These arrived the other day from PSA/DNA. I can't afford the T3s, so these are the next best thing. They look great slabbed. I really love the Berra image.
At least with this set there seems to be a light at the end of the tunnel.

Nice Worthy card. This set should be easier to complete than the 1984, but I would not give up on the 84. I think it's a neat set with the head shot in the box. Good luck with the 1988 Fleer.
I'm a big fan of the PS's since they do resemble the T3s.
I was tracking a really nice Mantle that wasn't graded but was PSA/DNA - but let it go.
The Berra is a classic look - I just wish he would sign a bit larger - I have a Litho where the auto is dwarfed and looks kind of odd.
Thanx for sharing mike >>
Mike, You are right, Berra's auto is tiny.
One thing I do like is when a player doesn't sign over his portrait. To me it looks better. It's not always possible depending on the image, but on cabinet cards like these I like it when a player uses the empty space. I've seen this same Whitey Ford card with the signature over his mid-section, and to me it doesn't look as good. That's why I love these Ford and Berra cards. Its nice when you can find what you like!
I picked this up about 1 month ago. It's a 1974 Nolan Ryan Puzzle proof sheet. This is the only way to see what the Ryan puzzle looks like with a white border on all 4 sides. As some of you may or may not know, all of the Nolan Ryan puzzles have no white border on the right side. The Proof sheet has the feel and is about the thickness of magazine stock.

When I saw 707 I figured you were desperate for the cards
LOL I was. I saw an 8 go for 340.00 the other nite and the Boyer always goes for 100.00 - 125.00 so For the price of a Boyer in 8 I got both and the Carty is hi end for the grade. the boyer is an average 7 IMO.
In response after seeing Brumbach's Deion. One of the hardest cards to find out of my master set. Just received back from grading this week. Could of used a better graded but at least i got my GPA over 95%.
Just received today, a key card for my 1953 Topps Cards and Browns wall display. A little soft but wasn't a bad price.
Win, i have to pick me up one of those Boyer's along with a 57.
tk, thanks! This card I just got and was very suprised at the quality. Top to bottom centering is a smidge off but the corners are sooooo razor sharp. Print quality is TOP NOTCH with not a whisper of printy clutter and the image is razor sharp. One of the best I have picked up on e-bay in a while. And I hit it with a BIN for 19.99 !!!

I bought it from a dealer who won it on a Robert Edward Auction. It was 2 uncut sheets with 6 puzzles on each sheet. I asked him about cutting it up since I was only interested in the Ryan. And for the right price he did. Now I'm just looking for a Ryan uncut puzzle. As I said before this is just a thin proof sheet.
I've been waiting a long time to add soemthing to this thread. I've really enjoyed everyone's posts and scans. There's really a lot of great cards and memorabilia out there and all of you keep finding the best of the best.
So here's my humble contribution - Warren Spahn had been one of my favorites since about 1956. I ran across this mag on ebay last week - I'd never seen it before. It has great pictures and articles and deals entirely with Spahnie. It's from 1964.
That's a nice card. Did not realize Signature Rookies made phone cards. The only problem I have with some of the newer autos is they are mostly initials instead of a full auto. Nice card non the less.

Nice Perez-Steel cards.

Night before last I ordered from 707's website. Today in my mail:
This was the forst time I ever ordered from Levi's website. His service is outstanding.
Price? Together I paid 25% of what the last 2 PSA 8's went for on the bay. And both were not as nice centering wise. IMO
15 more to go and I am done. I may upgrade a few 7's (at my price)
Steve
