I want to.say Burrow is hurt but other than his awful stats he seems to be moving around much better than a guy with a calf injury

The Taylor swift crap needs to stop. Word is chiefs players are handing out friendship bracelets.
Next thing they will all be driving pink mini coopers and dressing up as French maids and having tickle parties and pillow fights in the locker room. Bunch of weirdos.

I can deal with the rest of it, but I draw the line at tickle parties.

    Absolutely NO tickle parties!!!

    I forbid it

The NFL has adopted an any attention is good attention. I strongly disagree.

I stopped watching on TV and get my info here. My daughter is a freshman in high school and planning to play 4 sports while also playing on a local travel soccer.

Cincinnati is now on dangerous ground. They didn’t let Burrow heal and now it’s too late to try. A calf injury is a nagging injury that takes complete rest and 6-8 weeks to fully heal.
A bad game is understandable but 4 games is a quarter of a season with only one victory and averaging 12 points a game. Joes a statue back there. He can’t get any push off his bad leg and even sliding right or left to reset in the pocket is impossible.
The schedule is not kind coming up
    Arizona.
There’s no tank in this team as they’ve played everyone tough and have been in games to the end.
    Seahawks
    Bye
    49ers
    Bills.

Can they really sit him for 3 weeks and risk 1-5 going into the 49ers and Bills?

Can they play him and hope he makes it to the bye 3-3?

Can they keep playing him hurt risking their franchise QB to hits like he had last week. ( Almost had his arm torn off and flat on his back)

MHO. This season is over. Rest him until the 49ers and hope they survive at 2-4 until then. If he’s still not healthy shut him down and quit risking him for next year

At this point they really backed themselves into a corner. Burrow shouldnt have been starting but now they basically have to play him even with the injury until they get eliminated from the playoffs which may come rather soon. He basically just keeps injuring the injury every week

Wisconsin 2-6 against the SEC since 2007

excellent post. They are really in a bad situation here. I agree that you cannot risk the franchise.

Sam Howell has a coming out moment in the spotlight on a national stage tonight.
But the WFT defense which was supposed to be their strongest point (every year with four #1’s on the D-line have disappointed) is 21st against the run and 21st overall. I predict Fields also has a decent game running but Howell steals the show

i need a Redskins win by a decisive margin. the clamoring to oust Eberflus is growing louder by the hour, but it's gonna require a completely humiliating loss on national tv to nudge the Bears' brass to that point. why? because they consist of imbeciles who refuse to can coaches during the middle of the season. doesn't matter if he's 3-18 since being handed the reins and it doesn't matter if they've lost 14 in a row, which he is and which they have. from top to bottom the Bears are quite possibly the shittiest, most clueless franchise in all of professional sports. i can't help but laugh when i think about the amount of negativity that has emanated from that team in just the past couple of weeks alone. there are seamless organizations that haven't experienced that much nonsense in DECADES.

people who truly don't know me and watch me in action in threads like the ones centered around Belichick probably think i'm just a douchy hater. if that's what you think, you're obviously entitled to your opinion. but i consider myself to be an equal-opportunity realist instead. i don't sugarcoat my own formulated thoughts. if someone deserves praise, i'll mete out plaudits. if they deserve the opposite, i'm prepared to unload. and right now i just unloaded on my own worthless team.

but there is a flickering light at the end of the tunnel.

memo to the Raiders, Broncos, Vikings, Jets, Patriots, Bengals, Cardinals, Giants, and especially the Panthers: we're about to clean the mf house for the 126th time and we do not need you f'ing things up for us by continuing to lose games. thank you kindly.

    Redskins 77, Bears 2

What I’m thinking is between Caleb Williams and Michael pennix one of them is going to be the next mahomes and one is going to be the next trubisky.
And 100% chance da bears end up with the one who turns out to be the second coming of trubisky.😂🤣😂

When the pats have the ball is the best time for bathroom or snack breaks. You know nothing exciting is going to happen.
If I time it right I can get back to the game right when the pats are punting.

It's all about positive reframing. For example, if given another opportunity to start from day 1 with a rookie Mitchell Trubisky, how would the Bears like to handle things differently this time?

My point? You're right, they could very well screw this up🤷😂

In all seriousness, are you rooting or every L possible? Do you consider a win a mistake?

We were all talking earlier about how you can mess things up. Here's a way...hypothetical, just spit ballin, Chicago wins enough games that they have, say, the 2nd pick (via Carolina) and the 5th pick overall...but Fields has shown them enough that they decide to ride with him and trade down both picks to stack the roster.

Bowers is the best player at his position, one of if not the best college TEs ever. The question just becomes how high would a team draft a TE.

It would be kind of ironic if they managed to mess it up when a late season win last year bumped them up to the 1st pick. The best thing they could do this year is just lose every game

Apparently Washington forgot how to cover a wide receiver. Fields thought he was back in college and DJ Moore joined him at OU.

A few thoughts about the game last night besides DJ Moores monster game.
WFT has four 1st round draft picks on their front four. You can’t watch a game without an announcer stating the fact. When are they going to admit that all four or any of the four play like 7th round journeymen?
Or is it just terrible play design, terrible coaching or just plain busts.
Yes they all have their moments. Don’t quote me stats, sacks, tackles etc.
If I wasted 4 #1picks on a front four I want them to dominate games week end and week out.
The Bears ranked #13 in rushing gashed them for 178 yards. Not a very impressive stat for the front four.
Sacks? They had 3 for a grand total of 9 yards.
The pocket was so fresh last night Fields had enough time to actually look like an NFL quarterback.

So please the next announcer should keep quiet about the four first round draft choices on the line. It’s not a very good look.

    My post May 14th
Washington O/U 6.5. Team is counting on who at QB. Yeah me too. I haven’t a clue. They play four games against teams coming off byes. Under.

To reach 7 wins they are going to have to beat the Giants twice, Jets, Falcons and Patriots.
The rest of the schedule if they continue this look is un winnable.

    Fields will be getting praised.

But he also threw a "hospital pass" to an uncovered receiver, getting the receiver injured.

here's my take: the Commanders are a trash football team.

as i said previously, i watched them for four quarters and an overtime last week against one of the two undefeated NFL teams, and they went balls to the wall and almost took Philly out. in their house, no less. i was like, damn, i underestimated Washington big time.

then, they turned right around four days later at home and made the Bears look like a Super Bowl contender on both sides of the ball in the first half. the discrepancy in intensity couldn't have been more obvious. they made NO plays. it was the Bears blowing down the field with JF having a picnic in the pocket and receivers running scot-free in the secondary, and on the other side of the ball they made Chicago's bottom-dwelling D looking like the one from '85. i think the Commodes had like 50 yards at half.

but did you notice what happened in the 2nd half? the Foreskins realized they were borderline screwed and started playing with a sense of urgency. next thing you know, the game started playing out the way it should have if they had been ready to throw down from the opening kickoff. but the problem was, they were down by 125 points. they weren't prepared, they weren't ready to play, and they got what they deserved, period.

Magic Johnson (now a limited partner) saw exactly what i did and called them out on twitter

if you approach outcomes like last night logically instead of reacting with your heart, which i try to do, then unless the Bears (and Fields) can replicate that performance on a consistent basis, which i don't think they are capable of, it's ultimately damaging to the team. all the occasional dubya does is prevent you from having the pick of the litter come draft time when it's clear that you're in dire need of revamping. plus it keeps our crappy coach employed.

sure, it would be wonderful to play 17 teams that don't give a shit in the first half like Washington did last night and make us look like world-beaters all season long, but unfortunately the Bears will eventually run into another team that actually cares about showing up and showing out, and then they'll be up against it.

My comments weren’t intended for praise on the Bears. It was just horrible Washington is. The Bears will still have a top 5 draft choice

Its a combination of everything. Sweat and Allen have been good. Payne was disappointing for a couple years but was elite last year. Chase Young has been a bust. Its really just a dysfunctional franchise overall.

    https://nflpa.com/washington-commanders-report-card

The players ranked most things an F- for the organization. They spend millions on players and then charter cheap flights without first class seats for enough room etc. Its like like the turf vs grass, penny smart dollar stupid decisions. Even the fans have had toilet water pipes break and pour dirty water over them at more than one game at the stadium.
