It seems like many NFL teams have “Falcon’s disease,” if you have a big lead, blow it. NFL teams need some “closers.”
But don’t get the idea that the solution is “the prevent defense.” I call that “the pervert defense “ because using it will make you lose. It seems like more and more NFL coaches have bought into it.
The late Howard Cosell called it, “Playing not lose.” You usually lose after you implement that strategy.

For the first two weeks, the NFL has started to resemble roller derby with last minute lead changes.

Bills just blew an opportunity for a field goal attempt before the half, the snap was bad and Allen couldn't spike the ball, it's 14-14 at ye olde half.
It's unbelievable how the Dolphins stadium is designed, the opposing team's sideline is exposed to the sun the whole game, while the Dolphins sideline is in the shade, it's really a sinister thing, it's an unfair advantage for the Dolphins, and you can tell it's taking a bit of a toll on the Bills.
Oh, the Dolphins just muffed the punt out of the endzone, safety, the Bills are going to get the ball and all they need is a field goal to win, here we go, 1:25 to go, what a game.
So, it doesn’t take much to get you back on the “Panther wagon.” I thought you had sworn off them for life.
In the mean time, the Bucks are headed toward their first loss. Like I predicted, the offense has lost too many pieces. The defense is disappointing.
Josh Allen had a rare lapse which resulted in a Buffalo defeat. He had a wide open receiver and missed him for a potential winning touchdown. At least it won’t be 100 degrees when the Dolphins play in Buffalo.

3 games in and Brissett looks far better than Mayfield. Even tho Panthers won today, they did it despite their average qb. Brissett OTH, it getting far less sacks that Watson has in the past, and being smart with the ball and it shows in his stats. If he keeps it up, he is going to take the Browns to a winning record until he is replaced.........

If you were paying attention to some of these games today one thing should be clear: the lack of importance to a running game is hurting teams. Buffalo lost and struggles running the ball, KC lost and struggles running the ball, the Chargers lost and struggle to run the ball, Tampa Bay and Green Bay both had trouble running and it hurt Tampa at the end. I accept that the NFL is now a passing league but teams need to be able to run competently at certain times.
Watching the Bucs today, I saw a team that is most likely a lot better than they looked. Their defense was very good, and their offense was missing huge contributors plus suffered from some untimely turnovers.
I watched the Sunday night game. Niners Broncos. Pretty much a taffy pull. Garoppolo through a bad pass to end the Niners night, but other than that he was fine. A lot of good defense in this game, and in other games during the day that I saw. I am curious to see how this season turns out for the Niners. The Broncos appear to have a pretty stout D.
There were some groaners this week. Two of the highly touted games, Packers vs. Bucs and SNF were pathetic, 14-12 and 11-10. C'mon NFL, you can put out a better product than that. I enjoyed watching NCAA Saturday football than the NFL this week and that's not a good sign. Actually, the NCAA offers a more balanced product, teams that can RUN and PASS the football.
Plus, there's always the chance someone might score 100 points!!
I'm not holding my breath waiting on an offensive explosion tonight with the Cowboys vs. the Giants, I just hope it isn't as boring as last night game. Russell Wilson really seems to be struggling and gee-wizz-Jimmy didn't look much better, making a critical mistake and forgetting where his feet were. WoW!!
BTW, @perkdog, the Eagles are still in the NFC, they haven't moved yet.

Just Insanity for week 2
Bump of action!
The Bills just marched right down the field and scored on the Dolphins, 8 straight games with a touchdown on the opening drive.
Bills just turned the ball over near their own goal line, Dolphins ball.
Touchdown Dolphins, it's tied at 7-7.
Oh my goodness, this chocolate chip muffin I'm eating is so much better when you heat it in the microwave, just wow.
Bills just marched right down the field and scored, it's 14-7 Bills lead, so far this is an exciting game!
Don’t look now, but the “little cats” are up 10 - love over the Saints.
I refuse to watch, it's just too much!
Dolphins just scored, it's 14-14, so far we got ourselves a shoot out.
Tua took a hard shot from a Bills LB, he's out of the game and being checked for a possible concussion.
Bills just blew an opportunity for a field goal attempt before the half, the snap was bad and Allen couldn't spike the ball, it's 14-14 at ye olde half.
I refuse to check on the Panthers game, they've gone soft on me, they don't deserve my time. Nope, you're not getting back inside without a win.
Tua is back in the game, he's one tough dude, tougher than Kermit the frog in a meme war!
Man, Josh Allen can just kill a team with his legs.

It's 17-14 Bills lead, the 4th quarter just started.
The Dolphins just marched right down the field and scored, the Dolphins have taken the lead 21-17.
Oh my goodness, the Panthers are winning 22-7 over the Saints with 3:10 left to go in the game, hurry up boys, make your escape!
Bills are down 21-17 with 2:00 to go in the game.
3rd and goal, the Bills need a touchdown.
4th and goal, this is it.
Nope, the Bills didn't get it, it looks like the Dolphins are going to win, unbelievable.
I think Josh Allen might have hurt his hand, they're looking at it on the sideline.
Oh, the Dolphins just muffed the punt out of the endzone, safety, the Bills are going to get the ball and all they need is a field goal to win, here we go, 1:25 to go, what a game.
Bills are almost in field goal range!
Oh my goodness, the Bills couldn't get the ball spiked in time, Dolphins win 21-19!
My Panthers took care of business today, like I knew they would. That's right, we're stylin and profilin!

Jeez, have the Jaguars actually come this far after giving Urban the boot? Won last week now putting it to the Chargers 31-10!
"When they can't find anything wrong with you, they create it!"
Panthers for life, here us roar!
OK @doubledragon - your boy just put it to Brady - time fore some memes -
"When they can't find anything wrong with you, they create it!"

Not many of them can.
What was the final score, 14-12? Both offenses looked like crap, at this rate their postseasons aren't going to last very long.
Oh crap - around here we had this "Couch" - He learned to say "You'er my daddy" real fast in the NFL after every sack! He didn't last long
"When they can't find anything wrong with you, they create it!"
And the Raiders, what are they 0-3 now? They're probably to distracted by Mark Davis's ridiculous haircut to focus on football.
I must say, it's good to see Jimmy G back in charge of the 49ers, it just seems right, it just fits.
....
It wasn't long ago that we had Jacoby Brissett and Jimmy Garoppolo in NE

TOMPA Bay was depleted of WR's so Green Bay got a fraudulent win
The Raiders suck with Carr
Russell Wilson is a has been,
The Pats are still going to be lucky to win 6 games
The Lions are a fun team to watch, their D probably couldn't stop a college team
The Eagles are legit and could contend for the NFC crown
Jax is looking good and Trevor Lawrence could actually be elite sooner than later

Corrected and thank you lol

The Ravens are leading the Bills 7-3 right now, Lamar Jackson is a dangerous man this season.
It's 14-3 Ravens lead over the Bills, Action Jackson is a bad man.
