Goodmorning, my neighbors! It's a beautiful day here in Jersey. Sunflowers blooming. Sun is shining. I got my dog, and I got my cup of Joe.
Looking over one of my favorite tokens which is quite scarce. This is a Post Exchange token from Fort Alcatraz, back when "The Rock" was a US Army installation:
Big and brass, it is just full of "character." This would have been used by soldiers and their families in the early part of the last century to buy goods out on that lonely island in San Francisco Bay. As is often said of many of our collectibles, "Oh, the stories this could tell."
Have a great day, everyone.

Late August on a golden sunshine Saturday. The colors of fall are coming quickly and this coin from my collection reminds me of the multitude of beautiful colors that autumn brings along with the fact that the hot coffee tastes even better! MS66+ CAC
My inaugural coffee post. My coins from Sheridan’s mail bid came in and they are great as usual. Contemplating sending in this toned 1823 for grading as I sip this mid roast from a local hipster coffee roaster.
With my coffee this morning I’m enjoying my 37 proof Buffalo nickel. I won this one in an auction a while back. It’s an outstanding piece and I enjoy looking at it.
Have a great day my coin brothers and sisters😊
The bitterness of "Poor Quality" is remembered long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.

I'd have paid triple that. There's just something about circulated colonial silver. The Spanish, and Mexico by extension, understood what silver should look and feel like in your hand.

During aviations's heyday in the 1920's and 1930's, Cleveland was a major industrial center, and the National Air Races were an opportunity for aircraft builders and pilots to show off the latest models. The races were held annually for many years in late August-early September.

Good morning, ladies and gentlemen. Happy Coffee Saturday to you all. Here is another token with a bear on it for you to ponder over a cup. Having my morning coffee, and looking over my antique shop coin purchases from yesterday.
Back at ya! Gorgeous early CB, with some really cool attributes....I could lost with a 10x in that coin!
Amazing! The coffee is drooling out of the corners of my mouth as I stare at her. Looks like a complete luster bomb!
What a great pick-up in Chicago @pursuitofliberty! Love the original look and the die crack at 7 o'clock and left field. She's a keeper!

Yours looks nice too! The reverses look similar!
@Zoins thank you! The obverse is what sold me on this one. I like the fade from dark to amber.

How about some coffee toning? Just picked these Friday for the toning.
I’d give the Philly 63 and 65+ for the D.
No coffee yet, but I thought I would get the ball rolling with a nice Seated Liberty for the long holiday weekend
