I used to try to cross all my coins. Now I've learned to like them in various TPG holders. Here's one that I decided to keep as is, and not feed the PCGS beast. NCG AU-58...
My Cook Islands "moon" coin. That's a tiny piece of a moon rock imbedded in the coin. One side of the coin is the side that faces the Earth while the other side is the so called "dark" side that faces away from us.
Here is a tougher, scarcer newp from earlier today. The 1911-D Half Eagle in XF-ish? These are not easy to grade... what might you grade it? off to our hosts here soon to have it confirmed. I like good-looking rarer gold!

Here is another one of my gold newps. This is a Type 1 from New Orleans... my second out of the 5 coin set. This one is still raw and I am not sure on the grade yet as I am just dabbling into the series.

Been looking for a 92-S that looks like this for the past 20 years.
Beautiful Vern! The '84-S as a date is no slouch either in higher grades! This one that follows is a MS62 CAC that has crossed my camera lens from the Alberta Gray Idaho Collection:

Hello Everyone! I'm migrating off of a few "specialized threads" and starting a new one. I'm going to try to post images daily of a coin that I like, regardless of type, denomination etc. Hope you'll join in and post some of yours too!
Please keep it friendly! No haters!!! Thanks!
I'll start with this recently acquired 1919-S Half, PCGS CAC XF-40. Special thanks to Liz Coggan and photos courtesy Barberkeys!
There's a lot to be said for getting no problem circulated coins with better dates. The less expensive the coin, the more likely it has original skin. And the more people can add it to their collections.
Your coin in MS 65 or in XF 40 has the same history, except more people actually used your coin in their lives.
"Vou invadir o Nordeste, "Seu cabra da peste, "Sou Mangueira......."
More recent newp gold... ANA WFoM was busy busy busy yesterday! seemed there were less tables than 2019 (they moved the curtain in somewhat from the far back wall, say, 20%?)
A more common '07 for my uncirculated type set...

I think I was able to upgrade my previously posted 1907-P Quarter Eagle with this newp... well the picture is better at least. The color and flash is much improved:

Thanks, Zoins! It's one of the few coins I have that lacks at least some degree of color.
Thanks, Wayne!
