James, great cards! I don’t remember you picking up any football or any sport than Baseball in the past....
Thanks Dan. It has been a long time since I bought any football cards. It was an impulse buy from the same person that I bought the two 1967 cards from.
I've been slacking hard and missing out on some Roy's I wanted, but the Roy market on eBay has been thin lately to begin with. A couple low dollar cards, hoping to add some nicer cards to the collection shortly:
Main collecting focus is Patrick Roy playing days 85/86-02/03, expect 1/1, National/All-Star stamped cards.PC Completion: 2,548/2,952; 86.31% My Patrick Roy PC Website:https://proy33collector.weebly.com
I love the variety of this thread! Some really nice stuff being picked up by forum members this month. I've been sitting still a bit because there is supposed to be a brand new lacrosse set dropping at the end of the month and I want to grab some boxes or maybe a case. We shall see...
Todd Tobias - Grateful Collector - I focus on autographed American Football League sets, Fleer & Topps, 1960-1969, and lacrosse cards.
A Lebron Rookie pickup that I sent in for Auto grading. Now a Pop 1 PSA Double 10.
I think we need an UFFDAH thread devoted to the sheer awesomeness of your collection! Love seeing your cards! But I’ll settle for re reading your recent article! 😁
Had a PSA Mail day today. This was from a January bulk sub. The Dahlin Young Guns Exclusive is a POP 1 for now but I'm sure it wont stay that way. Subbed a total of 6 base YGs and only the one got a 10 that was a pretty poor showing on my part. Such is the game,
Thanks guys
Was getting a little worried when the 5 month wait past, but it’s all good to get them back. I have another grading sub return so will get those up when I get a chance. Finally figured out my scanner haha. Thanks @NGS428 !
This card was picked up today at a local card show - the Parsippany PAL Card Show in NJ - and is for this rare set that I am working on. A big name get for the set (and in general) and in simply stellar condition given the issue.

That 68' 3D Clemente. That's a dream card for me and on the bucket list. I remember the Clemente 3D being showcased as an elite card when I was around 12 or so in the early 80's. To me it's a card of ages, a card that is legendary in collecting!!
>
I agree. Seems this Clemente is iconic for the seasoned card collectors going back many years. I was surprised by the reaction on Instagram of guys who never knew about the card. It is my personal white whale and favorite to the collection.
Bragging Time - got these back today from PSA, via the quarterly jumbo holder special. The details behind the Swann are written up in another thread here (maybe something about “favorite non-card item”?). The Paterno auto is on the official alumni football newsletter for their first National championship. The jumbo holders are very nice and very reflective
Great stuff guys! That Swann is fantastic, what a night that was!
Here’s a small sub that took a little longer to get back as both Brady cards were labeled “Gold”. Man, I wish! I caught it before they shipped back and PSA corrected them.
These were both LCS pack rips. One graded an 8 before and I cracked and resubbed it with another that I pulled last year.
Ryan is a LCS raw buy. Third one I’ve gotten and will keep grabbing them when I see them. Previous two graded 8’s and look just as nice
Mays was a card that I had tried many times over the years to get signed, but Willie remains impossible
Payton was a raw $50 buy on another board, looked nice and took a chance
Rodgers was a LCS raw buy. Needed a Rodgers in my collection and I liked the looks of this Bowman issue
McDavid was a pull from LCS box purchase. Young Guns pulls haven’t been so nice otherwise
Wow, more amazing stuff! The Bowman Brady RC (and gold and chrome) is my favorite of his RCs. I recently sold a lot of over 700 Brady cards, but I held onto my raw copy of that card. Fantastic! You obviously have a great eye for raw cards as well.
I think in the future you will really appreciate pulling that McDavid yourself. I pulled 2 and regret selling them. It was just a good deal at the right time. But that and selling a few of his FWA early are my two biggest modern regrets. Wish I would have kept 1 & 1 just for being able to say I pulled it. But hopefully they dip in the future, I’ll buy back in, and will feel better.
I had to look up the Brady Gold to see if I had overlooked something at first, no chance haha. Would love to have one and I really like the Chrome too.
I was chasing Young Guns to get signed back then and when I pulled this McDavid, I knew that I had to keep and grade it. Glad that I did. I eventually bought one raw from the LCS and sent it out for consignment. Didn’t get signed and came back dinged 😡

I love when I find something vintage that I've never seen before of my favorite player. Scoop time! Sure, it is all beat up but its a premium believed to be from the Stadium in 1959 (from original owner) and it's a great shot of Mickey. Maybe I'll find a nicer one one day and/or someone could add more concrete information but I just like the whole look of it.

Basically, yes - it’s a TGIFridays placemat! Met him randomly at the restaurant, he talked with us throughout dinner, and signed a placemat for me. For a high school senior in Pittsburgh whose favorite player was (and still is) Lynn Swann, it was a hell of an experience.

First pickup of the new month...
I got this in the mail on Friday:
welp, gotta do some relationship repair so this is it for me this month. As always with me every card matters and means something
Another one for me. I gotta stop. The month just started.

Thanks for the kind words guys!
I’ve been looking for this card for quite a while...only 15 copies have ever been submitted to PSA!

It seems almost sacrilegious to call Brown "Jimmy", kind of like "Bob" Clemente.

Nice cards, guys. Pretty stoked to pick up this Mantle, and PSA 8 Henderson which I subbed myself.....
Wow, fantastic pickup guys. @initialD impressive signed rookie card collection. Your Jeter is awesome.

Say what you want about Pete Rose but he knows exactly the right place to sign his rookie card. AlsoI love the Karl Malone!

Amazing collection initialD. I would have paid an admission to view those cards. Luckily the forum is free.
