The Rams run into Buffalo which is a problem but Buffalo has the division locked up, they won't lay down but they might take a game off this week after winning the division.
Then they have the 49'ers who are a dumpster fire and could shut Purdy down to save his shoulder, then the Jets Cards and Seahawks all are winnable games.
I'm not saying they are a shoo in by any stretch but they don't have the roughest road to get there

That Seahawks game could be huge. It would be cool if the winner won the division. Yes the Rams just have to step up and play some really good football down the stretch. They just haven’t shown the ability to win games consistently but certainly that could change these last few games.

Yes, I mentioned that in another post.
For 10 straight seasons (1968-77) the Vikings went 18-2 against the Lions including a streak of 13 wins in a row.
We failed to win the big game during that time. 😞
It's a shame that they couldn't pull one off in the 70's , they were a solid team
Never had that stud running back.
I'll match the defense up against any other team from 1969-1975. They were top 3 in points allowed every year but 1972, best in points given up from 1969-1971.

I can remember wanting Buffalo to beat Dallas so badly in both the 92 and 93 super bowls. one of them, kelly went down around halftime and I think it was Frank Ritch that finished the rest of the game.

Chick Foreman was a great running back, thought he had multiple thousand yard seasons in the mid 70's
As a Denver fan I can relate to what Bills and Vikings fans are experiencing.
Denver was 0-4 in Super Bowl games, losing to Dallas, the New York Giants, Washington and San Francisco. Each game was never close. It was terrible to experience as a Denver fan.
When Denver finally won the 1998 Super Bowl, defeating Green Bay the feeling was one of joy and relief.
Fans of Buffalo and Minnesota are still waiting to win a Super Bowl after going 0-4. Their wait is much longer than my wait for a Denver win. It will happen and when it does fans of these teams will experience joy and relief at a level they will marvel at.

He was very good, but more of a finesse runner. Very good pass catcher.
His first year was 1973, so a little late for the top Vikings defensive teams.
In 1975 & 1976 he had over 1700 yards from scrimmage each year. He got hurt (foot injury, I think) and had a short career.

He is getting shoulder surgery which probably wouldn't have happened until after the season had he not gotten the concussion so it's probably a smart decision to IR him, he will be out for 4 games so he probably won't play week 18 so I'd say he is done for the season.
Meanwhile the Jags will most likely get a top 3 or 4 pick or better draft pick because they probably won't win another game so it's a smart football decision overall.

Allen/Mahomes feels like the Brady/Manning rivalry, especially where Brady won the first few playoff games. I think this is the year Allen has to get over the hump against Mahomes/Chiefs in the playoffs.
The Chiefs are very vulnerable this year and the Bills definitely had addition by subtraction getting rid of Diggs.
That said, I am still rooting for Mahomes. I want him to challenge Brady's legacy and a three-peat would definitely start changing the conversation. It seems highly unlikely Mahomes will have Brady's longevity, so I think he needs to accomplish more during his peak to offset how dominant Brady was for so long.

as a fan of a team that regularly hires brain-dead individuals who often coach not to lose and royally f everything up, i find Campbell very refreshing. if the dude goes down in flames, it's gonna happen as he's flooring it. there's no doubting how much confidence he has in his players, and i'm sure every one of those Lions would run through a brick wall for him. and perhaps that's why they execute so well out on the field. there are never any questions with him -- he believes in you, you know your job, go do it. it's gotta be hella fun playing for him.
now juxtapose that with my team. instead of extending our middle finger to conventional wisdom by going for it on 4th all the time, punching the opposition in the mouth and winning games, when the Bears drive down the field to do the same we just let the clock run out with a TO in our hip pocket and lose. when i think about that i wanna laugh and cry simultaneously.
so consider about what it's like to be a Chi fan and then watch a game like last night. in a few weeks i'm gonna shake every present first and say out loud before i open it, "i sure hope a Dan Campbell is in here"

Agree with all that you said but the only caveat is sometimes you have to do what's best for the team in a situation.
Last night wasn't one of those situations, he put the game on his players back and they came through for him and it's a great look but not a great look had Goff fell on his face ( Or any of the million other things that could have gone wrong ). and he didn't get that handoff done correctly which resulted in a Green Bay win they would have survived just fine.
Packers had some trouble in that game getting their defense set - leading to 2 TDs. Their secondary played OK considering they have a few important pieces on the shelf. I was surprised it wasn't chunk after chunk through the air, but I think that game says more about Detroit than GB there. Getting beat, how they did, against a team which beat them a month ago by 10 points which could have been by 100 considering how that game actually looked didn't feel like that big of a loss considering the situation in the North.
I also think the 4th and 1 or so from their own 31 earlier that happened to only lead to 3 pts for GB was more shocking to me than the play at the end there. The end of the game - going for the win... love it. Earlier in the quarter... in your own end... going for the loss there... weird move - and that toss play...
