I must confess - I was thrilled when this one arrived in hand! It seems like shipping reliability is always in flux so it's nice to have it @ home.
I’ve always enjoyed your choice of words. This is all that came in for me today. Certainly nothing as balling or forgettable as a gem Jordan, but it is Halloween & this seemed fitting.

But I must say Voxels, I admire the courage to buy into Jordan at this juncture in time. The volatility must be extremely nerve wracking. I certainly know I wouldn't do it. So I truly do admire your 10acity! What would really make me nervous is when I get around to running the rest of the cert numbers before or after the one in question and I run into a ton of these.

And then the ones that really concern me are these ones

When I run into them repeatedly throughout, it would give me a scare. I would then wonder why a bunch of the cards were not holdered initially way back when. Minimum grade is not an option because there are tons of 6-9ocs in there. Naturally I would then ponder why ones that did get holdered are now all of a sudden “intentionally deactivated”. Why would they do that? My next line of thought would wonder why such a card had not been sent in for an upgraded fresh flip & holder. Then when I consider just exactly where I bought it from again, I would probably have a severe case of acid reflux. Happy Halloween! 😉

Ol' Blurry. A time-tested poster. Dozens and dozens of times per day. Even in a pandemic!!

I'm honestly just **thrilled **that You and your gal pal Flux spent so much time researching me, me, me!! It's weird but ultimately flattering.

But, I will be just fine. Promise. :)

P.S. In your weird, creepy schoolgirl analogy... Is "flux" the bear?

Nice! The bugaboo with this card is always how bad the PD is, but yours doesn’t look too bad.

    1980 Grocery Rack with 79 Wrappers…

1978 Holiday Rack -- Yeah I know those Holidays are repacks and I really did not spend a lot cash on it, but I really like the AFC - NFC Championships, that pink & purple; I just love that color contrast, and with those two going to Super Bowl XII is another special meaning to me.

Feast your eyes on this stunning highly gradable 1966 Topps Venezuelan. Clearly a 1 of 1 and beyond ULTRA RARE!!!!!

    Backs nice anyway. :D
Came in one of those standard envelopes (a first for me) and watching the tracking on that was laughable. Never showed as being at our local PO. Showed as out for delivery 92.3 miles from my place this morning.

Oh, but my sports items purchasing didn't stop there. How about these beauties.

The book is really nice and was at our local discount store Marden's (if local means a 1 hour drive), for a grand total of $2.99. Don't have a PS5 but at those prices I couldn't pass them up and added them to my video game collection.

But wait, that's not all I bought last month. I bought a stunning 52 Topps Micke, er yeah, nah! Records is what I bought.

First up a bunch of 12inch singles from a seller I have done previous business with. All were as expected just needing a bit of cleaning here and there.

List of titles as you can't really see them.

Louis Clark & The Philharmonic Orchestra - Beethoven's Fifth
Martha Wash - Give It To You 9 tracks Promo
Martha Wash - Runaround 5 tracks Promo
Karyn White - Hungah White Vinyl Promo
    Karyn White - Secret Rendezvous
Tracie Spencer - Symptoms Of True Love Promo
Denise Lopez - Don't You Wanna Be Mine Promo
Veronique - Forget Me Nots Yellow Vinyl
Veronique - Forget Me Nots Purple Vinyl
ABC - The Real Thing Promo
Stevie Wonder - I Just Called To Say I Love You (Germany)
    Deskee - Dance Dance Promo
Prince - Glam Slam (generic plain white cardboard sleeve with a (promo) gold stamp)
Christina Aguilera - Beautiful Double Vinyl Promo
Prince - Sign O The Times (Red text on label)
    Hubert Kah - Military Drums
    Re-Flex - Hurt Promo
    Suave' - My Girl
    Michel'Le - No More Lies
Gladys Knight - Next Time Promo
Oleta Adams - Circle Of One
    Aretha Franklin - Everyday People
M People - Colour My Life Promo
Rockell - I Fell In Love
Chill Deal Boyz - Rock The House
Blue Mercedes - I Want To Be Your Property 3 tracks
Blue Mercedes - I Want To Be Your Property 2 tracks
Lidell Townsell - Nu Nu Promo
House Without A Home Vol. 4 (Side 1 labeled twice with top one peeling)

Most are things I hadn't heard of but pretty much all stuff I can listen to. Christina Aguilera - Beautiful Double Vinyl Promo is one of the rare times I assigned a NM grade as it's a really sharp quality record. Weirdly record one weighs 138 grams and record two 145 grams.

Veronique - Forget Me Nots purple and yellow.

Karyn White - Hungah White Vinyl Promo

Three others were translucent. Lots of arguing online over translucent records but I separate the ones I find and they have their own space on the shelf. Are they worth more? Are they worth less? Don't care. Do they sound as good as a non translucent version or sound like crap? Again, don't care. I hear no difference in them (I do have a few where I have copies of the same album that you can see thru and ones you can't). I find them an interesting oddity and tend to be able to tell them just by feel when removing from the inner sleeve.

Denise Lopez - Don't You Wanna Be Mine Promo seems to be collectible overseas as seeing a couple sales from $34.25 VG+ to $47.95 Mint and $5 to $15 here in the States. No mention of translucent copies.

But that wasn't the end of my vinyl addiction. Found a seller on eBay with some 9 album lots for $5. Had a LOT of conversations back and forth as no details describing condition. He stated that some could have dirt/scratches and be in the G/G+ grade which is usually trashed. Sent a pic of one I graded in that range and he said it was a good representation of some and that others might be better. Also looked at the provided pictures of the covers (light wear) and long story short he wants to move these and we came up with a price that worked well.

    These were what I bought.

Here is Don McLean - Chain Lightning. The before is similar to the picture I sent him when trying to figure out condition before purchase which is why I went for it.

    And the after cleaning.

Was pleased with that and proceeded to give this one a listen. Placed needle down and jump, jump, jump. CRAP! Has an edge warp effecting the 1st track on both sides. Rest of the album sounds good though. I know warps can be fixed but don't have two panes of thick glass to place it between while giving it a sauna treatment in the oven so going to try placing it between a couple boards and adding weight to it. Might work, might not but worth a shot.

Linda Ronstadt - Heart Like A Wheel has a weird tiny circular groove wear on both sides in what looks to be the same exact spot. Did try and play it but when the needle hits that area it makes a VERY obnoxious screeching sound so won't do that again.

Not a big deal as I do have a double of it anyway. The rest were decent shape in the VG to VG+ range except Herman's Hermits is G but think it will bump up a bit once I give it a good cleaning. All very nice playable copies with minimal to no issues during play having visual issues with light scuffs and a couple with light scratches.

These were added freebies (along with a 2020 calendar). I have a KISS 45 here (somewhere) that I can put into the Casablanca sleeve.

And for anyone that is interested in seeing more of this one. :)

I haven’t gotten mine back yet (sent in Feb). I know there are Mantle and Yaz ones in the pop report, among others. Perusing the top master sets might help you find pics. Sorry I couldn’t be of more help. I’ve got 13 caps coming back at some point and I’ll post them here whenever that is.

I got a few bottle caps to send as well…any idea on the cost of subbing? Are these also covered under the “$150+ only” submission plan right now?

    Coke

    Fresca

    Tab

    Fun stuff. 😁

@1951WheatiesPremium Hi Tim, yes, the rate for those is the same as cards, though they need to be in a separate sub. I submitted mine back in Feb for $10 each. I doubt we ever see that pricing again.

Yeah it was under one of their bulk deals. I think you needed 25+ items to get the $10 price and they had to be vintage items. But to be honest I don’t really remember all the details at this point.

This card is so rare centered like this. Tremendous card no matter what it grades. Major CONGRATS. I still remember the day my friend found this one raw for me. Could never upgrade this to a lesser centered 9.

Irrespective of grade, that is a gorgeous example of a key card that everyone here would be proud to own and feature as part of their collection.

I get it. Probably discovered the actual value of the Buddy Holly record but do your research, put more thought into your listings, have better descriptions and start it at a minimum price your comfortable at. Frustrating but not worth losing sleep over.

And I did get something today for the wife. Brand new/$6.86 delivered. I know it's not a big deal but she didn't have it and loves Garth Brooks.

This seller has a 75% seller rating!! That’s terrible! eBay should ban them!

Beating a dead horse here (apologies for bumping this up). They managed to boost their feedback to 80% now. About a month ago I left what I felt was appropriate feedback being a neutral and they waited that long to respond with:

**I had these items shipped from Vegas to Michigan as I was cleaning out my deceased aunt's home. They were damaged in the process. **

Uh, what? I'm confused as I don't live in Michigan (seller does). So guess they listed these while in Vegas, they then send them to themselves from Vegas to Michigan with my winning bid somewhere in between that time frame and while waiting for them to be delivered to them to send to me, they provide tracking number along with shipment notice, wait days and magically all were damaged so refunded?
