Love the design of that Brooks card Matt.

BoSox, those sweet spot cards are probably the only modern cards that I would consider collecting they're too sweet no pun intended.

Murphdawg-Nice 57's! It's always amazing to me how nice even beater cards (which yours aren't by any means) can look with a nice auto on them.

Matt-Thats a cool Emmitt. I really like card that have a great picture of a player doing something you normally wouldn't associate them with (like Emmitt stretching out for a catch).

Collecting the modern guy like Griffey is fun but its hard to keep up with the newer issues. I like mostly stuff to 96 and a few cards that I like the card design or picture or its just so odd like the bobbing head that I will buy it. I have been working on a master set for Griffey and let me tell you he has a ton of stuff!
I just got these 2 . You can say what you want about modern cards but some of this stuff is just beautiful!

    Can't agree more!

When UD premiered, it changed the whole way I looked at photography and BB cards! Then the UV coated cards came out - and Fleer Ultra had some of the best photography on the planet!

The 1992 F Ultra, for me, was off the chart. Great photography coupled with super action shots.

Keeping up with all the cards of Griffey is a large task - he must have about 3-4000 cards by now!

A favorite of mine is the Pinnacle card where Griff is blowing a large bubble - do you that one handy?

    Thanx for sharing

I think I know which one your talking about, its either 95 or 96? I don't have that one. Here are a few more I have received in the
last week or so. Awesome photography and looking at the 2004 Topps who said Griffey was washed up?

That is awesome! What are the dimensions of the T3's? I was actually wondering if something modern would fit inside?Or are they just for T3's?

    Thanks Mike!

I bought that one already graded, I do have a Fred Clarke at PSA right now though, should get a 4.

    5¾ x 8"

They were designed just for the T3's I believe. T3's cost $50 per card to grade too! But they look sooooo good in a PSA holder!

It was kind of corny but that stupid 89 Topps test heads up Griffey would be cool to have in a holder. Not that one ever comes up for sale but if it does I would like the protection. Wonder if PSA would consider it? They are a little bit thicker then a normal card so they might not fit anyways?

They raised it to $50 with that last group of new fees a few weeks ago. $50 and it still takes 20 business days.

    My last Griffeys for today:

    image

The one of interest is the Fanfest of 92 - wow, there was a major buzz at the National over these cards!
A case of sets had ONE Gold set! Everyone was hoping the set they purchased was THE set.

I still have a bunch of them somewhere - shared a case with some friends. Why did I guy them?
    Cause I'm an idiot!

If memory serves me correct, you can tell which sets are the gold ones. The printing on the protective plastic is different. Not sure how...but they may have solid letters instead of outlined ones on the wrapping?

When I get to that kind of stuff - I'll have to do some checking.

I think the 92 Basketball Fanfest has that kind of designation and not the baseball?

24 pieces of 1980 topps super cello gum. i bought this super cello box from bbce last xmas and busted it earlier this month. no henderson or really that many HOF cards, but there were lots of non-chipped low pop commons. i probably know far too much about this particular year, but i like the set and the cards are pretty tough to come by in mint condition (despite pretty low prices they currently command on e-bay) so that makes collecting fun. i have around 250+ more 1980 topps i want to send in this year, but for now its on the backburner.
