I don’t think pats fans really realize just how annoying Gronk was when he played. Kind of like a Neanderthal
suddenly thrust into the modern world. Kind of like a real life Thak from the far side.

Oh believe me I know what your talking about, I saw right through his pretend big kid attitude, it played right into.his brand and he took.it for what he could get out of it.

Ofcourse being a Pats fan I gave him a free pass 😂😂😂

Zach Wilson has officially been benched.

this has to be it for him in a Jets uniform, right?

we saw up here in NE after the first year or so that it was mostly an act. like perk said, it played into his "brand" He is smarter than he lets on. He never blew his $ like so many have. I believe he saved all of his game checks and lived off from endorsements during his career.

He may have been a caveman (or a pretend one), but he was our caveman!!!

it is probably the same thing with Travis down your way.

George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.

Even if it wasnt an act who really cares. These guys are being paid to play football not cure cancer. Its not really a secret that 24 year old millionaires are going to party and hang out with porn stars etc. People are mostly annoyed with Travis over the Taylor Swift stuff and his commercials. Anytime you do drug company commercials youre asking for strong reactions one way or another, and the NFL pushing Taylor to grow the NFL fan base annoys long time fans even though it is smart of them. Repetitive commercials on game days get really old really quick too. Saturday you get Deion in a huge percentage of commercials and Sunday you get Travis and/or Taylor. They arent even good or creative commercials either for the most part which makes it even worse

It is funny though some Philly radio stations are refusing to play Taylor songs leading up to the game.

Wisconsin 2-6 against the SEC since 2007

Honestly that’s just being Polish from Buffalo. I know I grew up there. In Texas it’s “How many aggies does it take to screw in a light bulb.” In Buffalo replace Aggie with, well you get it.

they just flashed a stat up that Josh Allen just passed Mahomes for most TD's in a players first 6 seasons. He still has quite a few games to go to add to it.

    he also holds this distinction

There is still plenty of time for Mayfield to catch up this season...................

    So Kelce fumbles,
Scantling gets open 1 time all game and drops a TD pass,
Justin Watson drops every other pass thrown to him so good news……..
shortly after the game ended the Chiefs called me up and offered me a contract to be a receiver.
I told them I’m 59 years old 6’ 2” and weigh 250 and probably run a 16.5 forty yard dash and just had a bout of A-fib a month ago and take enough prescription meds to sedate a full grown bull moose. But I said I haven’t dropped an opened beer in the last 45 years.
They said that automatically makes me top receiver on the team and welcome aboard. 😳😳💰💰

Marquez Valdez Scantling is such a great speed receiver to replace Tyreek Hill.
Scant man has 14 catches this year. You may ask has he been injured this year? Nope.
In 10 games this year he has never caught more than 3 passes in any game.
It takes longer to say his name than watch all his catches this year.

I already called up Susanna Hoffs and asked her to come to my first game. I don’t feel like I technically harassed her but I am in police custody at this time so my NFL debut could possibly be delayed.

Kind of ironic Scantling has the word "Scant" in his name, what with your notation of his scant (sparse) catching stat. Both words could be interchangeable.

This makes 2 games KC has lost due to a receiver dropping sure passes.

K Toney earlier in the season and now Mo Scantling

@Darin Chiefs will be just fine

My 2 cents. With it and $8 I can purchase a Starbucks.
It was wet and cold all night. The footballs were wet and hard. Kansas City is a passing offense and sometimes that actually hurts later in the season with weather.
Mahomes throws with a ton of zip on the ball and it’s not the easiest ball to catch although professional receivers get paid to do just that.
That doesn’t account for the long drop by Skant.
Mahomes is going to have to find someone he trusts besides Kelse.
It’s one reason Buffalo hopes to become a run team in December and January (they won’t get to the playoffs buts it’s their hope)
Allen smokes the ball and we see Davis just can’t catch sh$t. That’s the reason he had zero targets against the Jets. Allen can’t trust him. But I digress

You guys all need to get a grip and turn your focus away from "all the dropped passes" and consider two other things, two red-zone mistakes by the regular KC heroes, Mahomes and Kelce. There was an Int. in the endzone and a fumble inside the 10 yard line that hurt much, much worse than the dropped passes. Then there was the "intentional grounding" call on Mahomes that hurt and several errant throws. KC looked almost human at times.

In short, the Chiefs made some crucial mistakes.

And on defense KC was probably following the sports forum lead and worrying about Taylor Swift, who was in Rio performing, when they should have been focused on D'andre Swift, who spent time performing in the Chiefs defensive backfield.

@2dueces good point about the wet balls last night. I dont know if it was a factor, but there were a lot of drops. even Kelce dropped one.

I think some kudos should also go to the Iggles defense.

On the first TD by the Eagles the refs missed the obvious hold by the Eagles on KC player #21. Replay clearly showed it on the TD run.

Though they have been helped by their schedule they still beat the difficult teams they've played: Cincinnati, San Francisco and Baltimore once.

Purdy threw a perfect game this week at 158.3 which is pretty hard to do. Niners have the best QB and MVP and are the best team. Oh wait, I am not part of the club here in the Sports Talk so my/this post will be ignored as usual by the 'members'.....................

What are you talking about lol

You are 100% part of the club here every time you post, I don't personally respond to everyone's posts every time but definitely try to engage with everyone, don't take it so serious man

Purdy did have a perfect game but it was against the Bucs and that match up definitely wasn't on the Chiefs/Eagles level but still a great job by Purdy, now if he gets that 158.3 rating against a tougher team then we can start giving him a lot more accolades

    Explain the "Clique" lol

I just don't see it at all, like who is in the membership to said "Clique"?

Actually don't bother explaining it, no need to bring up drama that doesn't exist I guess.

I've personally disagreed with fellow Pats fans here but otherwise I think the threads flow the way naturally although I think some members enjoy auto disagreeing with people consistently just for the enjoyment of point counter pointing but for the most part I think in a lot of ways it's sometimes good for sports talk.

We all got our differences of opinions and that's what we do here, what fun would it be if we all just posted "Agreed" and that's it?

I just roll with it. Sticking your head in the sand like it doesn't exist is another way to go, I guess, it just isn't my way.

Carry on............................and back to the NFL. What the 49ers are doing this seasons is a little similar to what the LA Rams did two years ago, steamrolled through the early part of their schedule, hit a speedbump mid-season, recovered and rolled on to the Super Bowl. San Francisco's problems stem from injuries suffered against the Browns when both Christian McCaffrey and Deebo Samuel were injured and their brief losing streak ensued. No running game and the prime receiver absent left Brock Purdy vulnerable and looking human. McCaffrey is back but it'll be a few more weeks for Deebo.

The way things are looking now the 49ers might have to play the Cowboys in round one of the playoffs, an interesting game.

Anyone who goes into any social setting, whether it is in person, or online, will see things differently. Factors at play include time spent there and experiences elsewhere. I remember @spacehayduke pointing this out before, and our banned friend Hydrant telling him it was not a thing.

I am active on a few different forums. They are all different. And within each one there are differences.

I think that what is being noticed by shd is really the huge differences between the US coin forum and Sports Talk. I remember that he mentioned making a comment, getting no responses, and then someone else starting a thread similar to his comment.

But to see how Sports Talk works specifically, you have to be here enough to have a large sample size. Things are repeated often. There are multiple threads for the same thing. People make comments and it's like they are unheard. It's just the way it is. Different environment. No one is ignoring anyone. Nothing nefarious is afoot.

This place is merrier the more we have.

the Niners looked great.........until they didn't. and injuries played a significant role in that. but now the key cogs are slowly funneling back in and last week they looked like the team that shot out of a cannon at the beginning of the season. unfortunately, they're now looking up at two teams in the NFC due to that lapse. so they'll most likely hit the road at least once come playoffs time unless they track down Detroit and/or Philly, and Dallas is right there with them at 7-3. there's no margin for error.

if i'm an SF fan, the injury bug is my greatest fear. when Purdy lost a couple of his playmakers, he looked vulnerable. with them, a completely different QB. if they stay healthy, they'll be a handful.

Speaking for myself I can only hope my posts elicit some form of interest to the groups. I try to the best of my ability to inform honestly on my posts with hopefully interesting viewpoints and information. If fortunate enough even to post an occasional humorous item. It's really all you can do. The rest you have no control over.
By the way in my almost 10 years in these parts, I have noticed on the coin forum, which I frequent, there are a few posters, for whatever reason,
who never give out a LOL. Regardless of the obvious humor. And this is when 15-20 others have posted a LOL. So go figure.
