Saturday morning coffee with coins

It's Saturday. I've got my daughter off to ballet, coffee in hand as I sit in the parking lot relaxing with thoughts on the hobby.
Post a coin, token, or medal and share something interesting...
F.R.Behr. Detroit, MI. PCGS AU53
This is one of my favorite tokens of all time. F.R. Behr operated a saloon/bowling alley during the Civil War and issued these 19mm copper tokens that were good for a glass of beer. An obvious play on his last name, the token has a dancing bear with beer spilling from his mug on the obverse, and a bowling ball with a pin resting on it on the reverse.
One of the coolest designs on any Civil War token, hands down!

Looks like another great day in California, Coffee and coins for sure ..
two of my favorites from @DCW
Alot of people consider the quarter size Lindenmueller tokens quintessential to the CWT series. The iconic depiction of Gustavus Lindenmueller himself graces the obverse, sporting the Duck Dynasty beard. In copper, they have to be the most common Civil War token out there. Perhaps minted into the hundreds of thousands. Not so in brass, where examples like this one come few and far between with only a handful known. This has to be the finest example extant, a full MS65 gem loaded with eye appeal, and having been locked away in the personal collection of Rich Rossa and Q. David Bowers.
If you wanted just one example of this famous token for a special collection, this one would be hard to beat.

I've got a really good feeling about this one, just getting my coffee ready 🤗
This is my favorite coin, I wanted it since I was 8 years old having seen it in the Red Book and thinking that I could never afford to own one

Last I checked it’s the highest graded for the date. I love the color on this one and has resided in my collection for many years.
If dead cat waltz exonumia ever becomes a coin club, im in!
I can't think of any phrase better than "coin collecting for outcasts" that describes my focus...😜

Nevada is pretty nice too!
I been to Virginia city more times than I can count over my lifetime. The Bucket of blood saloon and the history of the Comstock load of silver is very intriguing and interesting. A good read to if ya want to read the book, “Saga of the Comstock load.” Most all of the miners were cussing the blue dust that would stick to the gold they were looking for. The blue dust was silver. The only guy that knew it was silver was a Mexican that was running around saying, Muchas Palatas, that means MUCH SILVER but nobody understood what he was saying.
A cool metal that brings back good memories.
Very nice Stef!
Here's one for the California crowd
Yeah, here's one from Carson city 😅

I wanted strong date and strong mintmark... Good for my album.
On its way, hopefully my post will not jinx safe delivery
Well... It is Sunday now, I have no bear coins or CWT's....I do not drink coffee and I am getting ready to go to work... So.... Have a great day everyone Cheers, RickO
I've always liked this Conder Token and someday I'll get a better example. Love the spiral effect!

I've got my coffee, and I'm thinking about beautiful coins.
I am having my Sunday morning coffee, and perusing my LCS purchases from yesterday. The 1996-S National Community Service Commemorative Silver Dollar was an impulse buy. Couldn't pass it up for $21.75. Also picked up an 1898-S "cull" silver dollar to add to the tube. And, one "junk" 1928-D SLQ.
My Sunday Plans
of course, coffee orientated.

OUTSTANDING coin
I'm sitting here with my cup of coffee on a Sunday morning weighing the evidence suggesting this coin is an unattributed late die state 1855/54 overdate half. I give it about a 60% chance that it is. The seller doesn't accept returns so the stakes are high if I'm wrong.
I decided to buy it and thankfully was the only bidder (reduces risk in terms of cost). Other bidders apparently ignored this coin and are instead chasing the unattributed, brightly dipped earlier die state specimen also up for auction. I'll report the outcome when the coin arrives. Hopefully by "coffee time" next Sunday.
Hoard the keys.
Here’s another one I like a lot. Last cup a coffee last post. Then back to the game.
Hang 'em High
Here is the TV, to get this look, you have to shoot it raw and avoid slab glare.
@crazyhounddog
I LOVE that coin. Perfect for type. Wish it was in my collection.

Sunday now. Time for tea.
In between games now and it’s late afternoon. I just want to show this new addition to my collection.
Thank you Jeremy👌
