having the Giants release him.

How hilarious would it be if the Cowboys signed Daniel Jones and had him start and beat the Giants next week?

Well the OL just holds every single play and they get flagged for it, honestly I'd literally just release every one of them after the game and grab practice squad players who you can possibly teach basic rules too

NDSU is the Saban era Alabama of the FCS. Theyve won 11 of the last 13 national titles. Lance is really the only significant one though. One of them is like a back up for the Chargers and I completely forgot Wentz was still in the league

4th quarter of Washington/Dallas game most entertaining quarter of football all year. I needed Washington, but still was a great quarter.

Washington really did everything possible to lose that game. Missing 2 extra points and two kickoff run back for a TD is certainly something

My preseason prediction was the Viking would lose in Chicago and they sure tried to.

Williams looks awesome on some plays and then misses open receivers by a mile on others. He sure is mobile though.

Concerned about the two Vikings who left the game with injuries; our left tackle and the leading tackler on defense.

Good to see Darnold no longer trying to force the ball to Jefferson. Addison and Hockinson are very good options.

By the way, I have named the Viking receiving corps "My Three Sons".

You heard it here first! ;-)

occasionally i'll hear/read one that leaves me incredulous

and then there's this one. when i read this i heard a bang and my brain started seeping from my ears

the Cowgirls and Commodes scored 38 points in the final 5:16 of yesterday's game

Unfortunately there are some seriously boring games Thursday.
    Bears
    Lions -10.5
This could and will get ugly soon and often.
Detroit playing a single prime time game with the entire country watching? Could be 21-0 after the first quarter.

    NY Giants
    Cowboys -3.5
I don’t see anyone rushing to finish thanksgiving dinner to get in front of the tube to look at another turkey. Unless they want an uninterrupted nap with a full belly. Definitely a snoozer with a battle of backups.

    Miami
    Green Bay-3.5
20 degrees in GB and Miami freezes on the sideline and on the field. Maybe they can break the streak of 689 loses in under 40 degree weather. I’ll be asleep by 8:30 and so will Miami

this is not a homer post because that's not how i roll. would just like to point out that the Bears have a different aura surrounding them after canning their worthless OC two weeks ago. Caleb has been playing free since then, and as a result he's been playing better. i know close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades, but they could have -- and one could argue should have -- beat both the Vikings and Packers the past two weeks.........two playoff teams that are considered far better than they are.

so would i be surprised if the Bears hang or even win? i personally wouldn't

They don’t have the offensive fire power to stay with Detroit. Their OL is terrible and Williams no matter the progress will be harassed all day. Eventually the defense will tire from being on the field all day and break down. 41-13 seems reasonable

Smart move. Not only if Darnold gets hurt this year, but if Sam gets huge contract offers after this year, we could go with Jones.

JJ McCarthy might be good, great or a bust. I don't like gambling on untested rookies.

I'm guessing that if Sam gets hurt then Jones wouldn't have the same type of impact as Darnold has had to date in Minny, at least not right away. That being said, between a change of scenery out of NY and spending time in Kevin O'Connell's system maybe Jones can eventually redeem his career there. There's also a level of pressure that he had to deal with in New York that won't be an issue in Minnesota.

The Lions are trying hard to lose a game they should be winning. A dumb unsportsmanlike penalty when a Detroit player tossed the ball to a Chicago player for no reason.

Detroit survives on the Bears’ inability to manage the clock.

I've told people the past month or so that Caleb is that dude. he showed it in the 2nd half, lighting up the Lions for 3 TDs.

I've also told people that we have arguably the worst coaching staff in the NFL. we fired the OC and the offense has looked liberated ever since, which is why I said days ago that we could hang or even win that game today. but the problem is that the idiot head coach was still there. and Eberflus pulled one for the ages today.

:33 seconds left with a timeout in his hip pocket and he basically lets the clock run out. never seen anything like that before in my life. a head coach who froze and didnt know what to do. the man should have been fired before he left the field.

Detroit could easily be 10-0. The game they lost to Tampa was lost by clock mismanagement. The Lions had an easy field goal at the end of the first half. The coach blew it and left those 3 points on the field. At the end of the game, the Lions were down by 4 and had to get a touchdown. With those lost 3 points, the Lions would have only needed a last second field goal.

Lions tried extremely hard to be the old Lions on Thanksgiving. Thankfully for them the Bears also tried harder to screw this up. Don’t care about the outcome. The Lions didn’t look like an 11-1 team in the second half and a good team would have beat them. C- in a victory over a 4 win team. Not impressed

After watching the clock dissolve into nothingness on the Bears with one timeout left my first thought was I would love to see the coaches post game comments. Anyone know what he said? I do think Caleb Williams should know better than to stand there for 5-7 seconds when everyone is set and in place before the ball is snapped. Yes he’s a rookie but he’s been a qb and team leader for a long time.
But its mainly on Eberflus he should have called the timeout as soon as Caleb got sacked.
