A 4-pack of Surly Furious here - I don't do a lot with double eagles but every now and then one flies in:
I'd love to know more about these.
What is the time period they were done?
I have a few "fantasy" stamps that I don't know alot about..ill post a few if I can find pics.
I am enjoying the new half cent I posted about previously, which is now happily in hand. The coin is all there with incredible luster and color. In the background is my staple cold brew coffee (living in FL, I drink it year round)
Here is a rare one that I enjoy looking at, especially over a fine cup of Joe : 1863 John Mathhews Soda Apparatus Medal, struck on a double thick SILVER planchet, ex. Donald Groves Partrick

Just returned from my LCS. Not much available today. Picked up some US 90% for 21 X face. I couldn't resist buying the 1874 Canadian quarter for 18 X face. Time to kick back and enjoy a Saturday coffee!
Here’s one I found cleaning out my safe.

Hard Times Token HT-154
Rarity 3 , Copy Of Gold Medal Awarded To R & W Robinson For The Best Military, Naval, Sporting & Plain Flat Buttons
1836 American Institute New York.
Just enough red peaking through to show off the devices & exactly how I like them to look.
A medal, i know, not a coin…..but the scene is interesting and the story better! The church burned in 1897, they struck the coin from the metal salvaged from the copper roof! Only one graded at PCGS cuz i’m that guy…

I just bought a super eye appealing raw coin while drinking this mornings coffee.
This one has to go to a TPG
This is a piece from a 1953 proof set I own. All are beautifully toned.
Sunday is a good day to remember our rights!
Man, I go do stuff for awhile and all the good threads are on page 2..
New one from Stacks Americana.
@jayPem
Really like that engraving "Fireman"
Thanks for posting it.
It is Saturday night, and I have graduated to a stiff drink 🍸
Here's another, one that has been sold a while ago. Its a nice example of a storecard shared by two separate businesses. Uncommon.

Like the surly reference. Surly axman is one I look for when in the Midwest. Hard to find on the east coast.

You've all seen a coin encased in a token, but how often do you see a token encased in a coin?
