The previous Chargers coach made terrible game management decisions. Can’t even remember his name now but that’s one reason he got fired. Wish he would have coached them for a long time because they never would have been a threat. Now they have a real coach.

Campbell's decision to go for it at the end was 100% the right call. If they kick, GB has a bunch of time against an exhausted 3rd string defense to win in regulation. Or OT. Or you take your chance that the best offense in the NFL can get 2 yards. Right call.

The wrong call was the one earlier in their own end. And that was exacerbated by a terrible play call.

One was the right call, one was the type of decision that kept Detroit out of the Super Bowl a year ago. And, yes, he got a lot of grief from Detroit fans last year because of it. He moved his family in part because of the reaction. For the most part, though, fans believe in MCDC and the players absolutely do.

so, Thomas Brown was named interim and is auditioning for the permanent role

is down 24-0 with 4 yards of offense at halftime good? do you think i'll get the job?

you'll never be able to outrun a bad diet

    Rams now 31-14

Perk- good call on the gambling thread on the rams having a good chance to beat the bills today. I haven’t seen the bills defense make one third down stop all game. They look terrible.

  • DarinDarin Posts: 7,209 ✭✭✭✭✭

And Josh Allen is doing everything he can but even he can’t play defense. 😂
The punt the rams blocked for a TD also can’t happen if you’re the bills.

The Chiefs just got a big gift from the LA Rams. The blocked punt was the turning point.

I need Herbert to hit 175 yards passing and Pacheco to hit 40 yards rushing, that's literally the only thing I'm interested with this Chargers game

And no I'm not even watching it.

I cannot stand the NFL, I'm sour grapes ing it because I lost betting today but I deep down just hate it

These guys play one way one week then crap all over themselves the next week and of course I'm all in and hate myself for it lol

Herbert was drilled and had to leave the game. he came back in and is trying to give it a go but they look awful. the good news is you have 2 more quarters left and the game script is in your favor now.

Botched play calling by the bills at the end cost them a timeout that they couldn’t afford to use.
Josh Allen is the best QB in football right now. I wouldn’t have said that 2 years ago but I’ve witnessed some incredible playmaking that nobody else can do this year.
Just give Josh the MVP right now, he almost won that game despite having to beat the Rams, his own defense and his teams inept coaching. His receivers were great.
Saquon is having a great year but Josh is MVP no question.

I've said this before and I'll say it again that McDermott is holding them back, this goes back to that 13 second game a few years ago when McDermott didn't squib that kick and let your Chiefs two throw it down the middle of the field for that FG, not taking anything away from the Chiefs in that game but McDermott is not a great coach

I'm not at that point yet, I think I like everything involved with NFL like getting together with my buddies and even though betting has ruined the game for the most part it's still fun after you get over the frustrating part of that more so than the game itself.

My problem is the wild inconsistencies and crazy nonsensical stuff that happens, it's literally easier to figure out science than what's going to happen in an NFL game lol

The penalties, poor play and bad decisions just make it more nonsensical.

Dropped balls, idiotic late hits, QB's tripping after the snap, complete missed throws to wide open receivers, take your pick it's all right there nearly every game

Darnold sometimes holds the ball too long, but he can also escape the rush and make a play MUCH better than Kirk.

Not sure if Cousins is hurt, but he sure didn't look like Kirk Cousins yesterday. Never seen him so inaccurate.

I wonder if he regrets signing with Atlanta. I wouldn't be surprised if he gets benched.

You may end up not watching college FB. They are getting paid just like the pros and a lot of money gets bet on them too.

Sorry you're not having fun. Sports in general don't compare with the "good old days" it's all about the money now.

@perkdog that was a funny interaction. I think Favre didn't quite know how to handle it as Gastineau's cognitive problems have been pretty well publicized. It would definitely be a bad look if he had verbally chastised Mark.

If that wasn't so sad it'd be funny. Sometimes I wonder what the heck is going on with the Browns, they can't get any kind of a break. They will soon run out of bodies and I think someone needs to take a serious look at their conditioning program or pay off the devil. >:)

Jonathon Taylor did one of those things where he was running into the end zone and let go of the ball before he got there. 😂😂
It doesn’t look meaningful because the broncos won 31-13 but at the time it would have given the colts a 20-7 lead. The game completely turned around after that.

After today we can finally put to bed that Russell Wilson and the Steelers are elite and the talking heads saying no one wants to face them in the playoffs. Buffalo, Kansas City or Baltimore welcomes them with open arms.

Tomlin is the master of squeezing the max out of his teams, but this is about as good as it gets for the Steelers. they aren't formidable enough to run with the big dogs come playoffs time.

their D couldn't make a play to save their lives today. Philly had a 2:1 time of possession advantage and punted once the entire game.

the Eagles had the ball at their own 3 with 10:29 left in the 4th. Pittsburgh never touched the ball again. 21 plays later, the game was over. if the clock hadn't run out that would be a 381-play drive right now and they'd be somewhere in New Jersey
