Finally...my first T206. It's not in the best shape, but I had to have a Senator with at least a "W" showing on his uniform. I thought at first that the auction title had a mispelled name -- "Wid" instead of "Kid". I guess not!

What an awesome run of cards in this thread. I've seen cards/sets I've never heard about before. Amazing.

What's the most posts in a thread in the Sports forums? I would assume the Open Forum would have some kind of long-running thread, but this has to be close to, if not the largest, response to a thread -- this is the 2854th post!

"Mail Call!" was always a special time in the service -- and appears to be here...

I'm the last person I would expect to post right now but I have some money in my paypal acct. - so I picked up this 63F card for my set - moving along nicely - the set is in PSA 8 - a very safe and affordable grade. This card is nicely centered - I may scan all the cards and put them in the registry?

    Very nice cards ToppsCo.

I don't have any of the chromes graded and I've stopped handling them - I noticed I was leaving all kinds of fingerprints on them!

Thanks Stone! I also picked up a 91 UD Chipper Jones SGC 92 for maybe 1.00? I have probably 15-20 copies of that card but eh, why pay for grading when I can buy this one and do a little comparing before had. Chrome card and I do not get along, as it seems a smear or print or smudge can always be seen. I'm going for a Gem Mint Mulder Master set. Yeah I missed out on that Gold Chrome though. Eh, ya win some you lose some. Luckily I had gotten a little caught up in getting that card and bid more than my personal limit. But I still have some stuff coming in that'll quench the card thirst.

Some autos I picked up recently. It's my third and fourth Feller autos, all which look real real unique(I mean, look at those cards and I have a 5x7 cartoon auto which is real nice and another auto'd card). The bottom is Ed Figoura(sp), he's a Yankee so I'm a fan. The Bench looks nice in person but it was signed with an elcheapo(thinking Bic) pen that didn't roll smooth but eh.

These haven't arrived yet but I won them off the bay....Luckily for me I was under the impression they were the Topps Finest auto/rcs while they are the Contenders autos(2) of Brandon Jacobs(RB, NYGs); The top row of cards are not mine btw
    image

Hopefully this seller will come through. I bought a 05 Bowman Chrome FB hobby box, an UNC green refractor unopened, as well as the 2 Jacobs rookie/autos quite a while ago from this seller. He has great feedback and those that left him negs(2 out of 1200+) were for really late shipping. As long as these arrive I could honestly care less. I got the whole package for less than 50 bucks so hopefully he'll hold up his end of the deal. If not I'll air him out on this board and make sure I get my money back as well.

When you get those cards, I would like to see them with a better scan.

On the Mulder card - it's a 2005 Leaf? How come the date is 2003? Confusing.

Nice card tho - gonna get it graded?

I will be rescanning the Jacobs when they come in.

I think the camera is set to the wrong year in the Mulder shot. I'm going to check the top right(in picture) corner under my printing loupe to see if it's worth it. I think I will just to get it encapsulated, ya know b/c it offers way more protection to it. Tonight I'm on a little bay binge and hopefully I'll pull in some other stuff for my collection.

I've completed 56/176, so near 1/3 of the way there. It's my first vintage set and I'm really enjoying it, although I realize I've now knocked off most of the "easy" cards in the set. It's going to get a lot more difficult as I progress.
