    yawie,
nice back on the Smith, that makes the card. I don't have Hindu back yet. I'm looking to pick up all the different backs. Its not easy. By the way, I checked your registry for T206. You are making good progress and I like the way you post your scans, front and back.

    Mike,

Yep, it comes from the 1974-75 OPC WHA set. The WHA was the second major hockey league which rivaled the NHL. They started up in 1972-73 season. When they folded the Oilers, Whalers, Jets and Quebec Nordiques were moved into the NHL.

    Thanx Garret

    Steve

Did you know the Doyle had that mark when you picked the card up - I would have put that more on a print rather than mark - what did someone do? Take a marker to it?

I picked up a T3 that I missed a faint pencil mark - just part of the fun I guess?

    thanx for sharing

Figured I'd jump in on this one with an oddball issue that just came in. Never heard of these before I bid on it on Ebay.

Nice stick, Knuckles. Fuhr's probably my all-time favorite goalie. Even though he was nearing the end of his career when he was here, the Blues really have not yet found an adequate replacement.

I bought the Doyle already graded, Stone. The guy I bought it from said he thought it was more of a print problem, too. I really can't tell what it is, but I was definitely happy to pick up the card for well under a typical PSA 4 price.

Here's a 1994 postcard set commemorating the 1969 miracle Met's. This set was limited to 25,000, which is fairly easy to locate, but a few unnumbered sets also exist but are harder to find. This is the unnumbered set. The numbered set has a number in front of the "of 25,000". Been looking for it for over 10 years.

The box cover shows all the Mets.

    Cool Garvey item Only

BTW, I went to HS with Steve in Tampa - I was not good enough to be a starter at Chamberlain HS but the rock band I was in kicked butt!!!

    Knucks

A GU stick!! That is too cool - it will look good next to your other stuff on display!!! Way to go.

    Donato

That's a cool set! I have one too - my brother gave it to me - he used to work for the printer who made up the set back in the 90s - he lives in New York. Obviously some sets were back doored like mine and yours.

I would really like to have the set auto'ed by all the survivors! Wouldn't that be cool!

    thanx for sharing guys

    Yes Don
My guess is the printer made x amount and then as a separate process, they put the numbers on the sets. So there may be a mess of unnumbered sets given out to friends.

As I said, my brother was working for the printer and that's how I got my set.

Da big hurt wants to know if your testicles are doing okay? After he made his brilliant analogy, all of the cu memeber's testicular health is of the utmost importance to him. He was embarrassed to ask after that whole 1983 -1985 thing,so I did it for him.

Nice Matty - that's not your first is it?

    Tenn

I'm looking forward to a few scans. I'm very "bullish" on PSA!

    Brum

Thanx for the info - nice item. And BTW, saw Garvey on TV ad for Bosley and he is looking good for an old man - but I wouldn't be surprised if he dyes his hair!

    Julen

Those are off the chart - are they from a pack?

Is Lowell Palmer cool or what? He was doing the sunglass thing 30 years before Oakley jumped on the bandwagon. Too bad he stunk. I looked up his career record - 5 W, 18 L, 5.29 ERA. In 1970, he was fourth in the league with 14 Wild Pitches (in just 102 innings - 1 WP/7.2 Inn). But he did hit one home run, no doubt while wearing the shades.

    Great '71s!

$1,549 delivered for the pair, from the most recent Mike Gutierrez auction. I had to sell of a bunch of stuff from my personal collection for this one. My small stash of Cuban oddballs, a bunch of Venezuelan Topps, a Howie Fox 1951 Bowman autograph, and some other cards as well. I plan on getting them slabbed at the Fort Washington show. Do you have to be a PSA member now to use the PSA/DNA service?
