@SanctionII... I completely understand.... As a YN during the fifties, there were plenty of Mercs in change... Plus silver quarters and halves... WLH's were common. Cheers, RickO

All halves and quarters were silver back then. None of this "Modern Crap". Silver dollars were also available at banks.
Made time to hit a few banks today - Plus a couple of Jeff rolls showed up that I purchased on the Bay which, I'm not really excited about. Mainly because they came from a "mainly roll seller", the rolls, are loosely wrapped, and well I'm just not really feeling it nor am I expecting any 67's but we'll see.
I will say however I'm expecting a couple of rolls from another seller later this week and those I am anticipating some good finds and of course will post the results this weekend.
Why? You ask, am I expecting the latter rolls to be good. Okay, I'll tell you The seller has over 100 listings of odds and ends, household stuff but only 2 coin rolls and nothing else even remotely coin related.
So, that to me is the first hurdle, it's good but obviously doesn't guarantee anything but the wrapping looks tight, original, showing luster, and the dusty spotty light green color of those enders is typical of an untampered roll that has been sitting for several decades. Anyway, I'll get back later as I'm starting to drool.

This pic from earlier from a certain bank that had two specific rolls - highlighted - with the goods.
So, I went back Yesterday and managed ten more of the same type. They were loaded with early nineties and lots of teasers.
Of those there are 2 or 4 that Should make 68 Top middle and top right...

You know I love seeing those! Take your time...BE the grader
So All 6 of my orders placed at the PCGS table last Saturday at the National Coin Show are showing in my account!!!
Amongst them are some of the CRH finds Including a 2021 D.
I'm pretty sure it was this one but I'm really not sure, narrowed it down to 3 that morning lol.
There were a few to choose from, but I'll definitely be honest about my results when they come in
@Kurisu That Lincoln looks pretty tight. Good luck with it.
Something looks different about his hair - couple of locks in the middle???
Anyway 67+ or 68.

...Not sure it's the one I sent lol, but we'll find out
I hunted a cent box, dime box, and a nickel box and had some pretty decent finds:
In the cent box:
2020 Partial Collar Shield Cent
1911-D Lincoln Wheat Cent (My first of this year/mint--was actually an ender)
A pretty nice 1996 with nice toning (that isn't too visible in the pic)
In the dime box:
A 1964-D memorial cent that was cut down to pass as a dime (probably sometime in the 60s/70s when vending machines still took dimes), a 1970 proof reverse, and a 1966 that could very well be an escapee from an Special Mint Set
In the nickel box:
1945-S War Nickel (my second ever S-mint war nickel)
And lastly my first ever 1958-P nickel (in decent shape too!) and a 1968 Canadian nickel.
The rolls I mentioned earlier arrived today. I don’t know what the original roll paper would have looked like in 1964 and 1979 but they sure do look legit to me. They even pass the smell test :-)
Allegedly, and as the story goes the seller went to the bank with his dad in 1964 when he was 15 years old and has been saving this role in ever since. So he must’ve been 30 when he picked up the role of Susan B Anthony‘s.
Sounds like one of those typical estate stories you read on eBay that turn out being anything but. Again my instinct tells me that these are legit.
Let’s review, he had over 100 listings with only two rolls of coins nothing else even remotely related to coins.
In the father son story he used the word posterity and said he would hope that the next owner of these coins would hold them for another 58 years.
And finally, when the package arrived today the box had stamps, lots of stamps, who uses stamps?!
I am really hoping some gems fall out of these tonight but before I dig in I’m gonna give them another hour or two of posterity while I get blurry faced

🍺🍷🍺🍷🍺🍷🍺
All clear. Both look 100% right to me...go to town!!!
Oh I'd be immersed in both those rolls for a while lol...
Just getting into the first roll and maybe a couple of 66’s already. The roll is definitely legit as they mainly all have the same toning.
I have a 66 somewhere that I had graded last year I can use for comparison. Aside from strike and Luster the trick with these is finding one without all the hits on Susan‘s hair.
I need 3 in a row for a jackpot.
🍋🍋🍋
So I decided to search the unfortunate P Maya rolls I received...
I've got a bunch of fresh ones on the way though
On that note I'm starting to see some really nice Denver Mayas show up in my rolls, but no solid rolls yet.
As expected, I'd say nothing over MS65 in the most severely damaged rolls.
Got down to the last two, left the two least damaged rolls for last.
Just finished one of those last two...
It's making me feel excited for the replacement rolls arriving undamaged!!!

Yup...no more 67s or 68s in there doh!

Geeze.
I remember finding Mercury dimes in pocket change all the time as a YN back in the early 1960s.
Back then circulated examples dated from the mid 1930's forward were "spending money?
Not so today. Grats on the pickup.

Here are the best three. Not sure if one of them could make the necessary 67 but there’s only one way to find out.
My cell is taking blurry pictures errr operator error.
Great lookers, alright! That middle one seems to have a toning?
No Near Rims, huh?

On the 64’s no FS, no d/d, and nothing higher than MS64 but……….
Possibly, what would only be the second one known to man and PCGS.
A 1964 D PL
Wow, that is some Jefferson and some beautiful demonstration!
Could be?
That Quarter you're holding doesn't look too bad as well!

Question for everyone - What's up with this quarter?
Stood out immediately...extremely square edges, nice strike but seems mushy here and there, but loaded thick with nice luster too lol...
