Last year of the Carson City gold.
Came in this morning. Second buy from APMEX. Been watching this one for 2 months. I'm surprised no one claimed this before I did. Closes out the top 3 $20 dates I wanted, the other two were bought earlier this year.
Looks like a completely different coin compared to true view.
Throw a coin enough times, and suppose one day it lands on its edge.
These were originally in the blue envelope, right? I can't remember but it seems I had a 71-S when I was young. I think I opened mine up (like an idiot). Anyway, way cool!

Yes, they were in the blue envelopes. NGC did not want the envelopes sent with coin. I like how they are protective more this way than just the sealed package. Their increased value is also a plus.

One for my circulated type sets, and one an ancient Electrum Ionian coin from 600-650 BC. I always wanted one of those Electrum coins. Supposedly one of the first coins ever made.
Just an absolutely, breathtakingly outstanding coin you have there. Such original character at every turn. Major congratulations for what I’d call a dream coin every single day and twice on Sunday! Jaw DROPPING!
Having fun while switching things up and focusing on a next level PCGS slabbed 1950+ type set, while still looking for great examples for the 7070.
I bought this raw. It was in a dealer's showcase and I had to have it! It has amazing luster and tone!

1799 BB-154 NGC AU53
One of the finest known. Terminal die state.
Has great color too, but not captured here with the DinoLite.
This is a difficult variety for the date.
It shouldn't be confused with the just scarce BB-168.
The condition census I have recorded, from observations is:
PCGS MS63 (Die State III) Terrell
PCGS AU58 (Die State III) Miller
NGC AU58 (Die State II)
PCGS AU(58) Details (Die State I)
PCGS AU55 CAC (No Longer Registered) Hesselgesser
NGC AU55 (Die State II)
NGC AU53 (Die State V) -- This Coin
PCGS AU53 (Die State IV) Miller
PCGS AU50 CAC (Die State IV)
PCGS AU50 (Die State I) Miller-Hagemeyer
PCGS AU50 (Die State III) (No Longer Registered)

A common variety but in a die state that had eluded me. 1799 BB-157 Die State I/II, with only the beginning of the reverse die crack.
Takes my breath away…. just OUTSTANDING!!!!!
