I appreciate your generosity of time and info on the forum. I live in NE Iowa. Your picture with the pond and trees is the reason I stay. I do a lot of caving in the Wisconsin, Iowa, Illinois, Minnesota (driftless) area.
I'm drawn to the wood look of the 62s for a similar reason as you. We are partially surrounded with similar trees as you described. Maples, basswood, walnut, few ash, one lonely massive cotton, and some of my favorite...Ironwood.
I gathered you hunt from one of your posts. I know the feeling of being in a tree stand and buying cards, what a rush. Especially when they both pan out!
I bought my first box of unopened cards and awaiting their arrival. 93/94 Fleer Ultra BB series 1. Any experience with Fleer Ultra packs from that era and any advice? I've only opened one box of packs and it was on Christmas in 1994. I was 10 and pulled the scoring kings MJ. I am able to get back into the hobby now that my kids are juniors in high-school.
