Hello Everyone! I'm migrating off of a few "specialized threads" and starting a new one. I'm going to try to post images daily of a coin that I like, regardless of type, denomination etc. Hope you'll join in and post some of yours too!
Please keep it friendly! No haters!!! Thanks!
I'll start with this recently acquired 1919-S Half, PCGS CAC XF-40. Special thanks to Liz Coggan and photos courtesy Barberkeys!

Nice one!
Nice!

This is my favorite series and my favorite business strike therein-
Gorgeous skin on that ‘19S walker!
Nice coins.
A recent acquisition.

It's not having what you want, it's wanting what you've got.
I'm still in shock on this one.
Paper money eventually returns to its intrinsic value. Zero. Voltaire. Ebay coinbowlllc
Grove mint has amazing shipping time. RoadRunner fast😊
🎶 shout shout, let it all out 🎶
The chopmark saved me a grand and I like it.
One of the nicer, original-looking, mark-free Newfy halves I've seen on eBay. It probably has so many hits on it that they've canceled each other out.
My '19 Lincoln that I have always liked. ms65rb with a gold cac
I like this one.
And this is my favorite of the proofs, partly because it was cherrypicked. PCGS PR65.
One of my favorites.
TBD
1901-o, MS-66 w/ great luster, that can't be seen in the photo. In hand it's a knockout
My favorite series.....
"That's why I wander and follow La Vie Dansante"
I found a new "signature" coin to add to my collection. This one is a 1901 British Penny . . . . . .

Good morning! Well, I'm delighted with the great response! So many wonderful coins from type to modern, US & foreign, well circulated to high end mint state to deep cameos! I plannned on trying to comment on all of them but I'll be typing for an hour! In short then, I'll just say that I'm thrilled to have a passion for this hobby and I'm ready to learn as much as I can about both the collectors and the coins that y'all like so much!
For today, a Morgan dollar and a quick story. Morgan dollars typically aren't my cup of tea and in the past, I've had a bit of disdain for them. There's so many of them, so many uncirculated examples. The pops are sky high and the prices are set on demand and not supply. Then I decided to try to assemble an evenly matched set of PCGS/CAC XF examples with a particular look, and the challenge was on! Most I've CAC'd myself. The criteria: Original skin, very few surface marks, gunmetal greyish color, no problems. Let me tell you, finding qualified candidates is no easy task, even with the ocean of available coins out there.
My lastest pick-up a few months ago was this 1879-CC in XF-45 courtesy Rick DeSanctis, and yes, I CAC'd it myself.....

Nice ones. Love that OP 1919 S. I have a D that’s similar.
Here’s a ‘27
I like this one a lot
Mr_Spud
TCS- Great looking 27! MS-64?
Mr Spud - Love the die clashes! Nice color too!
I bought this over 25 years ago from the late Chip Gambino, a Westchester dealer and a real nice guy. It reminds me of him.

I like the holder almost as much as the coin. And I’ve owned it longer than CAC has been around, so I know it’s never been submitted.

Great coins in here Lenny! Good thread.
Here's one I like (a lot)

What?!?! No Barber quarters in the mail today!?!? ... "heavy sigh" ...
I bought this for my 7070 in the mid eighties for $120. The surfaces are actually PL, and the album toning more colorful than I could capture.
Another day of great coins posted! You guys are really making it happen!
Thanks Todd and Milo! Good to have you both aboard.
This next one gets onto the "Coins I Like" list because it's a tough date, but especially because I recenty found it raw! Now in a PCGS 35 holder and on it's way to CAC for the final step....

I like this one because it "yoo-hoo'd" me from Bonnie Sabel's display case one afternoon.
I think it's a nice demonstration of how toning can sometimes accentuate the design elements.
That’s a beauty!!
I have always really liked the 1909-O Barber Quarters. These are the only two that I have.
Not a bad idea to have a few 1909-O quarters around!
