@joeykoins ... Great W find.... Strangely enough, I got a 'War in the Pacific' quarter in change yesterday.... But no W... ... Still looking for one in the wild.... I will find one!! Cheers, RickO
I have been hunting (circulated) quarter rolls for over two years now; I have only found two silver quarters, both 64's and two S clad proof coins during that time...
I keep choice looking quarters to hold or fill coin-books. Lately it is very difficult to find any W's (I've had my fair share) but I have not had the luck of JoeyKoins has have.
I cannot get full quarter boxes, I "exchange" the rolls I have researched for replacements from my bank - Sometimes I exchange at my local Safeway/Trader Joe's but continue to come up empty...
I keep trying, circulating about 20-30 rolls per week. I also search penny rolls but not much else (wheats/copper/choice)...
With an exception of one beautiful toner.
On with the show we go.
Next, the 30 rolls of Quarters.
I'm supposed to pick up another half box today?
We shall see?
Thanks

Nice find...I have not seen, even here in Denver.

This just happened. Okay actually happened 41 years ago and must’ve been some kinda jam judging by the dents on the edge and the roller marks on the face.
FYI: seller reef20 on the bay is legit.
It’s where the MS68 86’s and 91’s came from along with a few others including this one.

i am SO happy now that you get to sit AND have a view. that is CRH exec style baby!
the method below is how CEOs roll though.
now we need to get you a chair like this, put the coins all over the floor (preferably on a shower curtain ), then you can just spin and pick out the good ones and use the curtain to dump the junk into a bag, quick n easy!
Finally the D's arrived in Denver! Got these 2 beautiful rolls yesterday
At my credit union where the limit is still 2 rolls of each
Then went right to Chase to see if they had any, hoping for some Sally's too no luck.
Beautiful day so I went this morning to get 2 more lol.
Well I got one more full Maya and one with an ender signed by the searcher JM lol!

There are at least 3 die chips above the "Liberty" and the date "1960" on the 1960 nickel. In the 60's smoeone called these satellites. This name does not seem to have catched on. There is a die chip above the "E" in "Liberty and above the "R" in liberty and the "0" in "1960" attaching to the rim. This date "1960" nickel has been found with anywhere from 1 die chip to as many as 7 above the liberty and date. I do not know if they have any value or have been found on other dates. That is my extent of knowledge on these coins. I had some at one time, but I don't remember what I did with them. Nice finds!

Last Wednesday's half dollar finds: (back to normal)
No silver.
No Proofs.
About 30 NIFC's
I managed to get some customer wrapped rolls in all denominations.
Dime finds ($250 hunt-I have searched through about half of these so far)
Finds-1 silver 1957-P dime.
Nickels ($200 hunt - I have searched about 1/2 of these so far)
Finds--1940-S . I do not consider 1946-1959 common dates as finds. I actually needed this coin for an old Whitman folder.
Pennies $50 searched
15 wheaties - A 1984 with a light die clash.
AND: They are still out there-1972 DDO's
This 1972 DDO Lincoln cent. I do not know which one this is. It is not the big one. But most penny collectors know that 1972 DDO's come in many different varieties. If you know which variety it is, please let me know. The doubling is mostly seen on "In God We Trust".
This coin has been in circulation for 50 Years just waiting for me to find it.

@rec78 Nice find! I’m out and on my cell phone and cannot confirm which one this is at the moment,
The date resembles the Fs-104 but that one has a clockwise rotation and yours looks counter. It would be very cool if it is though, highly prized and rare.

Having completed this box of '21P (40 rolls - I put 10 away for a rainy day) the final count is:
336 lapel cracks
85 head spikes
(0 have both)
I saw on ebay one other guy selling the lapel crack (he didn't say how many he had) and the interesting thing is he is also in Connecticut.
Didn't really see anything unusual on the flip side, but honestly I wasn't looking that hard.
