Bennet is getting suspended for monday nights game with the Jets after a "disagreement" with his postion coach.

Hopefully he Doesn’t think he is being singled out and get all but hurt over it

I have heard, not sure if it's true, that he has been upset about playing time. Seems like he has played well in limited snaps. The defense is loaded.

I’m ok with a guy being upset over playing time actually but really the D has been playing so well I don’t understand why he would want to make an issue out of it, everything they have done is working well. Bennett has been quiet and honestly I couldn’t stand the guy but he has been well behaved up to this point. Hopefully he calms down going forward

Does anyone know what the disagreement was about?

    I can’t believe Brady did that πŸ˜‚

I agree, but this game concerns me. The Pats have not been impressive despite the wins.

They should handle business on a Monday Night with a week plus to prepare

I agree. I am not "6-0" level confident, but we should not look bad.

    Nice start - 17-0 1st quarter 🏈🏈🏈

New England's defense is beyond sensational

if tonight's game had been 10 quarters the Jets still would not have scored and they probably would've had 20 turnovers

you'll never be able to outrun a bad diet

I just read where the NFL may require the Patriots to spot their opponents a few touchdowns before the game begins.

    7-0. Good start.

You know BB loves winning games that still have mistakes and teachable moments.

  • perkdogperkdog Posts: 30,855 ✭✭✭✭✭

I went to bed early, I didn’t even bother posting about the game either since the Jets are just an absolute joke of a team. 😴

Pats just traded 2nd Round pick for Mohammad Sanu. Getting deeper πŸ˜€

I like that! He is a legitimate solid WR, as bad as Atlanta is playing he has been pretty good with them. I was hoping they made a play for Emmanuel Sanders but this will work. I like it πŸ‘

7-0 is good and regardless of how the competition has been it still bodes well for the march towards a first round bye come playoff time πŸ‘

So the Eagles, Texans Cowboys, Chiefs, Ravens will be tough games. Bengals, Bills and Browns I’m not too concerned with and Miami is a joke but we got a tough stretch of games to go going forward

It's gonna be interesting to see who BB decides to take off of IR. If there is a chance of Develin & Wynn being able to come back at some point does this Sanu trade mean Harry is the odd man out.

There is no way he gets rid of Develin. Wynn is needed on the Line so yes Harry is who I’m thinking as well.

  • erikthredderikthredd Posts: 9,055 ✭✭✭✭✭

I read earlier that Develin is around halfway through his expected eight weeks and I couldn't find anything other than week to week on Wynn. I think that would be best case scenario if those two make it back. It would suck for Harry though,i've been looking forward to seeing what he can do.

I would like to keep him over Develin, I feel that Develin is counted on in key situations more so than he should. I like him but not at the expense of Harry

Totally agree, I think we can take 4 of 5 (Defense will cause lots of problems for opponents). Eagles have taken a nose dive, Cowboys have been weak away from home, KC (health of Mahomes), Belichick should contain Lamar and make him throw downfield, Texans D is mediocre. Could win all of these and all teams have their issues. O line is our biggest ???, too hard to run the ball. Undefeated would be awesome, but sometimes puts a target on your back, inspires the opposition, and pushes fans toward the upset on a neutral field.

hard to believe the pats gave up a 2nd round pick, they usually pick up good players for a 6th or 7th round pick

I like where your thoughts are at except I really don’t want the pressure of an undefeated season to hamper their play or focus on the big picture. Stay healthy and get a first round bye πŸ‘

Once he wins #7 this year they can have him but I at least want the Jordan statue in return. They can just deliver it to my front lawn. :p

So I was thinking they must have known he was going on the IR that’s why they grabbed Sanu first before they announced Gordons was being shelved but it sounds like he will be ok and they plan on releasing him. He will sign with someone I’m sure

  • erikthredderikthredd Posts: 9,055 ✭✭✭✭✭

Well this stinks. If Harry doesn't come back then Gunner & Meyers will likely start seeing more looks.

Yea at one point we had AB, Gordon and Demaryius Thomas, pretty crazy to think about how good it could have been with all three of those guys getting balls thrown to them by Brady!

Bennett to Dallas for a 7th.

A 7th round pick is giving him away, up until this latest bump he was actually doing ok in his role but if he was going to act up I’m glad he is gone. We needed the roster spot anyways.

Heavy rains today, predicting Browns will have difficulty scoring. Should be low scoring - Pats 20-7.

It'll be a 6th if he is active for atleast 4 games I believe.

Defense continues to look great! 10-0

Obvious the Browns are the better team. They will come back and win the game. This is not debatable.

Game is too close for comfort here. 17-10

  • stevekstevek Posts: 29,168 ✭✭✭✭✭

I'm rooting for the Patriots to remain undefeated.

Then in three weeks they come to the Linc and learn once again what Eagles football is all about, and go away with their first loss of the season.

  • perkdogperkdog Posts: 30,855 ✭✭✭✭✭

Boom! Great drive right there!! 🏈

  • perkdogperkdog Posts: 30,855 ✭✭✭✭✭

I like 24-10 much much better πŸ‘

  • stevekstevek Posts: 29,168 ✭✭✭✭✭

They were just toying with the Browns.

  • perkdogperkdog Posts: 30,855 ✭✭✭✭✭

Not really Steve, they are running the ball well and giving Brady some pressure. Don’t get me wrong I think we are good but it’s not been as easy as I thought

Shows what I know. Pats look like a real quality team. I still think the Browns will get them in the playoffs.

I know everyone will argue the point, but except for that really weird and incomprehensible three play stretch it was a reasonably close game. that first fumble was a fluke as a blocker turns upside-down and actually kicks the ball out of Chubb's hand, never seen that before. same thing with that shovel pass, never saw that happen before. that fumble on the long run was a close play, I don't think Chubb knew he was coming and the blocker was about a step away from making the block.

all around just three weird plays that you hardly ever see, all happening in succession is pretty hard to imagine.

I realize that to a lot of people the Browns look like a s**t show but it's weird stuff like that and the small mistakes that keep killing them. the League-wide frustration with the Officials isn't missed on Cleveland, there just are too many "judgement call" penalties that get called and the Browns have to play without those errors.

I thought the Browns played tough, one of the biggest problems with them is the lack of discipline. They get a lot of penalties I think, had that Chubb fumble not happened on the breakaway run and they didn’t get as many penalties they stood a solid chance. Running the ball while eating up the clock and rushing Brady is the way to stay tight with the Pats. It was almost closer than the score reads.
