Well...I gave into my temptation and bid on the '62 Koufax psa-8.5 with a pop 1/1. Yes...it is has a color issue on part of his jersey but overall a nice card. Centering appears to be 55/45 side to side and 60/40 top to bottom...edges and corners are very nice. It probably would not receive a PWCC sticker Darn! It is now in my collection...flaw and all:
WOW! Those are SWEET!! Just got a few in myself today; man71’s are AWESOME!
These are the only two 9s I’ve ever self-subbed. Harder than getting 10s for other sets!
GORGEOUS!! I have 3 in that could pop any day now; Been checking my subs non stop LOL!! Had a huge day last night myself; Greg Morris had a NR-MT Or Better Steve Carlton that sold for a premium! (Way out of my league).
I'm not usually a new age collector nor am I a BGS submitter always PSA but thought I would see what the hype was about and bought a couple boxes of the 2019 Bowman. I never heard of the players so of course looked them up and was kind of in shock. I submitted the cards for the first time and received the cards today. Here Was the results

Working on my first bulk sub; here’s what I’m most excited to submit! In addition to these I have some great 75’s and 76’s to go with these! I’m kind of collecting all over the place; when these go in I should have 39 ‘71’s graded!
I have enough cards for 4, maybe 5 bulk subs ranging from 1953-1982! Time to start preparing! 😁

In a way, you can look at the fact that PSA is so tough on ‘71s as a plus when buying. I feel this card should be an 8, but I only had to pay for a 7!

Nice looking card! The 7 costs enough as it is. I have a 6 now that will need an upgrade at some point.
This is the type of guy that if you collect old cards (1969 and older, a debatable point) you’re almost required to get something bearing his likeness. For me, my current set pursuit set in motion the need to kill the proverbial two birds with one stone; an apt analogy given that he was lethal with a baseball bat in his hands on the field (and allegedly had a murderous mean streak off it). He certainly has a huge fan base but it’s not always clear if they actually like him like him or just respect the numbers, the records, the toughness and the fact that a hundred years later, he’s still a baseball figure that with just one name everyone knows who you mean.

Got this really nice catalog from Hunt Auctions - a lot of really nice Ruth items from the family - this note from Lou Gehrig to the Babe is priceless IMO.
First up, a nice vintage card. Can't go wrong with a Mint Wilt, especially when the seller accepts your offer on an eBay Bucks promo day
On to the shiny stuff. A lot of cool stuff for my Warriors collection.
As a fun side project, I have been collecting Curry and KD jersey numbered cards for about a year now when I see them pop up at reasonable prices. After the Warriors performance against the Blazers I felt compelled to try to pick up some Klay and Dray jersey numbered cards. The Draymond card is epic and is on its way. The Klay is in hand and was already graded. Serial numbered to #11/49.
Ok, now for the straw that stirs the drink. The only unanimous MVP the NBA has seen.
I grabbed this Jersey numbered Threads card because I really liked the design and photo in the card. Serial numbered to #30/99.
Later, I purchased the Gold version of the card numbered #9/10
I also got another jersey numbered card, #30/99
Then two of my favorite insert sets that Panini has designed already graded.
@UFFDAH that is one my favorite MJ inserts and yours is gorgeous. I just finally sent mine to PSA so got my fingers crossed here.
@slum22 Great stuff! Speaking of MVP's, the stars are aligned for Curry to maybe finally get that first Finals MVP with KD's injury up in the air. Steph has been on fire these past few weeks and all he has to do is keep it going a few more. He may catch a break with GS likely facing Toronto & Kyle Lowry over Milwaukee & 1st team All Defensive Eric Bledsoe.

Just got this MJ oddball piece in the mail today. This was a 3x5 t-shirt offer order form that was included inside the 1989 Come Fly With Me VHS video case and Its actually made out of cloth. The seller admitted he went the cheaper quicker route grading as Authentic and after comparing to about 30 different copies of this card I think it has a legit shot at an 8 with a regrade. Most had scuff marks on the top & bottom edges where this one was just the bottom.

Great pickup! This is a favorite of mine, it's on my wantlist, just haven't broken down and gotten one yet. Good luck on the grade, I agree that it has a shot at an 8.
here's my recent sub return. the purple judge is perfect, inspected over and over. first time came back a PSA 9. I was fully confident so I cracked and resubbed for a 10. the Arenado was a freebie I got when I purchased a raw target red, and the eTopps Jeters were all purchased so I could complete the 2001-2011 run. totally lucked out on them, they can be tough. bad QC when they were printed. the 2007 is a pop 4, none higher. sold it to a super collector that needed the upgrade from an 8 to a 9 in exchange for his PSA 8 and cash. and the mirror images, I can barely get any to grade above a 9 when I submit anything from this series. it appears PSA is very tough on these, wish I knew where it was lacking.
I have a new favorite card in my collection. Thought this one had drifted totally out of my price range but found one that was a nice combination of condition and price.

Thanks Erik. I am mainly just rooting for the Warriors to finish off this run with the title, but Curry winning the MVP would be incredible. The guy is labelled as someone who doesn't come through in the Finals because his team has three titles and he has zero Finals MVPs but his career averages for the Finals are: 25.4 PPG, 5.9 RPG, 5.4 APG on 45/41/93 FG/3FG/FT%'s. I don't have the full list of Finals stats for HOFers in front of me, but it is hard for me to believe there's many players with better stat lines than this.

That is a great statline. He's played very well in the Finals it's just that the first win saw Iguodala do a bit of everything and these last two had KD scoring at will while hitting some iconic shots. I personally don't think he needs to validate his career by winning a Finals MVP but it would be cool seeing it happen though.

beyond nice, marlin. i've stared at my fair share of these, and your specimen is a marvelous one. centering, edges & corners all there, but the best attribute (imo) is the lack of color bleed from an adjacent card on the sheet. that has always been a surefire way of sending my OCD into orbit.
