Nice additions fellow collectors. I have been looking here and there for cards (Mossi and Miscuts) but nothing is moving me.
Surprise, surprise I did find some vinyl to add though.
This batch includes many artists/albums I hadn't heard of before. The Burton Cummings album is a slight upgrade to one I have. The Marshall Crenshaw although I know of him had never bought anything by him. Atlanta Rhythm Section I have a couple 45's but also never bought any of their albums. Total of 13 that prior to finding the listing I had never heard any of them in my 52 years. Not a stinker in the lot as good stuff on all of them in my honest opinion.
Condition was as stated by the seller being G+ to VG+ with nice sound. Covers have the most damage as the vinyl once cleaned up was mostly free of issues that would cause problems during play. The Charlie - Lines being the worst having sections of groove wear on side 2. Two versions of the cover exist with one having "coke" lines on the mirror and the more common without. Nominal difference in price between the two.
While typing this out currently listening to Gordon Giltrap - Fear Of The Dark album. Very enjoyable and something a little different that I would never have listened to growing up. UK release with great sound.
The Blue Rose for me is the key in this lot. Signed by David T Rose who passed away in 1994 at the age of 48.
Here is a review that was left on Discogs.
"ultimathulerecords June 4, 2015
referencing Blue Rose, LP, Album, EPC 25424
Some musicians engage on the most unlikely career changes! Take these three musicians: Christian Leroux and Serge Perathoner were from the excellent jazz-fusion / progressive rock band Transit Express. And David Rose as a jazz violinist - who would have guessed he wanted to be a pop singer? What they do here sounds like 80's Genesis with bits of Supertramp and AOR elements. No traces of their former inventive selves. Straight pop music, with the tiniest bits of prog and new-wave romantic. Of its era and for pop fans only!"
It is a very interesting album and again something I would never have thought about in my younger years but more open-minded now. I still believe it's because of my butchering abilities on bass and guitar that have made me appreciate more and more artists/styles as I think you listen with different ears and desire to learn more.
Low pop Jr Rookie (Pop 12, none higher). Upgrade for my 1989 Star Master Set and 87-89 Rookie Showcase. These cards all seem to have blue streaking on them.
Lem Barney may have something to say about that. Great player though
I thought of Lem but #20 didn't become a thing in Detroit until Billy and Barry came along. I am biased since I started following the Lions with Billy.

feelings by morris albert man i did not think that anyone would still have that album. also the matthews album does it have the song shake it on it, i think that is the title of the song he had in the mid seventies.

The Morris Albert is one I had never heard of. I gave it a grade of VG. Has some scuffs but plays okay with some occasional noise here and there. Should sound better once I properly clean it. It's not something I'll play often but there are a few tracks on it that I like.
Ian Matthews - Shake It was on the album Stealin' Home from 1978. And because I just looked that up I absolutely remember hearing this one on the radio so many years ago.
The one I have is from 1979 (this copy is the Canadian release) and has:
A1 You Don't See Me
A2 Survival
A3 Heatwave
A4 Home Somewhere
A5 Crying In The Night
B1 The Baby She's On The Street
B2 Hearts On The Line
B3 Anna
B4 Lies
B5 Runaway
I gave this one also a VG grade (many others would give it VG+). It's in the upper range of the grade with great sound but some occasional noise. Some light scuffs. Did just run a brush on it and it pulled a lot of crap off it so a good cleaning will help.

Highlights of my most recent submission (sorry about the dirty carpet).
Griffey was a BGS 8.5
Nice cross on that one! Card looks solid from the front. Issues with the hologram on the back? What kept it at a 9?
It was an older BGS slab, from when they presumably graded tougher. Had an 8.5 for centering (which is crazy considering how good it looks - the back isn't as good as the front though). Unfortunately I lost the BGS label so I don't remember the other specific subgrades, but it was 2 8.5's and 2 9's. I knew the centering would be within PSA 9 standards.
so heres a big one for me I just got in. 2017 Select Dwyane Wade Silver Prizm. was extremely short printed (unnumbered, possibly 50 or so) and is the rarest year for Panini Select. my buddy found one awhile back and he said it took him 3 years to find it. well, I was able to work out a trade deal for it. this now completes my Silver Prizm run for Dwyane Wade.

Great cards everyone!! Still have some "Cardtoberfest" left to go!!
Here is my first Mantle Rookie!! I've bid on a couple since 2014 (when I got back into collecting) but struck out on those.
That is about as nice of an example as you will find in the hobby without selling your home. Strong centering and corners and outstanding color. Assume it is the print stuff that keeps it from getting a higher grade Chris.

Just a few more from my recent sub. Oswalt and Hudson are very low Pops. Both guys on that fringe just outside of the HOF in my opinion.
Both better than several starting pitchers already in, and a lot better than some. Still, Oswalt got only 4 votes when he was up for election. Hudson is a little closer, but just barely qualified for next year's ballot. I think of those borderline players as those who hang around the ballot for a long time.
Example: Dwight Evans was a far better player than Don Mattingly, but Mattingly was far closer to making it to the Hall.
None of this has any bearing on what the various veterans committees will do.
had a bunch of cards return from CSG. submitted a bulk order of stuff to sell and some to keep. for $8 per card, I sent some low end stuff for the PC. Honestly, happy with the grades I got and I love the clarity of the CSG slabs and there is NO room between bumper and card. But I will never fully PC CSG cards, staying with my collection primarily being PSA graded.
Picked up a nice '61 Shantz, clean card and really nice '58 Ashburn. Except for a couple touched corners not seeing any flaws on Richie with unbeatable centering and color. I will take it at a 5 price any day!
dictoresno - how was the sub experience with CSG. Turnaround, grading consistency, communication, etc.
Every big game that Derrick Henry has makes me itchy to sub my small stack of Optic RCs and Prizms. Even if I don't get "PSA prices", they are too nice to sell raw.
Some pick ups from the $5 and $10 bin at the local card show. Check out the Nolan! I also don’t collect modern but the Randy Johnson cards were too cool to pass up.

70s 8s and 9s at decent prices for NFL and MLB HOFers are tougher than ever to locate. That is for sure.
Yeah I had a tuff time finding the 76 Cliff Harris also.

Beautiful Mantle Rookie! Congrats on an amazing card. That is surely one to enjoy.

A nice 2020 Women of Star Wars Blank Back 1/1 - Princess Leia Organa from the Topps Vault.

Lucky to stumble on this one. Love it!
Bought some cards at school today. It's nice to teach at a school where others collect!
Just work backwards by month. No one beats Chris. Ever.
And my goodness, @UFFDAH !!!
I got almost nothing done since this was posted, man. Zero productivity.
That card is outstanding…
I don’t know if you know this but I’m sort of fond of Mickey Mantle.
