As long as you didn't get in on the complete 80s rip. image

He still has to mail those out, you know. Might be smart to lay off until he can't marinade your packs in a bowl of raspberry vinagraite overnight.

Since they're mini's, you could say they are only o/c by a fraction of an inch...

Thanks for all the work on this Zef, and best wishes this weekend!

Oh, and thanks for scooping up all the packs with the bad centering.

Just to let you all know, there were some packs that had slight tears on the corners as Steve took them out of the boxes. They came like that. The cards shouldn't be affected, but if you get one of these, I'm sorry. Steve is mailing them off and doesn't know most of you from Adam, so it really is just luck of the draw.

Yes, let's take a guess at what will be pulled. Of course a lot will depend on how many packs are opened. Here are my guesses:

Based on the law of averages, 10 cards per pack, 36 packs per box, 16 boxes means on average we should get about 9 of each card. Of those 9, I predict if all packs were to be opened, we'd find:

5 PSA 10's of a star card (e.g., Bench, Yaz, Schmidt or perhaps a key RC or Ryan)

    Brett RC - 1 PSA 9, 3 8's, the rest O/C or wax stained
    Yount RC - 2 PSA 9's, 3 8's, the rest O/C or wax stained
    Ryan - 1 PSA 9, 3 PSA 8's, the rest O/C or wax stained

If the whole run is diamond cut like zef's, skew these predictions down one whole grade.

I would love if someone got a PSA 10-worthy Schmidt or Schmidt HR Leaders card!

That Brock was a pretty phenomenal example.
I am actively buying MIKE SCHMIDT gem mint baseball cards. Also looking for any 19th century cabinets of Philadephia Nationals. Please PM with additional details.

Card is cut at a tilt. I have one extreme example where if you place the cards picture correctly/even only one bottom corner touches ground and the other one has 1/8 gap. *sorry no pic as I am at work* Im sure someone else can explain better. LMK if you want a pic later.

blade - The Bench and Fisk cards from zefs 75 minis on page 27 of this thread show the tilting described by 1989Fleer.
The Brock also pictured shows a slight tilting. The hope is to get cards where the edges of the card are parallel to the edges
of the image on the card.

In other words, the picture appears as if the card is tilted when in fact it's squared.

    image

Notice on the Bench and Mantle/Aaron it's tilting bottom left to top right?

looks good!......well done!.........................sux @ diamond cuts but still good cards............is this an investment for most or the thrill of ripping or checking out the historical content of the card. For me its all the above.image..............or maybe just maybe reliving the past.

Would it be useful for the pack rippers to record the sequencing of their cards to create a master sequence list? Such a list would be available to the involved parties. Just a suggestion, as it would be incredible information to have and perhapps a rare opportunity to capture the data.

Here's a different kind of diamond cut in which the card actually does have a diamond shape (or is that a parallelogram image ) and not just in relation to the image. Pulled this beauty out of a factory set.
